20140090279Dragline Bucket Rigging System - An assembly and method for using a flexible tensile member as part of the rigging for a dragline bucket. The tensile member includes a stranded core surrounded by one or more armoring layers or devices. The stranded core produces excellent strength in tension. The armor layer(s) provides a lower but still sufficient strength in compression. The compression strength is sufficient to eliminate plastic deformation of the core strands when the tensile member is bent around or dragged across an edge. The armor layer(s) also protects against battering, cutting, abrading, compression, and shearing forces. This resistance greatly reduces the likelihood of heavy items—such as the yoke, dump block, and spreader bar—damaging the tensile member when the bucket assembly is laid on the ground.04-03-2014
20150292180Rigging Pin Assembly and Components and Method of Installation Thereof - A pin assembly with a guide extending from one end of the pin eases installation of the pin into the openings of components to be pivotally secured together. The lead can provide an engagement point for pulling the pin assembly into the opening of a component. The lead passes into the openings of components to be joined together aligns the component openings with an increasing diameter of the lead as the lead passes into and through apertures in the components to urge them into alignment. The pin assembly reduces the need for an operator to align the components manually.10-15-2015
20160186407Dragline Bucket Rigging System - An assembly and method for using a flexible tensile member as part of the rigging for a dragline bucket. The tensile member includes a stranded core surrounded by a separate armor layer. The armor layer assumes the form of a hollow cylinder having a substantial wall thickness. A significant gap is provided between the outward-facing surface of the stranded core and the inward-facing surface of the armor layer. This gap minimizes wear between the two elements during the normal bending and flexing of the tensile member. A first anchor is attached to a first end of the stranded core and a second anchor is attached to a second end of the stranded core. These anchors serve to transmit tension carried by the stranded core. A first end of the armor layer is also attached to the first anchor and a second end of the armor layer is attached to the second anchor.06-30-2016
