20110139092REHEAT BOILER - Provided is a reheat boiler in which the imbalance in temperature distribution of the temperature of the combustion gas at the outlet of a reheat furnace is reduced by changing the gas flow pattern in the reheat burner. A reheat boiler includes a main boiler configured such that main combustion gas generated in combustion in a burner flows from a furnace through a superheater and evaporator tubes, a reheat furnace that is disposed on the downstream of the evaporator tubes and produces reheat combustion gas by combustion in a reheat burner, and a reheater disposed above the reheat furnace. A closing plate, serving as a drift preventing portion, is provided at a reheat furnace outlet that connects the reheat furnace and the reheater to form a flow path for the combustion gas and the reheat combustion gas so as to narrow the cross-sectional area of the flow path for the combustion gas.06-16-2011

20090000571Liquid Heater and Steam Boiler - This invention consists of a demountable heat recovery device, which can turn any tube into an efficient heat recovery, for applications in fire tube liquid heaters and steam boilers; the present heat recovery device is comprised by a tube, which may be cylindrical or square, inside which a gas diffuser is placed having a transversal cylindrical, pentagonal, hexagonal, octagonal or square shape, and the most important is that the cavity formed between the fire tube and the gas diffuser shall be narrow, of at least 0.001 m, and that the combustion gases shall flow at high speed, of at least 6 m/sec through said narrow cavity; since only in this way a great amount of heat is transferred to the inner wall of the fire tube; according to this invention, high thermal efficiency heaters and boilers can be built and with a less number of tubes, wherein a mechanical blower has to be installed for them to operate.01-01-2009

20090151655HEAT TUBE ASSEMBLY - A heat tube assembly includes a tank mounting flange, a first heat tube and a second heat tube. The U configuration first heat tube has a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end are mounted in spaced relation to the mounting flange. A mounting for an open flame burner is provided at the first end of the first heat tube. A first exhaust is provided at the second end of the first heat tube. The U configuration second heat tube has a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end are mounted in spaced relation to the mounting flange. A coupling is provided for connecting a conduit from an engine exhaust to the first end of the second heat tube. A second exhaust is provided at the second end of the second heat tube.06-18-2009
20110132280Carbo-free fire tube boiler - The carbon-free fire tube boiler is a boiler for heating water by combustion of hydrocarbon fuels with oxygen. The boiler includes a housing defining first and second heat transfer stages. At least one oxygen transport reactor is received within the first heat transfer stage. The oxygen transport reactor includes an outer wall and an inner cylindrical ion transport membrane. The membrane receives pressurized air and separates gaseous oxygen therefrom, transporting the oxygen into an annular region between the membrane and the outer wall. The gaseous hydrocarbon fuel is delivered into the annular region for combustion, producing gaseous carbon dioxide and water vapor. A water reservoir is defined within the first and second stages, with the at least one oxygen transport reactor and at least one transfer tube passing therethrough. The carbon dioxide and the water vapor are delivered through the at least one transfer tube for heating water contained therein.06-09-2011
20110146595WASTE-HEAT BOILER FOR PARTICAL-LADEN GASES - A boiler for cooling waste gases has side walls including a pair of opposite side walls defining a passage through which the waste gases flow, cooling-tube sections in the passage against the walls, and at least one tubular tie rod having outer ends anchored in the opposite side walls and extending transversely through the passage, A coolant is pumped through the cooling-tube sections and through the tubular tie rod. The tie rod extends straight through the passage and is braced at its ends under tension against the opposite side walls.06-23-2011

20090126653FIREBOX BOILER WITH REDUCED TEMPERATURE VARIATION - A boiler firebox comprises arcuate front and rear end water walls connected respectively to front and rear ends of right and left side water walls. The end walls curve outward from respective ends of one side water wall and then inward to the respective ends of the other side water wall. The end and side water walls enclose a combustion chamber, and are connected at ends thereof such that water can circulate through the end and side water walls. Water input ports can be provided in water walls on opposite sides or ends of the firebox such that the flow of circulating water can be divided with about half entering the water wall on one side or end of the boiler and the other half entering on an opposite side or end, thereby reducing temperature variations in water near the input ports compared to boilers with a single input port.05-21-2009

20150096507ADVANCED ULTRA SUPERCRITICAL STEAM GENERATOR - A supercritical steam generator includes a downdraft furnace enclosure, a hopper tunnel, and a convection pass enclosure, with the hopper tunnel joining the downdraft furnace enclosure and convection pass enclosure together. Flue gas passes down through the downdraft furnace enclosure through the hopper tunnel and up through the convection pass enclosure. This structure permits the outlet steam terminals, which provide access to the resultant supercritical steam and/or reheat steam, to be located at a base of the steam generator rather than at the top of the steam generator as with conventional boilers. This reduces the length of the steam leads from the steam generator to a steam turbine that produces electricity using the supercritical steam.04-09-2015
