20090215285CIRCUIT CARD CONNECTOR ARRANGEMENT FOR IMPROVED CARD INSERTION/REMOVAL DETECTION - A circuit card connector arrangement is provided, wherein one of the connectors on the card is recessed relative to the other connectors. Using this arrangement, insertion and extraction detection of the card into another card is optimized without the need for a short pin on the other card. The recessed connector is the last connector on the card to make electrical contact with the other card upon insertion and the first connector to lose electrical contact with the other card upon extraction. Since the degree of recess and the choice of which connector is recessed is made by the designer of the inserted card rather than dependent on the design of the main card or board, such as a backplane, onto which the card is inserted, greater flexibility is possible in the design of the card and of the insertion/extraction circuitry on the card. In addition, insertion and extraction can be detected even if the main board does not have a short pin, such as occurs in some legacy system.08-27-2009

The pair of fastening elements respectively passes through the restriction sections and the side sections of the first PCB to align and position the relative position between the insulative housing and the first PCB for achieving more reliably electrical connection between the first PCB and the contacts.12-04-2014
20150351242ASSEMBLY OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS - A printed circuit board (PCB) assembly includes a first PCB and a second PCB disposed substantially parallel and opposite to each other, such that a second side of the first PCB is opposite to a first side of the second PCB; wherein the second PCB has a first set of side connectors on its first side and a second set of side connectors on its second side, configured for both electrical power supply to and signal communication with the second PCB; the second PCB both electrically and mechanically connected to the second side of the first PCB via a first elastomeric connector; and the second PCB electrically connected to the first PCB via its second set of side connectors and a flexible electrical connector that is electrically connected to the second set of side connectors and the first PCB.12-03-2015
20150357736INTERCONNECT CABLE WITH EDGE FINGER CONNECTOR - Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an interconnect cable including a edge finger connector, and associated configurations and methods. The edge finger connector may be disposed at a first end of the interconnect cable and may connect the interconnect cable to an edge finger included in or coupled to a package substrate. The package substrate may be included in a processor package assembly, and a processor may be mounted on the substrate. The interconnect cable may include one or more elongate conductors, with contacts directly coupled to respective conductors. A second connector may be disposed at a second end of the interconnect cable, and may couple the interconnect cable to a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) case that is configured to connect the interconnect cable to an SFP cable. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.12-10-2015

20160380381SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTABLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR - A high density electrical connector system is disclosed which may make use of first and second connector components. The first connector component has a first substrate with a first plurality of electrical feedthroughs and at least a first plurality of electrically conductive bond pads in communication with the first plurality of electrical feedthroughs. The second connector component has a second substrate with a second plurality of electrical feedthroughs and at least a second plurality of electrically conductive bond pads in communication with the second plurality of electrical feedthroughs. An electrical coupling subsystem is disposed between the first and second connector components and makes electrical contact between associated pairs of the first and second pluralities of electrically conductive bond pads. A plurality of fasteners may be used for clamping the first and second connector components in facing relationship.12-29-2016
