20090104854 | Method for Relief-Grinding the Cutting Teeth of Taps, Thread Formers, and Similar Tools, and Grinding Machine for Carrying Out Said Method - In prior art, an additional radial inward movement that is performed in accordance with a rotating cam disk is imparted on the grinding disk in order to relief-grind the cutting teeth and the chamfer of taps and the cutting teeth of thread formers. The invention relates to a cam disk which can be rotated about an axis and is provided with a control cam. The control cam forms a group of curves according to a large number of possible undercut contours on the grinding teeth of the tap or thread former, which are to be relief-ground. In order to obtain a specific undercut contour on a cutting tooth, a limited angle of rotation is selected from the control cam. The area is mechanically, optically, or electronically scanned by means of a scanning device. To this avail, the cam disk performs an oscillating rotary movement only above the selected section of the control cam. Relief-grinding of the cutting tooth is completed once a fore-and-aft movement has been performed, and the grinding disk returns to the starting position thereof. The result of the scan is transmitted to an electronic control device via a signal line. | 04-23-2009 |
20090117831 | Method Of Manufacturing Treatment Device And Treatment Device - A tapered cutting edge portion and a continuous raised portion from the tapered cutting edge portion are ground in an edge portion of a straight grinding raw material so that an eccentricity is not generated. In a method for grinding a treatment device, one end portion of a tapered grinding raw material is inserted between a grinding surface of a grindstone and a pressing surface of a press block, and finishing surfaces opposite each other while having a predetermined dimension, shape, and angle are ground so that a direction in which abrasive grains of the grindstone run corresponds to a direction of a shaft center. At this point, before the finishing surfaces are ground in the predetermined dimension, shape, and angle which are previously set corresponding to an objective reamer, pre-grinding is performed while a necessary finishing margin with respect to at least one of the surfaces, and then finishing grinding is performed to the other surface. | 05-07-2009 |

20110039478 | GRINDING COMPOSITION FOR SHARPENING SHREDDER BLADES, GRINDING SHEET AND GRINDING PRODUCT MANUFACTURED, AND RELATED MANUFACTURING PROCESS - A grinding composition for sharpening shredder blades of a shredder includes, based on total weight of the grinding composition, from 51 to 65 wt % of a grinding powder; from 5 to 35 wt % of a viscous grease agent; and from 3 to 30 wt % of at least one functional additive. A grinding sheet formed from the composition is used as a grinding product alone or in a bag. The composition is sealed in a bag and used as a grinding product. A process for manufacturing the latter grinding product employs an automatic form-fill-seal packaging machine. The shredder blades of a paper shredder are sharpened satisfactorily by the grinding composition as the grinding sheet or grinding product is shredded. The useful life of shredders is cost effectively extended while providing convenience in use that saves time and labor. | 02-17-2011 |
20110097976 | TWIST DRILL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TWIST DRILL WHICH METHOD INCLUDES FORMING A FLUTE OF A TWIST DRILL - There is now provided a twist drill and a method for producing a twist drill which method includes forming a flute of a twist drill. The drill has drill material and a tip portion with a cutting lip. The drill has a land structure and a flute to remove chip residue. The land structure has a flute wall and a cutting edge structure that is disposed longitudinally along the flute wall. The cutting edge structure has a first portion at the drill tip portion and a second portion disposed away from the drill tip portion. The flute wall extends further into the land structure at the second portion of the cutting edge structure than at the tip portion to provide a greater amount of drill material at the tip portion than at the second portion of the cutting edge structure. The flute wall extends further into the land structure at the second portion of the cutting edge structure than at the tip portion to provide a greater flute volume per length at the second portion of the cutting edge structure than at the drill tip portion. The method provides for forming a drill with a grinding tool to form different angular transitions of the cutting edge structure. | 04-28-2011 |
