20080285284 | Self-contained full light cut-off light pollution-free bulb - The full light cut-off, light pollution-free, light bulb is a complete and self-contained bulb that is designed to replace standard light bulbs in standard light fixtures turning that standard light fixture into a full cut-off, light pollution-free fixture. The light bulb assembly is built around a light bulb, such as a compact florescent light bulb or a standard incandescent light bulb. Two variations are described. The first design is to replace standard compact florescent light bulbs or incandescent light bulbs mounted in an upward facing socket such as a lamp post or upward socket carriage light fixture. The second design is to replace standard compact florescent light bulbs or incandescent light bulbs mounted in a downward facing socket such as downward socket carriage light fixture. In both designs, the basic light bulb is enclosed in a transparent cylinder. Between the cylinder and the base bulb are a series of opaque, conical louvers arranged so as to provide full cut-off of the light emitted from the bulb in the horizontal direction and above the horizontal direction. Light emission from the bulb will in fact be limited to a cone-shaped volume below the light bulb fixture assembly. The upper end-cap of the cylinder in both designs may be opaque with a mirrored interior surface to aid in reflecting the light in the downward direction. The lower end-cap surface of the cylinder in both designs is transparent to allow maximum possible light transmission in the downward direction. | 11-20-2008 |

20090122551 | System of, and Method for, Indirect Lighting - A light fixture is configured to provide indirect lighting from a light source through use of a light shield. The light shield blocks a percentage of the light emitted from the light source at a center of the light shield. The light shield decreasing blocks light emitted from the light source along a path between the center and an outer edge of the light shield. | 05-14-2009 |
20100124062 | Video Conference Lighting Fixture - A lighting fixture for use in video conferencing and general illumination includes a housing forming an interior cavity. The housing has an opening in a bottom portion thereof The lighting fixture also includes at least one light holder for holding at least one light source positioned within the interior cavity of the housing, at least one diffuser plate positioned over the opening of the housing, and a plurality of louvers adjacent to the diffuser plate over the opening of the housing. Each of the plurality of louvers is positioned at an angle such that light produced by the light source is directed to a specific area. | 05-20-2010 |
20120044694 | INDIRECT LIGHTING SYSTEM - An apparatus where an indirect lighting system is adapted to direct light to a target. The primary optics are arranged to eject a flat beam of uniform intensity light onto an assembly of fractal reflector modules that reflect the beam to the target. The primary optics comprise a light source, and a reflector of stepped facets, located on the surface of a parabolic reflector; the shape and location of each facet being calculated to provide a uniform intensity flat beam. | 02-23-2012 |
20120195046 | LAMP - A lamp comprises a base, at least one light source arranged on the base, a cover positioned on the base and covering the light source, and a structured film arranged adjacent to the light source. The structured film has at least one micro structure configured for guiding part of the light backward emitted from the light source. | 08-02-2012 |
20120268940 | TRANSFLECTIVE ARTICLES AND LIGHT ASSEMBLIES - Transflective articles comprising a first layer having a first, outer major surface having a plurality of apertures therein; and a second layer having a major transflective surface. The transflective articles are useful, for example, in light assemblies. | 10-25-2012 |
20140192534 | DISPLAY DEVICE - A display device includes: a display panel; a resin layer on the display panel and having a first protrusion having a first style on a surface thereof; a first window on the resin layer and having a second protrusion having a second style on a surface thereof; and a second window on the first window. | 07-10-2014 |

20090231853 | SURGICAL LIGHT - The invention relates to a surgical light having at least one discharge lamp which is arranged in a lamp body and which illuminates a surgical field via a reflector, wherein a mechanically adjustable diaphragm means is provided in the lamp body for changing the intensity of illumination and includes a plurality of lamellae which are pivotable about a vertical axis and which have a light impermeable material with cut-outs. | 09-17-2009 |
20090251900 | LAMP AND DEVICE FOR PREVENTING THE DISPERSION OF LIGHT IN UNDESIRED DIRETIONS - A lamp having a base housing with a member for connection to a lamp-holder, and a light source extending generally axially from the housing. The lamp includes a device connected to the housing suitable for screening the dispersion of the light radiation in undesired directions. Such device preferably comprises a hood with a generally cylindrical grid arranged coaxially to the housing and enclosing the light source. Desireably, the grid is formed from a plurality of substantially frusto-conical rings axially superimposed, joined and regularly spaced by a plurality of axial ribs. | 10-08-2009 |
20130343058 | LIGHT FLUX CONTROLLING APPARATUS - A light flux controlling member has: a light control/emission surface that controls a traveling direction of light; a concavity that allows a main beam to be incident inside; and a back surface that extends in a radial direction from an opening rim part of the concavity and that allows sub-beams to be incident inside. One of a grid convex part which arranges a plurality of strips of convex parts in a grid pattern and a grid concave part which arranges a plurality of strips of concave parts in a grid pattern is formed in the back surface of the light flux controlling member. | 12-26-2013 |
