20090120504Liquid plugs - A rotatable microfluidic device that comprises a hydrophilic microchannel structure in which there is a) an upstream microcavity I with a liquid outlet I, b) a microconduit I connected to liquid outlet I, and c) a capillary valve I associated with microconduit I. The inlet end of the microconduit is closer to the spin axis than the outlet end of the microconduit. The difference in radial distance between the inlet end and the outlet end of microconduit I is typically ≧5%, such as ≧10% or ≧100% or ≧500%, of the difference in radial distance between the uppermost part of the upstream microcavity and liquid outlet I.05-14-2009
20100096022Safety shutoff valve - It is disclosed a shut-off valve which acts automatically and has a fully mechanical performance with respect to the loosing of the tower-shape part balance under the effect of the special acceleration which is arisen from the quakes waves or serious vibrations, while such vibrations are mainly resulted from collision or effusion. A static tower has been applied for the main core of this part of the valve which loses balance state under the effect of collision and bounces to the neighboring part, which results in release of the catch and blockage of the gas passing channel.04-22-2010
20110094600SERIAL SIPHON VALVES FOR FLUIDIC OR MICROFLUIDIC DEVICES - Methods and devices using a co-radial arrangement of serial siphon structures composed of siphon valves each separated by a capillary valve to save radial space in a fluidic system. Such serial siphon valves allow to sequentially distribute liquids in a fluidic system upon application of successive centripetal accelerations and decelerations applied to a rotary platform.04-28-2011

20120174988MECHANICAL EARTHQUAKE VALVE WITH ORIFICE SHUT OFF - A mechanical earthquake valve which enables the supply of the fluid (gas) passing through itself to be automatically stopped and restarted owing to the sensor that detects the seismic movement resulting from an earthquake and which comprises the combined use of said sensor mechanism and at least one valve.07-12-2012
20130233408CABIN PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE OUTFLOW VALVES AND METHOD OF CALIBRATING THE OUTFLOW VALVE POSITION FEEDBACK DURING FLIGHT - A method of calibrating an outflow valve on an aircraft may include determining if the aircraft has reached a predetermined cruise condition. The outflow valve may be moved until a closed position is reached, if the aircraft has reached the predetermined cruise condition. An actual position feedback value of the outflow valve may be determined while the aircraft is in the predetermined cruise condition. An offset calibration factor may be determined from the actual position feedback value of the outflow valve relative to a theoretical value.09-12-2013
20140216569GAS BEAKER - A gas breaker includes a case with a chamber defined therein. The case includes an inlet path and an outlet path which is located corresponding to the inlet path. A board is pivotably located in the chamber and has a sealing member on the first end thereof for sealing the outlet path, and an extension extending from the second end of the board. The extension is engaged with a hook on a hook plate pivotably located in the chamber. When earthquake happens, the hook plate swings due to the earthquake so as to separate the hook and the extension. The sealing member on the first end of the board seals the outlet path to cut off the gas so that the gas cannot enter the gas line of the house.08-07-2014

20080251131METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING WATER SYSTEM LEAKS - A methods and system detecting water system leaks provides detecting of water leakage having very low flows. Very low flow leaks are detected by detecting drops in a building water system pressure when the water supply source is disabled. The water system is disabled by an electrically controllable valve, which may be turned off in response to a motion detector that detects that no human activity is present in the building. The rate of pressure drop is used to determine the magnitude of the leak, and multiple thresholds can be used to detect slow leaks versus more serious leaks. A humidity detector may also be incorporated in the system to detect abnormal humidity conditions and shut the electrically controllable valve in response. Appliance current consumption can be detected and used to override motion-sensor based shut-off of the valve, so that water-consuming appliances can continue to operate.10-16-2008
20090038686Water tap - The present invention provides a water tap including a main body; a decorative cap for covering the main body while exposing the cavity therefrom; a water control assembly; a fastening means for fastening the water control assembly and the decorative cap to the main body; and a rotation-driving member adapted to connect with the water control assembly, thereby providing for a durable cap assembly structure that is easy to manufacture and process at low cost and is easily assembled, thus overcoming the drawbacks of prior techniques.02-12-2009
20090223568Automated Balloon Inflator System - An automated system for inflating balloons. A balloon inflator comprises an electronic control system that activates the pressurized gas source to inflate a balloon. The balloons are fed through the inflator on a belt and, at the appropriate time as governed by the electronic control system, pressurized gas is emitted into a balloon. Once the balloon bursts or is removed from the inflator, the belt is advanced and that the next balloon is inflated. In the preferred embodiment, the system comprises multiple inflators and the electronic control system is operated remotely using radio frequency signals.09-10-2009

137041000 Float controlled 2
20120042960CONTROL APPARATUS OF VACUUM VALVE - A control device is provided with a switching valve mechanism and first and second actuators. The switching valve mechanism is provided with a valve element for switching which is located within a casing. The valve element can linearly move between an open position at which first and second pressure change chambers of the casing are communicated with each other and a closed position at which the communication is interrupted. The valve element is held at the open position and the closed position by a first holding mechanism (toggle spring). When a float ascends to a first water level, the first actuator moves the valve element from the closed position to the open position. When the degree of vacuum within a pressure detection chamber becomes a second degree of vacuum or less, the second actuator moves the valve element from the open position to the closed position.02-23-2012
20120055563FOUNTAIN AUTOFILL VALVE KIT - Provided is an easy-to-use and easy-to assemble automatic refill kit for maintaining a minimum water level within a fountain. The fountain refill kit is configured to connect with a conventional water source, such as a water hose, irrigation riser, or the like, to deliver water to the fountain's trough. The refill kit includes a float which moves as the water level within the fountain rises/falls. The float is connected to a valve arm which opens or closes the valve depending on the level of the water.03-08-2012
