20160144653 | PAPER BINDING FASTENERS - A paper binding system utilizing standard single, double or three-hole paper punches. This new system allows for a paper binding variance from 2 pages to many pages. System uses 2 members; a first member is an elongated tail with an elongated rib and round integrated head on top. Tail and rib passes through punched paper hole until head of tail bottoms out on paper. A second clamping member is then attached on the underside and mates with the tail. The second clamping member has an integrated blade that engages the rib on the tail not allowing it to go backwards. Pressing the now joined two pieces together forms a strong binding pressure on the paper. The excess tail can be easily cut off with scissors or snapped off by bending it back and forth several times. If desired the second clamping member is easily removed via a simple rod or standard paper clip for modifying the document. The rod is inserted in an oval shaped hole which is approximately at a 90 degree to the blade upon entering the hole it goes behind the blade and then travels up the ramp of the rib thereby raising the blade slightly and disengaging the blade from the rib allowing the second clamping member to be removed from the first member. The second clamping member can then be re-used when document is ready to be bound together again. | 05-26-2016 |
