20100164316 | ROTOR MAGNET POSITIONING DEVICE - A device for positioning a planar array of magnets within a permanent magnet electrical machine of the type having a rotor and stator with an air gap there between. The device includes a body made of non-ferrous material and having a first side which is attachable to the rotor and a second side which, in an assembled machine, faces the air gap. The first side of the body has a plurality of recesses therein for receiving a corresponding plurality of magnets. The recesses are shaped and arranged to separate the magnets from each other and maintain a consistent spacing between them. When the device is attached to the rotor the magnets are held in a fixed position against the rotor. The electrical machine may be a motor or a generator. | 07-01-2010 |
20100187933 | AXIAL GAP MOTOR - There is provided an axial gap motor including a rotor rotatable around a rotation axis; and a first stator and a second stator arranged to face each other with the rotor therebetween from both sides of the rotor in the rotation axis direction of the rotor, wherein the rotor includes a plurality of main permanent magnets having magnetizing directions in the rotation axis direction of the rotor and arranged in a peripheral direction of the rotor; a partition member arranged between the main permanent magnets which are adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction of the rotor, the partition member including a nonmagnetic material; and auxiliary permanent magnets having a magnetizing direction that is orthogonal both to the rotation axis direction of the rotor and a radial direction of the rotor, and arranged on both sides of the partition member in the rotation axis direction of the rotor. | 07-29-2010 |

20110248593 | Permanent Magnet Rotor for Axial Airgap Motor - The present invention is a permanent magnet rotor for axial airgap motor apparatus comprised of a rotor frame having a plurality of polarized magnets secured inside retaining bands placed into apertures in the rotor frame. The magnets are arranged so that the polarities of the magnets alternate. | 10-13-2011 |

20160006305 | EASILY MOUNTABLE MOTOR ROTOR - An easily mountable motor rotor has multiple magnet holders formed around a periphery of a rotor housing and spaced apart from each other by a gap for a magnet set including multiple magnets to be axially inserted therein. A cover is mounted on a top of the rotor housing to securely position the magnet set. Each of the cover and a bottom of the rotor housing has an opening communicating with a chamber inside the rotor housing and axially penetrated through by a rotor shaft. When the rotor housing is mounted in a stator and the rotor housing drives the rotor shaft to rotate, the magnet holders serve to securely hold the magnets during rotation of the rotor housing. The fixed gap between each adjacent two of the magnet holders prevents the center of gravity from being shifted. Accordingly, the motor rotor can be easily assembled in the stator in a highly efficient manner. | 01-07-2016 |
