20110034189METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IDENTIFYING TRANSMITTERS IN A SINGLE FREQUENCY NETWORK BROADCAST SYSTEM - Methods and systems for identifying transmitters within a single frequency network calculates signal path delays to a measurement location from each transmitter based on separation distance and individual transmitter transmission variances. Scenarios of predicted signal arrival times are calculated using the signal path delays, with each scenario assuming a different transmitter source of the strongest received signal within a short channel. Short channels with non-zero power measurements may be clustered into groups corresponding to each transmitter's expected signal arrival short channel. The scenario best matching the data may be determined, such as by adding the power measurements within each cluster of each scenario to determine a total received power associated with each scenario. The scenario most correlated to the power measurements identifies the transmitter associated with the strongest signal transmitters in network. Power measurements within each cluster can then be used to calculate the received signal strength for each transmitter.02-10-2011

20110070904Binding Wireless Devices In a Building Automation System - On a first level of the wireless building automation architecture, sensors and associated actuators communicate directly. The sensor performs control processes appropriate for the sensor and regardless of the type of actuator being used. The actuator performs control processes specific to the actuator regardless of the type of sensor being used. By direct wireless communication between sensors and actuators, the opportunity for a failed communications link using a hub and spoke arrangement may be avoided. Communication redundancy is provided by receiving the outputs of sensors at a controller, such as a controller on a second high speed or high bandwidth tier of the architecture. Regional control is implemented in the higher level tier. The higher level tier may override or control operation of components of the lower level tier as needed. The distributed control processing allows for more convenient room level integration. Where a problem is detected, such as a fire, corrective action begins within the immediate region of the sensor generating an alarm signal. The corrective action occurs without routing the alarm signal to upper levels of control processes or across different systems. The alarm signal is also propagated to upper level control systems for generating appropriate responses in other zones. To provide the different zones and avoid interference, the transmit power of the sensors and actuators is controlled as a function of two or more other devices.03-24-2011

20160037462RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE, RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CONGESTION CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORD MEDIUM - A radio communication device that communicates with other radio communication devices that become communication partners includes first detection means that detects moving states of said other radio communication devices; second detection means that detects a moving state of its own device; third detection means that detects a congestion level of communication between said other radio communication devices or a congestion level of communication between said other radio communication devices and said own device; transmission means that transmits a radio signal from said own device to said other communication devices; and control means that controls said transmission means to transmit the radio signal based on the moving states of said other radio communication devices, the moving state of said own device, and said congestion level.02-04-2016
20160066204USER EQUIPMENT ASSISTANCE FOR INTERFERENCE MITIGATION IN UNLICENSED FREQUENCY BANDS - A first base station selects a subset of channels of an unlicensed frequency band based on indications of energy received over the channels. The first base station transmits one or more messages instructing user equipment to monitor the subset of channels and report information indicating whether at least one second base station is transmitting over the subset of channels. User equipment monitors the subset of channels of the unlicensed frequency band in response to receiving the one or more messages from a first base station indicating the subset of channels. The user equipment transmits one or more messages including information indicating whether one or more second base stations are transmitting over the subset of channels.03-03-2016
20160112981METHOD FOR MEASURING POSITION IN M2M SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREFOR - The present invention relates to a method for enabling a machine-to-machine (M2M) gateway to measure the position of an M2M device, and an apparatus therefore, and the method includes the steps of: receiving a request for generating a first resource representing the way of obtaining positional information form a first M2M device; if the generation request contains the information for indicating commonly based positional measurement, determining the device closest to the first M2M device; and setting the positional information of the closest device as the positional information for the first m2M device, wherein if the M2M gateway does not have network topological information, or at least one M2M device connected to the m2M gateway does not have positional information, the M2M topological information, and the at least one M2M device connected to the M2M gateway has positional information, the device having the minimum number of hops from the first M2M device among the at least one M2M device is determined as the closest device, and the first resource represents a data structure capable of being uniquely addressed using address information.04-21-2016
20160119410METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING REMOTE TASK USING GUEST DEVICE - A method whereby a host device accesses a remote server and performs a task is disclosed, the method including receiving a task command regarding the remote server; searching for a guest device capable of communicating with the host device and the remote server; determining a task performing pattern based on a found guest device and details of the task; and, according to the determined task performing pattern, performing the task via the host device and one or more devices selected from among found guest devices.04-28-2016
20160119972COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION TIMING CONTROL APPARATUS, CONNECTION CONTROL APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION TIMING CONTROL METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM - An exemplary object of the present invention is to provide a communication system capable of efficiently and equally allocating communication opportunities.
