20130140832PIN LATCH WITH DETECTION DEVICE AND MOVABLE CATCH-PIN AND INTERMEDIATE POSITION WITH AUTOMATIC RETURN MECHANISM - A pin latch includes a guide block, a handle having a trigger, and a shear pin housed slidably within the guide block and connected to the handle. The shear pin includes a catch-pin engageable by the trigger, and is slidable between an engageable position and a disengageable position when the handle is moved from a closed position to an open position. Alternately, the pin latch includes a bracket connected to the shear pin and includes a catch-pin, and the handle is moveable to an intermediate position, such that a trigger is disengaged from the catch-pin and the shear pin engages a stop pin. A guide block spring acts on the stop pin to retain releasably the handle in its intermediate position. The guide block includes a finger and the shear pin includes a groove sized and shaped to receive the finger when the pin latch is in an unlatchable position.06-06-2013

20140117680Sliding glass door safety latch - A closure securing mechanism implementing a latching without further operator interaction mechanism for sliding doors when completely slid closed. The closure securing mechanism implements the automatic latching function through industry standard compatible devices or modifications to existing sliding door latching hardware. When the closure securing mechanism is installed on a sliding door the latching mechanism will be positively secured anytime the door is fully slid closed. The mechanism can be opened from inside and outside with standard pull handles with sliding locks. The sliding lock portion has a spring of specific tension, specific body and total length in tension so whenever the door is slid closed and the keeper latch is angled to engage and hold a latching arm inhibiting opening of the door until the tension of the spring is overcome by an operator sliding the sliding lock against the spring in tension.05-01-2014

The foot bolt is dimensioned to be received in a recess or a strike in a floor. The door locking system also includes a housing. The housing has upper and lower ends, with the upper and lower ends having aligned through-openings for slidably receiving the foot bolt. The housing also has opposing faces having through-openings for receiving respective attachment screws. Additionally, the system includes a biasing spring. The biasing spring is placed around a portion of the foot bolt, with the biasing spring being held in compression within the housing. The system is configured so that the foot bolt may be depressed downward through the aligned through-openings in the upper and lower ends of the housing for locking a door, but then released by depressing a detent.09-18-2014

20110260474LATCH DEVICE - A latch device includes a housing; a sliding body including a striking portion and a cam groove, and disposed relative to the housing so as to be capable of advancing and retracting; a spring member urging the sliding body in a direction protruding from the housing; an engaging body rotatably supported relative to the sliding body, and including a claw portion on an end thereof; and a pin member moving in such a way as to trace the cam groove. The engaging body can move between a locking position wherein the claw portion is protruded to a striking portion side, and locks the engaged/disengaged member, and a locking release position wherein the claw portion is retracted from the striking portion side. When the sliding body is pressed and the sliding body moves against an urging force of the spring member, the sliding body is retained in a position after a movement thereof through the cam groove and the pin member, and the engaging body moves from the locking release position to the locking position. The engaging body includes protruding portions protruding in the same direction as a protruding direction of the claw portion. A pivotal supporting portion, rotatably supporting the engaging body to the sliding body, is provided in the protruding portions. In a state in which the engaging body is positioned in the locking position, the striking portion of the sliding body is positioned between the claw portion and the protruding portions.10-27-2011

20090008948ELECTRONIC APPARATUS - An electronic apparatus includes a main body, a detachable object, a sliding latch element, and an elastic element. The main body has an accommodating space. The detachable object is suitable for sliding in a direction to be disposed in the accommodating space. The sliding latch element is suitable for sliding between a first position and a second position. The elastic element connects the sliding latch element and the main body. When the sliding latch element is at the second position, a first locking part of the detachable object does not lock a second locking part of the sliding latch element, a first limit part of the detachable object blocks a second limit part of the sliding latch element, and a third limit part of the sliding latch element restricts a protrusion of the detachable object such that a portion of the detachable object is exposed outside the accommodating space.01-08-2009
20110101706LATCH - The invention resides in a latch comprising a lock including a locking pin mounted within a lock body, the locking pin movable between an extended position and a retracted position, the locking pin biased toward the retracted position; and a catch including a release mechanism, the release mechanism for holding the locking pin in the extended position; wherein a magnetic force between the locking pin and the release mechanism holds the locking pin in the extended position which causes the locking pin to engaged the catch.05-05-2011
20120299316LATCH MECHANISM FOR RELEASABLY SECURING COVERS OF PORTABLE DEVICES USED IN RUGGED ENVIRONMENTS - A latch mechanism for releasably securing a cover to a housing of a portable device. The latch mechanism includes a plurality of resilient members for retaining the latch mechanism in a locked configuration. The latch mechanism comprising a latch enclosure of the housing for positioning adjacent to the cover and having a plurality of interior surfaces and a latch body positioned in the latch enclosure and configured for reciprocal movement within the latch enclosure between a closed position and an open position. The latch mechanism uses a first resilient member of the plurality of resilient members positioned between the latch body and a first surface of the plurality of interior surfaces for biasing the latch body in a first direction between the open position and the closed position. The latch mechanism also uses a second resilient member of the plurality of resilient members for biasing at least a portion of the latch body in a second direction towards a second surface of the plurality of interior surfaces, such that the first direction and the second direction are laterally relative to one another. The second resilient member biases engagement of a first lock portion with a second lock portion.11-29-2012

The chassis has a pair of supporting boards and a guiding board located on one side of the pair of supporting boards. The guiding board is formed with a guiding slot. Each supporting board is formed with a receiving hole. The bolt has a main shaft, a lateral-guiding post and a restricting portion disposed on a periphery of the main shaft. The main shaft is slidably passed through the receiving holes of the supporting boards. The lateral-guiding post is slidably disposed in the guiding slot for limiting a stroke distance thereof. The elastic element is disposed between the restricting portion and one of the supporting boards, and constantly pushes one end of the main shaft to protrude outside the other supporting boards to lock a locking piece.06-26-2014

20100052335RELEASE HANDLE WITH INTEGRATED INERTIA LOCKING MECHANISM - An integrated inertia locking mechanism may be incorporated with a door handle assembly and is particularly beneficial in acceleration events, such as a multiple axis crash, by counteracting the forces of inertia caused by such crash. In an exemplary aspect, the integrated inertia locking mechanism will prevent the door latch mechanism, which releases the door, from releasing and the door opening during a multiple axis crash. After the crash, or when the crash force is removed, the integrated inertia locking mechanism will allow the latch mechanism to function normally, thereby permitting the door to be opened and the occupants to exit from the vehicle.03-04-2010

20130056995Sliding Pin Lock Mechanism for Overhead Door - A door lock mechanism for an overhead door employs a sliding pin or rod that passes into the path of the rollers in the track, and obstructs the roller from movement in the direction to open the door. A spring in the door lock frame biases the sliding pin towards a proximal open position. The sliding pin has an arm that extends radially from its proximal end, and which engages retaining structure at the proximal end of the door lock frame. The arm is rotated out of engagement with the retaining structure to release the pin so it may slide proximally to an unlocked position. The pin may slide into a receiver housing mounted on a door panel.03-07-2013
