20090273267Low pressure discharge lamp - The invention relates to a mercury-free low pressure discharge lamp with a discharge vessel having an ionizable filling. The surface temperature of the discharge vessel, and thus the temperature of the ionizable filling, can be adjusted at least in some sections such that an emitting substance can produce the radiation required for the excitation of the luminescent substance. The temperature of the fluid is preferably adjusted in a temperature control circuit, using a temperature sensor, a pump and a heating device.11-05-2009
20110309733Electrical lamp having an outer bulb - An electrical lamp having an elongate inner bulb made of silica glass is provided. The electrical lamp may include a central part which is closed at two sides by fusings to which externally tubular extensions adjoin, the fusings containing foils, and the inner bulb having a longitudinal axis and an illuminant being accommodated in the inner bulb, and the inner bulb being surrounded by an outer bulb made of silica glass, wherein at the level of the end of the foils the fusings have beads which protrude radially outwards, an end region respectively of the outer bulb being connected to the bead, so heat is dissipated from the foil.12-22-2011
20130278130TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF ARC TUBE OF FLUORESCENT LAMP - A fluorescent lamp includes an arc tube comprised of light transmissive material. The arc tube can be for a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL). A discharge sustaining fill, which may include mercury and an inert gas, is sealed in the interior of the arc tube. Electrodes are disposed in the sealed interior of the arc tube. An outer envelope is disposed around and spaced apart from the arc tube. The outer envelope can take the form of a conventional incandescent light bulb, candle, globe-shape or reflector shape. The outer envelope includes an opening. The arc tube includes a hollow protrusion that extends adjacent or into the opening. This can provide the arc tube with a lower temperature near the protrusion that can approximate the temperature of the outer envelope (a cold spot). This can regulate the vapor pressure of liquid (e.g., liquid mercury) in the arc tube.10-24-2013

20130119851IRRADIATION DEVICE AND IRRADIATION METHOD - An irradiation device includes: a light source having an amalgam alloy member that is disposed on a part of the inner surface of a light source tube; and a chamber in which the light source is disposed. The chamber includes: a main chamber body; and a first gas inflow port and a first gas outflow port that are formed in the main chamber body. The first gas inflow port and the first gas outflow port are arranged so that the outer surface of the part of the light source tube where the amalgam alloy member is disposed is positioned in a flow path of a gas that flows in through the first gas inflow port and flows out through the first gas outflow port.05-16-2013
20140346943DISCHARGE LAMP - A discharge lamp includes a discharge tube, a stabilizer housing provided in the inner space that is defined by the discharge tube, the stabilizer housing containing a stabilizer therein, a cover surrounding the discharge tube; a base connected to the stabilizer housing, and a heat insulating means. The heat insulating means prevents the heat of the discharge tube from being transferred to the stabilizer.11-27-2014
