There is prepared an electromagnetic steel sheet having a recessed groove. A two-layered chip of a modifier metal foil and a stainless steel foil is so set in the groove of the electromagnetic steel sheet that the electromagnetic steel sheet and the stainless steel foil have surfaces of the same height. The modifier metal foil is melted when electric current is applied under pressure. When this pressing and current applying is continued, inner sides of the electromagnetic steel sheet and the stainless steel foil contacting the modifier metal foil are melted to form a nonmagnetic alloy layer in the region excepting the surface portions of an electromagnetic steel sheet layer and a stainless steel layer. The nonmagnetic alloy layer and the stainless steel layer do not pass a magnetic flux.09-09-2010

20100321141TRANSFORMER - A transformer includes a core unit that includes an elongated first core part extending in a longitudinal direction and having first and second segments, and an E-shaped second core part including a connecting segment that extends in the longitudinal direction, and three extension segments that extend from the connecting segment in a transverse direction. A central one of the extension segments is disposed in contact with the second segment. The second segment has a size in the transverse direction that gradually decreases along the longitudinal direction away from the first segment. The first core part is movable relative to the second core part from a tunable position to an assembled position for adjusting a position of the second segment relative to the central one of the extension segments so as to vary a size of an effective magnetic flux region defined between the first and second core parts.12-23-2010
20110057758WIRE WINDING DEVICE FOR A HIGH POWER LEVEL TRANSFORMER - Wire-holders are provided that confine a single wire over a limited arc section and that are interspersed with ferrite ingots that provide wire-ways for several wires are utilized in the winding of the coils of a transformer. A method for consistently producing windings having accurate wire placement on rotors, stators, and other electrical componentry is also provided.03-10-2011
20110254648MOVABLE TRANSFORMER EMBEDDED INTO AN OPENING OF A PCB AND A METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME - A movable transformer embedded into an opening of a PCB includes a first bobbin unit, a second bobbin unit, a third bobbin unit, a winding unit and a magnetic unit. The second bobbin unit is electrically connected to the PCB. The third bobbin unit is electrically connected to the PCB. The winding unit is disposed around the first bobbin unit, the second bobbin unit and the third bobbin unit. The magnetic unit passes through the first bobbin unit and disposed outside the first bobbin unit. In addition, one side of the first bobbin unit is slidably mated with the second bobbin unit, another side of the first bobbin unit is slidably mated with the third bobbin unit, so that the first bobbin unit is selectively moved from one position above the opening to another position in the opening.10-20-2011
