20130037289 | ELECTRIC HAMMER - A electric hammer includes a generally pistol shaped housing with a grip portion, a barrel portion and an electric motor and battery pack disposed in the grip portion. The motor includes an output shaft that extends upwardly into the barrel portion, a cylindrical drum fixed to the shaft with a generally flat upper surface and peripheral edge. The drum in the shape of a right circular cylinder includes a cavity or short passageway extending from the upper surface into the interior thereof. A longitudinally extending rod with a short transverse portion extending into the cavity so that the rotation of the drum provides reciprocal movement of the rod causing a hammer head to repeatedly strike a nail head. An important feature of the hammer resides in a tubular member with a tapered bore running through the barrel portion of the electric hammer allowing for limited lateral movement of the elongated rod as it repeatedly strikes the head of a nail with a solid metal hammer head. | 02-14-2013 |
20130333909 | MACHINE TOOL - A machine tool is disclosed. A magneto-pneumatic striking mechanism has a primary actuator arranged around an axis of movement and includes a first magnetic coil and a second magnetic coil. The striking mechanism has, on the axis of movement within the magnetic coils, a striker and a die. Furthermore, the striking mechanism has an air spring acting on the striker in a direction of impact. The air spring may be entirely or partially within the first magnetic coil. The air spring has a ventilation opening that is open to the environment if the striker is less than 10% of its stroke away from the die, and otherwise the ventilation opening is closed. An exchange of air with the environment is therefore only possible when the striker is near the die or is near the impact position. | 12-19-2013 |

The handle has a handle body and pair of grips that extend in a direction crossing an axial direction of a tool accessory, designed to be held by user's right and left hands. The handle body has a first part to which the grips are connected in a fixed manner and a second part that is connected to the tool body in a fixed manner. The first part is supported against the tool body via an elastic member and is allowed to move with respect to the tool body and the second part while being biased by an elastic force of the elastic member. A current supply cable, supplying current to a motor, is installed on the second part. | 04-02-2015 |
