20090045542 | PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HOLLOW BODIES OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL - The invention concerns a process for the production of hollow bodies of thermoplastic material. In the process according to the invention preforms in web or band form of plasticized material are shaped in a multi-part tool forming a mold cavity comprising two outer molds and at least one central mold which perform an opening and closing movement relative to each other. The central mold is provided with at least one component holder which can be moved of and into the tool plane defined by the central mold. In a first step the component holder is fitted with at least one insert portion, then the insert portion is placed by means of the component holder against the inside wall of an outer mold. In a further step introduction and shaping of the preforms within the tool is effected in a two-stage procedure, wherein firstly the preforms are respectively applied against a contour forming a part of the mold cavity by means of increased pressure and/or reduced pressure and shaped and then the intermediate products forming respective parts of the hollow body are joined together to form a finished product. | 02-19-2009 |
20100025883 | Method for manufacturing a hose - A method of manufacturing a cured, non-reinforced hose exhibiting one or more desirable configuration features molded onto the outer surface of the hose; and a cured, non-reinforced hose exhibiting such desirable configuration features molded on the outer surface thereof, manufactured in accordance with such method are described. The method comprises: providing a raw, non-reinforced polymeric tubular structure having an outer surface, an inner surface, an orifice, and a cylindrical channel extending longitudinally throughout the raw tubular structure defining the inner surface of the raw polymeric tubular structure; providing a mold apparatus having a cavity configuration corresponding to the shape and size of a desired cured, non-reinforced hose; inserting the raw polymeric tubular structure into the cavity configuration of the mold apparatus; inserting a first plug means having an aperture therethrough into a first end of the raw polymeric tubular structure; inserting a second plug means having an aperture therethrough into a second end of the raw polymeric tubular structure; providing a source of steam under elevated pressure to cure the raw polymeric tubular structure, wherein the first plug means having an aperture therethrough serves as an inlet for the steam and the second plug having an aperture therethrough serves as an outlet for the steam; and recovering a cured, non-reinforced hose having an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the outer surface exhibits one or more desirable characteristic features molded onto the outer surface of the cured, non-reinforced hose. | 02-04-2010 |
20100044908 | PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MIXTURE OF TWO-LIQUID MIXING TYPE CURABLE RESIN AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW-FIBER MEMBRANE FILTER ELEMENT - An object of the present invention is to provide a process for producing a mixture of a two-liquid mixing type curable resin, which process is hard to generate curing unevenness, can be carried out with low energy consumption, and is suited for mixing even with a disposable static mixer. | 02-25-2010 |
20120299211 | MULTICOMPONENT FIBERS COMPRISING A DISSOLVABLE STARCH COMPONENT, PROCESSES THEREFOR, AND FIBERS THEREFROM - A melt spinnable fiber is provided that comprises a first component comprising a thermoplastic polymer, and a second component comprising thermoplastic starch where the second component is not encompassed by another component or components or if encompassed by another component or components then the second component encompasses a hollow core. A particular use of such a fiber is for removal of the second component in the presence of a solvent in order to produce fibers with desired properties. An agent may be present in the second component for controlling the rate of removal of the second component thereby allowing for physical manipulation of the fiber prior to complete removal of the component. The invention is also directed to nonwoven webs and disposable articles comprising the fibers. | 11-29-2012 |

20150042007 | MOULD EQUIPMENT FOR PIPELINE SECTION COATING AND METHODS FOR COATING OF PIPELINE SECTIONS WITH MOULDS - A mold for coating a pipeline section with molten coating material from an injection molding machine, wherein the mold comprises a shell of impervious material reinforced by an exoskeleton of non-distensible material. An assembly for supporting a mold comprising a plurality of mutually separable shell bodies for coating a pipeline section, wherein the assembly comprises motorized opening and closing of the shell bodies in a straight line. An assembly for supporting a bent pipeline section wherein the assembly comprises a base and a pair of arms extending from the base, wherein each arm comprises a respective clamping collar for clamping a bent pipe section between the arms. A vehicle for induction heating a bent pipeline section, wherein the vehicle comprises: a helical induction coil; and wheels arranged to guide movement of both ends of the induction coil through a tubular inside face of a bent pipeline section. | 02-12-2015 |
20150137413 | Multicomponent Fibers Comprising A Disolvable Starch Component, Processes Thereof, And Fibers Therefrom - A melt spinnable fiber is provided that comprises a first component comprising a thermoplastic polymer, and a second component comprising thermoplastic starch where the second component is not encompassed by another component or components or if encompassed by another component or components then the second component encompasses a hollow core. | 05-21-2015 |
20150306343 | MULTI-LUMEN DEVICE WITH NON COLLAPSABLE MINOR LUMEN - A method of producing a multi-lumen elongate body for a medical device. Unlike known methods requiring a solid core of material inserted into each lumen to maintain patency of the lumens during manufacture, the present method obviates the need for a solid core within one or more minor lumens, which saves cost and production complexity. One or more material overlay and mesh overlay steps may be used to produce the multi-lumen elongate body, but only the main lumen may include a solid core therein during all manufacturing steps. The one or more minor lumens may each be defined by a lumen tube having a sufficient stiffness to withstand external pressure during all manufacturing steps without the need for a solid core within. | 10-29-2015 |
