20090282707Snow melting and removal machine - A snow melting and removal machine includes a cart carrier movable by hand, the cart carrier including a support frame, front and back wheels and a handle that a user holds to control the direction and speed of the cart carrier. A heating system is mounted upon the cart carrier. The heating system includes a torch assembly comprising torches, wherein the torch assembly is coupled to a gas tank feeding gas through a controller to the torch assembly, wherein flames emitted from the torches directly contact ice and snow thereby melting same. A distribution assembly is provided for treatment of melted snow and ice to prevent the accumulation of ice on the cleared surfaces.11-19-2009
20130283647AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE SKID RECOVERY SYSTEM - Disclosed is a vehicle skid recovery system, which is able to accelerate skid recovery, when an automotive vehicle begins to skid as a result of ice accumulation on the road surface. The embodiments control operation of ice removers (e.g., blades or heaters), which are mounted within the wheel wells forward of the wheel, based on information received from the vehicle's outside temperature sensor and anti-lock braking system (ABS). When the temperature sensor indicates that the outside temperature is below a predetermined temperature (e.g., below freezing) and when the anti-lock braking system is activated as a result of detected skid, a controller activates the ice remover in one or more of the wheel wells and, thereby cause the ice remover to remove ice from the road surface forward of the corresponding wheel. Clearing the ice allows the vehicle's tires to gain traction on the road surface and, thereby stops the skid.10-31-2013
20150075037ROAD DEICER AND DEICING SYSTEM - The present disclosure provides a road deicer, comprising a magnetron connected to a power supply device through a power transformer, an antenna chamber connected to said magnetron through a waveguide tube, and a microwave emitter arranged inside said antenna chamber, wherein at least one slot is formed on an emitting end of the antenna chamber facing the road. The deicer of the present disclosure generates microwave energy through a magnetron, transmits the microwave energy through a waveguide tube, and then radiates the microwave energy through a microwave emitter and slots, thereby melting the ice through microwave heating. The road deicer of the present disclosure has higher deicing efficiency, and it won't damage the road, nor pollute the environment. The present disclosure also provides a road deicing system which has high deicing efficiency and can avoid damaging the road and polluting the environment.03-19-2015

20100313451SNOW REMOVAL VEHICLE - A snow removal vehicle is described and it has an enclosed snow melting chamber provided with a plurality of high pressure steam jets which are connected to one or more steam generators. The enclosed snow melting chamber has a water collecting reservoir in a lower portion thereof below a bottom wall of the snow melting chamber. The bottom wall has passages to channel water from the snow melting chamber to the water collecting reservoir. The vehicle body has a front entry opening communicating with the snow melting chamber and an auger screw is mounted in the front entry opening to eject snow inside a forward end of the snow melting chamber. Snow propelling wheels are secured along at least a front end portion of the snow melting chamber to propel snow ejected from the auger along the snow melting chamber for contact by the high pressure steam to melt the snow. An outlet evacuating valve is provided to evacuate water collected in the water collecting reservoir. The vehicle may also be equipped with a hopper shute for use in a stationary mode to melt snow dumped in the shute.12-16-2010
20130219756SNOW MELTER INCLUDING ANTI FREEZING SNOW THROWER FROM HOT AIR SPRAY - A snow melter for spraying hot air and preventing a snow thrower from being frozen. The snow melter includes: a snowblower; a transfer pipe which includes a snow thrower and a hot air receiving chamber, wherein the snow thrower is formed in the form of a stove pipe and is connected to the snowblower, and wherein the hot air receiving chamber is located outside the snow thrower and receives hot air introduced from the outside; a melting tank which includes a receiver and a melter, wherein the receiver receives the snow transferred through the snow thrower, and wherein the melter is connected to the receiver and melts the snow accumulated in the receiver by using high temperature hot air; and an hot air induction unit that collects the hot air generated by the melter and transfers the high temperature hot air to the transfer pipe.08-29-2013
20140305010Snow Removal Vehicle - A snow removal vehicle is provided as a means of collecting, melting, and transporting in order to facilitate snow removal operations during winter months. The snow removal vehicle is able to remove and dispose of snow from a plurality of environments. The snow removal vehicle accomplishes this through the user of a snow collection means mounted to the front section of an existing vehicle. The snow collection means channels removed snow through a snow conveyance means which transports the collected snow to a water tank positioned within an insulated enclosure. A high pressure nozzle sprays the collected snow while in the snow conveyance means to melt it before it reaches the water tank. The water tank contains the collected snow as water, but additional serves as reservoir for the high pressure nozzle.10-16-2014
20160053452ICE AND SNOW REMOVAL SYSTEM AND APPARATUS - An apparatus and method for snow and ice removal from a roadway or other horizontal civil engineering structure. The apparatus may include a conventional plow, a chipper to break apart ice, a nozzle to project a hot liquid to melt snow and ice, a heater to further melt snow and ice, and a vacuum to suction the melted snow and ice slurry for containment in a holding tank. The system is preferably mounted for carriage by a motor vehicle.02-25-2016

20150315758SNOW REMOVAL APPARATUS - A snow removal apparatus is presented having a snow collection system that includes a housing having an auger and an impeller. The snow collection system feeds collected snow to a main duct which feeds the collected snow to the hollow interior of a tank. The tank includes at least one baffle therein and a heating system which rapidly converts the frozen snow into liquid and steam. The steam generated within the tank is vented through an exhaust opening into the atmosphere. By converting snow to steam the snow removal apparatus presented increases the speed and ease of snow removal and elevates many of the disadvantages of conventional snow removal such as snow transportation and storage.11-05-2015
