Each slave node preloads the new version of the replicated file from the shared file system and acknowledges successful completion. Upon reception of all acknowledgments in the synchronization slave node a notification of preloading achievement is forwarded to the master server which updates the master database.2013-02-07
20130036093Reliable Writing of Database Log Data - The invention concerns reliable writing of database log data, In particular, the invention concerns a computer system, methods and software to enable database log data to be written to recoverable storage in a reliable way. There is provided a computer system (2013-02-07
20130036094METHOD FOR DETERMINING A SUPPORTED CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN APPLICATIONS - A computer-implemented system and method that analyzes metadata of the first application to identify a first data object and one or more first fields of the first data object, the first data object and the first fields being part of the metadata of the first application, identifies one or more second applications having a second data object with one or more second fields, and determines, for at least one of the second applications, a supported connectivity with the first application and whether the supported connectivity is a point-to-point connectivity or a connectivity through a central design time repository.2013-02-07
20130036095DISCOVERY OF NON-STANDARD FOLDERS FOR BACKUP - The identifying folder paths for backup techniques include a method, a system, and/or a computer software product. In some embodiments of these techniques, the method includes scanning a client device for folders. The method further includes identifying one or more folder paths on a client device according to a pre-defined criteria associated with a backup policy for the client device. The method further includes consolidating the one or more folder paths into a consolidated list of folder paths. The method further includes presenting the consolidated list of one or more folder paths to a user. This Abstract is provided for the sole purpose of complying with the Abstract requirement rules. This Abstract is submitted with the explicit understanding that it will not be used to interpret or to limit the scope or the meaning of the claims.2013-02-07
20130036096MECHANISM FOR FACILITATING DYNAMIC CLONING OF DATA RECORDS IN AN ON-DEMAND SERVICES ENVIRONMENT - In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating dynamic cloning of data records in an on-demand services environment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving a request for cloning of a data record. The cloning request contains instructions relating to the cloning of the data record. The method may further include examining one or more existing data records associated with the data record, and cloning, at a computing device, the data record into one or more data records based on the information contained within the cloning request and the examination of the one or more existing data records.2013-02-07
20130036097DATA FINGERPRINTING FOR COPY ACCURACY ASSURANCE - Systems and methods are disclosed for efficiently creating a data fingerprint to identify or characterize contents of a data object by using a selection function to select a plurality of non-contiguous regions from the data object, the selected regions each having a small number of bytes relative to the number of bytes in the data object and being distributed throughout the data object so that the selected regions comprise a sparse subset of the data of the data object yet provide a significant probability of including bytes that change if the data object were modified; and performing a hash operation on the data to produce a fingerprint based on the sparse subset of the data object. The data fingerprint thereby efficiently provides an indication of the contents of the data object, so that comparing data fingerprints can determine if the data objects are different if the corresponding fingerprints are different.2013-02-07
