20100075264Redundant Ignition Control Circuit and Method - A redundant ignition control system and method for gas burning appliances is provided. The system utilizes a main processor and a supervisory processor to provide the redundant, fail safe operation of both the pilot valve and the main gas valve of the appliance. Three switching elements under the control of the two processors, as well as the use of high pass filters to block DC from the gas control valves provide redundant, fail safe operation. The use of variable duty cycle or frequency pulse width modulated signals enables use in low power applications and ensures system safety. Inclusion of a gas valve verification sequence, ignition sequence, burner monitoring sequence, and heat shutdown and standby sequences ensures safe, low power operation during normal control, and fail safe operation upon the failure of any component of the system.03-25-2010

20140272738BURNER IGNITING SYSTEM FOR GAS STOVE - A burner igniting system includes a burner disposed in a gas stove, a pilot light disposed in the gas stove for supplying a flame to the burner, an igniting and sensing device disposed in the gas stove for igniting the pilot light and for sensing a presence of flame on the pilot light, and a control device includes two or more processing devices (MCU 1-n), a high voltage circuit electrically connected the processing devices (MCU 1-n) for being actuated by the processing devices (MCU 1-n), and the processing devices (MCU 1-n) and the high voltage circuit are electrically connected to the igniting and sensing device for actuating the igniting and sensing device to selectively ignite the burner with the pilot light.09-18-2014
20150316264PILOT BURNER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING SAME - A pilot burner assembly includes a bracket, a thermo-electric device configured to be connected to the bracket, and a unitary pilot guard. The bracket includes a first plate and a second plate spaced from the first plate. Each of the first and second plates have a pilot guard aperture defined therein. The pilot guard has a first end defining a gas inlet configured to receive a gas supply line, and a second end defining a gas outlet. The pilot guard includes an elongate body and a pilot hood disposed at the second end, and is configured be inserted into the pilot guard apertures. The pilot guard further includes a first retention element configured to cooperate with a second retention element on the gas supply line to maintain a connection between the pilot guard and the gas supply line.11-05-2015
431045000 Igniter deenergized by timer, programmer or retarder 1
20150010872Hot Surface Igniter With Fuel Assist - A large-scale combustion system has a fuel line having a burner end, a burner at the burner end of the fuel line, a source of fuel flowing through the fuel line to the burner, a hot surface igniter adjacent to the fuel line, a flame holder disposed adjacent to the hot surface igniter, and a source of igniter combustion air. The hot surface igniter is activated to ignite the source of fuel, the ignited fuel leaving the burner, and the hot surface igniter is protected from a heat caused by the ignited fuel. A flame detector detects ignition of the source of fuel and in response to detection of ignition the hot surface igniter is deactivated.01-08-2015

20160377287SYSTEM FOR IGNITING AND CONTROLLING A GAS BURNING APPLIANCE - A system for controlling a gas burning appliance is disclosed. The system includes a central control unit. A pilot valve and main valve controls the flow of fuel from a fuel source to the pilot and main valve, respectively, and are configured for accepting an electrical current from a thermopile and from a power source. A spark generator generates for igniting fuel received by the pilot thereby generating a pilot flame. A flame sensor is adapted for monitoring the presence of a pilot flame. A thermopile proximate to the pilot burner is configured for generating an output electrical current for powering the pilot and main valve control devices. A relay routes electrical current between the power source and thermopile to the pilot and main valve control devices. A flame height regulating device conductively coupled with the power source is configured for adjusting a height of a main flame.12-29-2016
