A biasing mechanism is operatively connected to the locking member and biases the locking member to its locked position. A dogging member is moveably connected to the lock housing such that the dogging member can move from an undogged to a dogged position.05-07-2009
20090145179MORTISE LOCK - A mortise lock includes a case. A locking slide forms a bore to receive a spring and a steel ball to allow the locking slide to be slidable with respect to the lock case to abut against and/or disengage from a locking latch. The mortise lock is operated by turning an inside knob to drive a deadbolt and a latch lever and the locking slide is moved inward to engage a lever hub assembly thereby ensuring a locked condition. The mortise lock cannot be unlocked by operating an outside lever When an inside lever is depressed, the lever hub assembly is driven to cause the rocker arm to push away a hooking lever and a knob spindle assembly, thereby retracting the deadbolt and the latch bolt and simultaneously moving the locking slide outward to show an unlocked condition, whereby the mortise lock can be unlocked by operating the outside lever.06-11-2009
20090211317MORTISE DEADBOLT LOCK CAM ENGAGEMENT DEVICE - A stop arrangement for precluding disengagement of a mortise deadbolt lock element by a cam which is employed to extend and retract the element. The arrangement employs first and second stop arms angularly spaced from a cam, which are rotatable, along with the cam, and which engage the lock element to preclude over-rotation.08-27-2009
20090241612LOCKING DEVICE - The locking device contains an axle, a bolt, a positioning plate, and a cylinder. The axle is connected to a thumb-turn knob and, from a circumference of the axle, a lever is extended perpendicularly. The bolt has a vertical trough in a rear section. An end of the lever is embedded in the trough. The positioning plate has an elongated opening inside which the axle is embedded. The cylinder is positioned adjacent to and above the rear section of the bolt. The cylinder has a key hole in the center and an activation bar extended from a circumference of the cylinder. When the thumb-turn knob or a key in the key hole is turned, the positioning plate is moved towards an opposite direction. In turn, the lever of the axle pushes or pulls the bolt in the same directions as the key or the knob is turned.10-01-2009
20090266120Adjustable Driving Mechanism for Panic Door Lock - A door lock includes a bracket fixed to a door. A linking rod is slideably mounted to the bracket and includes a slot. A draw member includes a first end pivotably connected to the bracket and a second end operably connected to a retractor. The draw member further includes a guide slot. A pin slideably extends through the slot and the guide slot such that the movement of the linking rod causes pivotal movement of the draw member, which in turn, urges the retractor to move a latch bolt from an extended position to a retracted position. A follower is coupled to the pin to move therewith. An adjusting member is in threading connection with the follower and rotatable to move the follower and the pin relative to the linking rod to adjust a position of the second end of the draw member relative to the retractor.10-29-2009
20090282877Mortise Lock - A mortice lock is disclosed which has a lock casing which provides a first point of entrapment and a second point of entrapment, a latch bolt which can move between a latching position and an unlatching position, a handle for moving the latch bolt between the latching position and the un-latching position, a key cylinder, an operating assembly and a locking member. The operating assembly can move between a first position in which a deflectable portion of the operating assembly engages with the first point of entrapment and a second position in which the deflectable portion engages with the second point of entrapment. Only the key cylinder can move the operating assembly between the first position and the second position. The locking member (which is not a shoot bolt or part thereof) can move between a locking position in which a portion of the locking member engages with the latch bolt to prevent the latch bolt from moving into the un-latching position, and an unlocking position in which the latch bolt can move into the un-latching position. The locking member is operatively associated with the operating assembly such that moving the operating assembly into the first position moves the locking member into the unlocking position and moving the operating assembly into the second position moves the locking member into the locking position.11-19-2009
20100154490High Security Lock for Door - A high security locking system can be used in a conventional pivot door adapted for use with a latch and deadbolt lock combination. Second, a spindle-mounted lock-handing selector—which can be removed from one side of the lockset body while the lockset body is installed in the mortise of a door—is provided to set the handing of the clutching assembly. Third, an escapement mechanism is provided for a reciprocating-slide-based clutch-actuator assembly, enabling the slides to move into a position biasing a locker-carrying lever toward a hub-coupling position, even if the outer and spindle hubs are misaligned. Fourth, a guardbolt-actuated blocking assembly for a lockset is provided to block movement of the stop works or clutch works when the door is closed and the outside door handle is disabled.10-21-2010
20110226024DIFFERENTIAL LINKAGE ATTACHMENT OF DOOR HANDLES - A differential linkage attachment of handles includes a first handle ring and a second handle ring placed on right and left sides, respectively, and set in a rectangular dead bolt shifting block independently. An end of the second handle ring is encircled with a first slanted latch bolt shifting plate, and an end of the first handle ring is encircled with a second slanted latch bolt shifting plate. All of the five parts turn around on a center axis. When the second handle ring turns forward or clockwise, the rectangular dead bolt shifting block or the first slanted latch bolt shifting plate is linked to turn around on the center axis independently, and when the first handle ring turns clockwise, the rectangular dead bolt shifting block or the second slanted latch bolt shifting plate is linked to turn around on the center axis independently. When the second handle ring or the first handle ring turns backward or counter-clockwise, only the rectangular dead bolt shifting block is linked, so that the rectangular dead bolt extends out to lock the door. Front and rear handles operate the rectangular dead bolt and the slanted latch bolt independently.09-22-2011
20110314878COMBINATION DOOR LATCH AND DEADBOLT ASSEMBLY - A combination door latch and deadbolt assembly that has first and second configurations for use with a door having a deadbolt aperture and a latchbolt aperture spaced by either a first vertical distance or a second vertical distance. 20130213099Double-Lock Deadbolt - A double-lock deadbolt lock that provides improved security for a person inside a structure having a door with the deadbolt lock thereon. The deadbolt lock disables the lock mechanism to prevent the lock from being unlocked by picking tools or any key, whether the real key or not, as to maintain the lock in its locked position until unlocked by the person inside the structure. The faceplate on the inside of the door has an aperture defining a lever cavity that is sized and configured to at least partially receive the thumb lever therein. The sides of the thumb lever will abut against the edges of the aperture and prevent a key or any other device from unlocking the lock mechanism. When outside the lever cavity, the double-lock deadbolt lock functions the same as a prior art deadbolt lock to allow use of a key to unlock the lock.08-22-2013
