20090219437 | MIXING OF VIDEO CONTENT - A method and apparatus for mixing first and second video content portions is described. The method may comprise overlapping at least one frame of a first content portion comprising multiple frames with at least one frame of a second content portion comprising multiple frames to produce a composite video content. At least one reference frame comprising a frame of the first or second content portion prior to the overlapping may be designated. The composite video content and the reference frame may then be transmitted, for example, to a client device. The client device may use the reference frame to at least reduce an effect of the overlapping. | 09-03-2009 |

20130113989 | VIDEO PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY DISPLAYING A PLURALITY OF VIDEO SIGNALS ON DISPLAY DEVICE - A video processing apparatus includes decoding circuit, setting circuit, processing circuit, first buffer, second buffer, and display unit. The decoding circuit generates a plurality of decoded video signals. The setting circuit selects a main decoded video signal and at least one sub-decoded video signal from the decoded video signals. The processing circuit processes main decoded video signal and sub-decoded video signal(s) to generate a processed video signal. Each of these two buffers serves as on-screen buffer for storing the processed video signal being displayed or to be displayed and serves as on-process buffer for storing the processed video signal being mixed or to be mixed, cyclically. The first and second buffers do not serve as on-screen buffer simultaneously, and the first and second buffers do not serve as on-process buffer simultaneously. The display unit cyclically displays the processed video signal read from first buffer and second buffer. | 05-09-2013 |
20130265489 | VIDEO PROCESSING CIRCUIT AND RELATED METHOD FOR MERGING VIDEO OUTPUT STREAMS WITH GRAPHICAL STREAM FOR TRANSMISSION - A video processing circuit includes a video generating unit for generating a video output stream, a graphic generating unit for providing a graphical stream, and a communication interface circuit. The communication interface circuit has a first mode provided for mixing the video output stream and the graphical stream to transmit a mixed video output stream through a channel and a second mode provided for merging the video output stream and the graphical stream to transmit a first merged signal through the channel. In the second mode, the communication interface circuit merges the video output stream and the graphical stream by increasing a working frequency of the communication interface circuit to increase bandwidths of the channel, using positions for transmitting a portion of video control signals in the video output stream to transmit the graphical stream, and compressing the video output stream. | 10-10-2013 |
20150334312 | VIDEO PROCESSING CIRCUIT AND RELATED METHOD FOR MERGING VIDEO OUTPUT STREAMS WITH DATA STREAM FOR TRANSMISSION - A video processing circuit includes a video generating unit for generating a video output stream, a data generating unit (e.g. graphic generating unit) for providing a data stream (e.g. graphical stream), and a communication interface circuit. The communication interface circuit has a mode provided for merging the video output stream and the graphical stream to transmit a first merged signal through a channel. In the mode, the communication interface circuit merges the video output stream and the data stream by increasing a working frequency of the communication interface circuit to increase bandwidths of the channel, using positions for transmitting a portion of video control signals in the video output stream to transmit the data stream, and compressing the video output stream. The communication interface circuit may have another mode provided for mixing the video output stream and the data stream to transmit a mixed video output stream through the channel. | 11-19-2015 |

20140104492 | Systems and Methods for Transmitting Video Frames - Systems and methods for transmitting video frames are described. Specifically, frame rate modification techniques such as blending and/or packing processes are used to translate high frame-rate signals into low-frame rate signals, which are transmitted over limited bandwidth transmission media to a video signal receiver. Information pertaining to the blending and/or packing processes is transferred to the video signal receiver in the form of a map that is used to reconstruct the high frame-rate signals from the low-frame rate signals. The high frame-rate signals may be used by certain types of newer equipment designed to use such signals. However, legacy equipment that cannot use the high frame-rate signals may opt to use certain embodiments described herein that are designed to be backward-compatible. When backward-compatible, the video signal receiver generates suitable low frame-rate signals as well as the high frame-rate signals, thereby accommodating both legacy as well as newer equipment. | 04-17-2014 |
