20090014565SHREDDER AUTO FEED SYSTEM - The present invention is generally related to an apparatus having cutter elements for destroying articles such as paper sheets and a mechanism for advancing at least a top sheet from a stack of paper in a tray into the cutter elements for shredding. In one embodiment, the apparatus uses a rotatable feed roller to feed paper atop the stack to the cutter elements. The feed roller moves in an alternating manner between a lowered and raised position to engage and disengage the stack when advancing the paper therethrough. Alternatively, a rotatable cam may be used. In an embodiment, the apparatus uses a rotatable drum or rotatable belt with an internal vacuum to lift paper from the stack and feed into the shredder mechanism.01-15-2009

20100320301INTAKE LIMITING DEVICE FOR DOCUMENT SHREDDER - A shredder intake limiting device having a pair of parallel bars, wherein the ends of the bars are supported by a pair of side supports. Each side support comprises a floor surface flanked by two upwardly-diverging sidewall surfaces. The angle of the sidewall surfaces is such that the bars will be prevented from separating beyond a desired limit when sheet material is being inserted downward into the shredder. When sheet material is being pulled upward during removal after a jam, the diverging angles of the sidewall surfaces will allow the bars to travel upward and the horizontal separation distance to increase, thereby allowing the jammed material to be easily removed.12-23-2010
20110114772FEED DEVICE WITH TWO ROTARY VALVES WHICH ARE VARIABLE INDEPENDENTLY OF EACH OTHER - A feed device for a high-pressure roller press for the high-pressure comminution of material to be ground, the feed device feeding the material to be ground in a controlled manner into the roller nip between two rollers of the high-pressure roller press. The feed device has at least two rotary valves, the position of which is variable independently of each other. In a refinement of the invention, the feed device also has a shaft which is variable in height above the roller nip. By means of the rotary valves which are variable independently of each other and by means of the height-variable shaft, the feeding behavior of the feed device can be varied during the starting of the high-pressure roller press and during the operation of the high-pressure roller press in order thereby to prevent the high-pressure roller press from vibrating and to ensure optimum operation of the high-pressure roller press.05-19-2011

The anvil unit also includes an anvil main body having a first end positioned adjacent the power in-feed and a second end positioned adjacent the rotational reducing component. The anvil unit further includes first and second spaced-apart shear edges positioned adjacent to the second end of the anvil main body. The first and second shear edges cooperate with the rotational reducing component to provide consecutive shearing actions as reducing elements of the rotational reducing component move initially past the first shear edge and then subsequently past the second shear edge.12-26-2013
20140014753SHREDDER WITH FEEDING GAP ADJUSTING DEVICE - A shredder includes an adjusting device for adjusting a feeding gap, so that the width of the feeding gap does not exceed a maximum shredding thickness value. The adjusting device is located at a side of the feeding channel. A roller is located at another side of the feeding channel. The feeding gap is formed between the adjusting device and the roller. After the papers in the feeding channel are transferred through the feeding gap, the papers are cut into strips or fine particles by a cutting blade assembly. By rotating a fixing element of the adjusting device, the width of the feeding gap is changed to comply with the maximum shredding thickness value. Consequently, it is not necessary to change the relative positions between the first lateral plate and the second lateral plate, which collaboratively define the feeding channel.01-16-2014
20140131495METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GRINDING STRAND-LIKE FIBROUS MATERIAL - A method and a device for grinding strand-like fibrous material, wherein the strand-like fibrous material is fed towards the cutting edge of a cutting mechanism and wherein a moveable striking mechanism for grinding the fibrous material cooperates with the cutting mechanism. Associated with the cutting mechanism is a moveable clamping mechanism, by means of which the fibrous material is clamped in an oscillating manner. To produce optimally uniform fibrous shreds, as defined by the position of the cutting edge, the fibrous material is guided through an oscillating clamping gap formed between the clamping mechanism and the cutting mechanism, wherein the clamping mechanism is guided in a back and forth clamping movement relative to the cutting mechanism. For this purpose, the clamping gap is formed by arranging the clamping mechanism and the cutting mechanism opposite one another in a clamping plane.05-15-2014

The collection bin is movable in a pivotal manner between a first position in which it permits operation of the cutting mechanism and collects the shreds, and a second position in which it stops operation of the cutting mechanism. The bin is configured to move from the first position to the second position in response to the weight of shreds collected in the bin and the force acting on the collected shreds by fresh shreds exiting the cutting mechanism exceeding a predetermined threshold value (FIG. 01-01-2009
20090236455ROLLER PRESS, IN PARTICULAR FOR INTERPARTICLE CRUSHING - A roller press which is used, in particular, for material bed comminution and into the material feed hopper of which both coarse-grained material, such as, for example, fresh material, and fine-grained material, such as, for example, recirculated grits from a downstream sifter and/or, for example, fly ash, are introduced, wherein the stability of the material bed or grinding bed and therefore a high grinding efficiency are ensured despite the considerably different grain size and grain distribution in the two material flows to be drawn into the roller nip. 20080210794File shredder with feed unit - A file shredder has an integrated unit for automatic feed of sheets of paper or similar materials. An upper device part contains a cutting mechanism, at least one drive, and a control device. A feed shaft leads from the top of the upper device part, and a secondary channel leads from a chamber-like intake opening disposed on the side, to the cutting mechanism. A hinged lid pivotable about an axis is assigned to the chamber-like intake opening, and the upper device part sits on a lower device part. A barrier is disposed near the front, lower edge of the face surface of the hinged lid, and along this edge. The barrier rests on the top sheet of the stack of sheets laid into the chamber-like intake opening, and removes any objects still adhering to this sheet, particularly staples, when the sheet is drawn in toward the cutting mechanism.09-04-2008
20090152386Method of Controlling a Brush Chipper - An improved brush cutter having an upper feed control member with stop, forward, neutral, and reverse positions also has a lower feed stop member with selectable sensitivity. Another aspect of the invention is to predict the feed roller shutoff point according to the rate of engine deceleration. According to another aspect, when the feed rollers stop feeding material into the cutters, to overcome drag on the cutters, a controller stops the feed rollers and then reverses them for a short time, and then reverses the rollers again if the problem is still present. To prevent jamming, a pressure switch senses when oil in a hydraulic motor system for rotating the feed rollers is too high and the controller momentarily reverses the feed rollers and then causes them to go forward, a cycle which can occur several times until the feed rollers are no longer stalled. By another aspect of the invention, the controller senses characteristics of the brush cutter and chooses an operating system based on the characteristics sensed. The controller can also sense if the brush chipper has not been used for a predetermined period of time and automatically reduce the idle speed of the engine until the brush chipper is used again, and then automatically return the engine to a normal idle speed before the feed rollers will pull brush into the brush chipper.06-18-2009
