An egg collector extends from the outside surface of the cage tower. A cover is positioned over the egg collector. A perch is positioned adjacent to the egg collector so that a gap is formed between the perch and the cover. The gap is sized to prevent eggs from rolling between the perch and the cover. | 05-07-2015 |
20150122193 | AVIARY CAGE WITH ADJUSTABLE BALCONY - The present embodiments provide an aviary that includes a cage tower and an egg collector. A cover is positioned over the egg collector and includes an inner end and an outer end. A cover adjustment member is coupled to the cover to reversibly raise one of the inner end and the outer end to a higher position than the other of the inner end and the outer end to facilitate movement of a deposit disposed on the cover toward the lower positioned end. The present embodiments also provide a method of operating an adjustable balcony in an aviary, which aviary includes a cage tower, an egg collector, a cover including an inner end and an outer end, and a deposit. The method includes disposing the cage tower in the aviary, disposing the egg collector on the cage tower, disposing the cover above the egg collector, and disposing the deposit on the cover. The method further comprises raising, during a first period of time, one of the inner end and the outer end to a position higher than the other of the inner end and the outer end to facilitate movement of the deposit toward the lower positioned end, and lowering, during a second period of time, the one of the inner end and the outer end to a position lower than the other of the inner end and the outer end to facilitate movement of the deposit away from the higher positioned end. | 05-07-2015 |

20090084323 | CAGE FOR BREEDING HENS AND COCKS - In existing cages for breeding hens and cocks, hens habitually gather at the four corners of the cage and lay eggs there. Experiences tell that feces produced by concentrated hens make it difficult to obtain good quality hatching eggs and many eggs are damaged and that hens who cannot get a relaxing position at any of the four corners miss chances for laying an egg. These two factors make it difficult to produce good quality hatching eggs. The present invention proposes a novel cage that is sanitary and efficient and can make hens who tend to gather at the four corners scatter. | 04-02-2009 |

20090159012 | EGG ROLL OUT MECHANISM FOR EGG COLLECTOR - Among the components of a vertical feeding device for egg collection, particularly egg placement means has a problem of holding an egg for an unnecessarily long time period. In such a case, the egg held drops at a position outside an expected place to sometimes contaminate the egg placement means again, further contributing the egg placement means to hold an unnecessary number of eggs and putting the device in unsanitary conditions by scattered eggs. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The invention relates to an egg collection conveyor and a vertical feeding device for egg collection, and particularly relates to an a egg roll out mechanism for an egg collector. The egg collection conveyor collects eggs produced at each cage of a multiple-stage chicken cage and conveys the eggs to horizontally one end side of the conveyor. The vertical feeding device for egg collection is provided on one end side of the multiple-stage chicken cage, conveys the eggs in the vertical direction, and discharges the eggs, collected by the egg collection conveyor, at a previously set position. The vertical feeding device has egg placement means on which eggs are placed and that discharges the eggs at a desired position. The egg placement means has a space section directly under the position where an egg is placed and the space can be in contact with the bottom surface of the egg. The vertical feeding device is connected to endless conveyor for conveying the collected eggs to a desired position. A projection for egg roll out is provided on the downstream side of the egg placement means and the distance of the projection relative to the egg placement means is changed corresponding to a change in the conveyance direction of the endless conveyor. In the egg roll out mechanism, when the relative distance is minimum, the egg roll out mechanism causes an end of the projection to reach the space section to help rolling out of an egg. | 06-25-2009 |
20120255499 | EGG COLLECTOR - A roll out and conveyance unit of an egg collector includes endless conveyors which have orbit in the vertical direction on at least portions and are rotationally driven, rotary support portions which support rotation of the endless conveyors, a plurality of egg receiving portions which are attached to the endless conveyors at an equal interval and receive and hold eggs, and a roll out machinery portion which includes an initiation side roll out support portion and a termination side roll out support portion, and discharge plates which are provided so as to project from a termination side rotational shaft of the termination side roll out support portion, make contact with the egg which has been received by the egg receiving portion and has not been rolled out in the vicinity of the termination position to press the egg toward the cumulative egg collection conveyor. | 10-11-2012 |

20090078213 | Egg Code Management Method and Egg Search Code Management System - An egg search code, that can be used for accurately searching history information of an egg using a number of digits printable on the egg, is assigned to the egg, and the history information of the egg can be accurately identified based on the egg search code assigned to the egg. An unused egg search code out of the totality of egg search codes is determined and will be used as the egg search code to be assigned to the egg. The determined egg search code is assigned to all eggs having identical history information. The egg search code assigned to the egg is related to the egg history code and an egg collection date code, and is stored. The egg history code related to the egg collection date code and the egg search code is searched for, in compliance with a provision request, submitted from a consumer terminal, for history information, the provision request containing the egg collection date code and/or the egg search code. The history information identified by the searched egg history code is transmitted to the consumer terminal through a communication network. | 03-26-2009 |

20100058993 | RENEWABLY BUOYANT, SELF-PROTECTIVE FLOATING HABITAT - A floating habitat designed to be renewably buoyant, self-sustaining and optionally specialized for waterfowl nesting. The first embodiment comprises one or more flotation units, a source of compressed air, and a means for connecting the source of compressed air to the flotation units. Each flotation unit comprises an individual supply hose, an inflatable bladder, a relief valve, a diffusing manifold, bottom mesh, top mesh, and buoyant growth medium. An alternative embodiment comprises a self-compensating buoyancy system. In the waterfowl nesting embodiment, the floating habitat includes one or more waterfowl nesting structures and construction material selected to optimize the nesting habitat. The floating habitat can be comprised of scrap pieces or layers of polyester mesh material.
