20140097938EVENT DETECTOR AND MEDICAMENT DISPENSER HAVING SUCH AN EVENT DETECTOR - A compact battery-free event detector having a switching element, which can be remagnetized in a bistable manner by a magnet in a sensor coil which then provides an event pulse and supplies a non-volatile memory circuit with a downstream non-volatile display, is designed to detect recurring movements by virtue of the switching element being able to be moved back and forth relative to the magnet between the activation and regeneration fields of its two poles. The manual operation of an inhalation or injection piston in a medicament dispenser can therefore be detected, in particular, and a dose of medicament, for instance, can be monitored thereby. The display is preferably created using e-paper or e-ink technology which, like the memory circuit which is operated only sporadically, obtains its energy needed to change the indication from the event pulse from the sensor coil.04-10-2014
20140159867INTEGRATED VISUAL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM IN AN ACCESSORY DEVICE - The described embodiments relate generally to an accessory device for a tablet device. The accessory device takes the form of a flexible screen protector that can be disposed over a display portion of the tablet device. Because the flexible screen protector covers the display of the tablet there is no visual way for the tablet to provide notifications to the user while the screen protector overlays it. By providing a data and power connection between the tablet and the accessory device, the processor of the tablet device can command illumination elements disposed in the accessory device to be illuminated in any of a number of illumination states. Each of the illumination states can be associated with an operating state of the tablet device thereby allowing the tablet device to visually communicate operating state information while the display is covered.06-12-2014
20140197923MARKETING INFORMATION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - An assembly includes an electronic price label having an outer casing, a cover attached to the electronic price label and a marketing sign that highlights the electronic price label. The outer casing of the electronic price label module houses a display screen and circuitry for sending and receiving data signals over a network. The cover includes a front panel having a window. The window exposes the display screen of the electronic price label and a sensor on the electronic price label that sends and receives the data signals over the network. The marketing sign includes an opening defined by a perimeter. The perimeter surrounds the outer casing of the electronic price label and at least a portion of the marketing sign is located behind the front panel of the cover.07-17-2014

20150317892CONTEXT BASED ALERT SYSTEM - An embodiment allows for context based alerts/alarms. For example, an embodiment may automatically determine that a user is in a meeting with another person based on a meeting entry in the user's calendar. In such a situation the embodiment may divert an incoming phone call, which would ordinarily result in a ring tone, to go directly to voice mail based on the calendar entry. In an embodiment the alert may be delayed until the meeting concludes. Unlike conventional systems, various embodiments do not require a user to change notification rules, manually flip a hardware switch, or create a “Do Not Disturb” setting that allows just a single “silent” time during the day. An embodiment allows data in a calendar to automatically drive the behavior of how a notification panel operates. Other embodiments are described herein.11-05-2015
