20090115095 | Semiconductor nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer, vinyl polymer mixture including same, and process of preparing the same - Provided is a semiconductor nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer including vinyl polymer particles; and semi-conductor nanoparticles, uniformly dispersed in the vinyl polymer particles, having an average particle size of 1 to 150 nm, wherein the semiconductor nanoparticles are encapsulated by the vinyl polymer particles. Provided is also a mixture of the semiconductor nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer with a commercially available vinyl polymer. In the nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer and the mixture, since the semiconductor nanoparticles are encapsulated by the vinyl polymer particles, they are highly dispersed even in vinyl polymer products. Therefore; an aggregation phenomenon of semi-conductor nanoparticles that may be caused by physical mixing of semiconductor nanoparticles and a commercially available vinyl polymer can be prevented, thereby remarkably increasing a reduction in dioxin emission during incineration of the wastes of vinyl polymer products. Furthermore, the semiconductor nanoparticles of the semiconductor nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer can remarkably increase photodegradation efficiency due to the photocatalytic activity of the nanoparticles. In addition, the semiconductor nanoparticles of the semiconductor nanoparticle-encapsulating vinyl polymer can serve as fillers, thereby enhancing mechanical properties such as tensile strength and modulus of elasticity without lowering impact strength. In particular, in a flexible poly vinylchloride compound manufactured using semiconductor nanoparticles-encapsulating polyvinylchloride and a commercially available phthalate-based low-molecular weight liquid phase plasticizer, a plasticizer migration phenomenon can be prevented by adsorptivity of highly dispersed semiconductor nanoparticles. | 05-07-2009 |
20090230587 | CROSS-LINKED THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE/POLYUREA AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME - A process for forming a cross-linked thermoplastic polymer is disclosed herein. The cross-linked thermoplastic polymer is formed by heating a first mixture containing a thermoplastic urethane base material, a monomeric diisocyanate comprising between 1 to 10% of the total weight of the first mixture, and a second mixture of a first diamine and a second diamine comprising between 1 to 10% of the total weight of a total reaction product. The heated first mixture, which is flowable, is injected into at least one injection molding device, with the second mixture injected at predetermined intervals to create a homogeneous reaction product. | 09-17-2009 |
20090283931 | Molded Bodies Containing Polyacetals and Method for Producing Said Molded Bodies - The present invention relates to moldings encompassing polyacetals, where the molding has a microcellular structure. The moldings have excellent mechanical properties. Furthermore, the moldings have very little tendency toward stress cracking. Processes for production of inventive moldings are also disclosed. | 11-19-2009 |
20140103572 | CASING MOLDING METHOD - A casing molding method includes following steps: providing a substrate; mixing the substrate, first hardener, second hardener, and epoxy resin in a mold to perform a first curing reaction to form a semi-manufactured product, wherein the first hardener is coated by micro capsules; and heating the semi-manufactured product to make the micro capsules ruptured and vaporized, and the first hardener contacts with the semi-manufactured product to perform a second curing reaction to form a casing. | 04-17-2014 |
