20080229882 | Process for Purifying Sulphuric Acids - The present invention relates to a process for purifying sulphuric acids, in particular metal-containing sulphuric acids, characterized in that monodisperse ion exchangers having chelating functional groups are used. | 09-25-2008 |
20090013829 | Process for the recovery of value metals from base metal sulfide ores - A process for leaching a value metal from a base metal sulfide ore, comprising the step of leaching the ore with a lixiviant comprising a chloride, an oxidant and hydrochloric acid is disclosed. The leaching is controlled, by use of low concentrations of hydrochloric acid and a redox potential, to effect formation of hydrogen sulfide from the base metal sulfide ore. The hydrogen sulfide is stripped from the leach solution, thereby reducing the amount of sulfate generated in the leach to very low levels. The leaching may also be conducted to limit the co-dissolution of platinum group metals and gold with the base value metals. The leach forms a value metal-rich leachate and a solids residue. The solids residue may be subsequently leached to recover the platinum group metals and gold. The value metal-rich leachate can be oxidized and neutralized to recover the value base metals. In an embodiment, the chloride is magnesium chloride and lixiviant solution is regenerated | 01-15-2009 |
20090031861 | Apparatus And Process For Recovery Of Values From A Value Bearing Material - A process and apparatus for continuously stripping or recovering values from a value bearing material, typically a slurry or solution thereof. The resin and value bearing material are contacted in a counter-current manner in a contact zone to load the resin with values from the value bearing material. The resin is fluidised by the value bearing material in the contact zone. The loaded resin is passed through a first washing zone to displace excess value bearing material. The loaded resin then passes through a stripping zone, typically an acid or alkali, to strip the values from the resin and form an eluate, which is treated further to recover the values. The stripped resin is washed in a second washing zone, to displace excess stripping agent, and returned to the contact zone. | 02-05-2009 |
20090071295 | METHOD TO IMPROVE RECOVERY OF GOLD FROM DOUBLE REFRACTORY GOLD ORES - The present invention is directed to a precious metal recovery process in which carbonaceous material, such as preg robbing carbon, is floated after sulfide oxidation to separate the carbonaceous material from the precious metal. | 03-19-2009 |
20090293679 | EXTRACTION PROCESS FOR METALS LIKE GOLD AND PLATINUM INCLUDING FINE GRINDING, PULPING AND OXYGENATING - This invention relates to a process for obtaining metal values, typically base metals, platinum or gold from a feed material. In a first step of the process of the invention, feed material containing metal values is ground to a particle size d | 12-03-2009 |
20110107876 | METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FE AND NI CONTAINING MATERIAL AND COBALT CONTAINING MATERIAL USING RECYCLING RESIDUE OF SPENT CATALYST AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING RAW MATERIAL FOR STAINLESS USING THE FE AND NI CONTAINING MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FE-NI ALLOY - Methods of manufacturing Fe and Ni-containing material and Co-containing material from petrochemical desulfurization residue containing Fe and Ni or Fe and Co, manufacturing raw material for stainless steel using the Fe and Ni-containing material, and manufacturing ferro-nickel using the Fe and Ni-containing material. The method of manufacturing Ni and Fe-containing material includes acid-treating Ni and Fe-containing residue to remove alkali therefrom; drying the residue and heat treating the residue in a temperature range from 600° C. (degree Centigrade) to 1300° C. (degree Centigrade) in a reducing atmosphere to reduce Ni and Fe oxides in the residue into metal state; leaching a resultant product obtained by the reduction using acid to selectively dissolve Ni and Fe; filtering the acid leached product to obtain a solution containing Ni and Fe ions; neutralizing the solution containing Ni and Fe ions using alkali to produce Fe,Ni hydroxide; and filtering and drying a resultant product obtained by the neutralization. | 05-12-2011 |
20120067172 | METAL RECOVERY METHOD USING PROTONEMATA OF MOSS PLANTS - Disclosed is a method for recovery of a metal using plants. The method for recovery of a metal involves bringing a protonema of a moss plant belonging to the family Funariaceae into contact with a metal-containing solution in which a metal(s) having an ionization tendency lower than that of silver is dissolved. | 03-22-2012 |
