20110120680APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR THE SEPARATION OF PROCESS CONDENSATE IN STEAM REFORMING - An apparatus is provided for drying a gas by gradually releasing and condensing the moisture in various chambers of a column, different pressures and different temperatures thus being present in the chambers of the column. The gas to be dried is first fed into the bottom chamber, where the largest amount of the water contained in the gas is condensed, and the gas is then discharged from the bottom chamber via a nozzle. Subsequently the gas is cooled and fed into at least one more chamber located above the first chamber, where further moisture is condensed before the resulting condensate is fed via a pipe—preferably shaped like a siphon—into the bottom reservoir to prevent the gas from flowing from the chamber below into the chamber above. A process which enables a gas to be dried is also described.05-26-2011
20120261102Thermosyphon Heat Recovery - A thermosyphonic heat recovery unit for thermosyphonic heat transfer of heat from a hotter first fluid to a cooler second fluid comprising a heat exchanger including a first fluid conduit and a second fluid conduit, optimized means for connecting fluids to the two conduits to optimize heat transfer and fluid flow, a pressurized cold fluid input and hot fluid output, whereby the second fluid thermosyphonically flows through said second conduit as the first fluid flows through said first conduit. Said system having an optimized heat exchanger tube-on tube spirally wound, with wind direction to take advantage of the Coriolus force effect, for optimized refrigerant and other fluid turbulence and therefore optimized heat transfer, and optimum location of said heat exchanger and sizes of connecting tubes to minimize refrigerant friction related pressure loss, and to optimize heat transfer, refrigerant flow and thermosyphonic second fluid flow through said heat exchanger.10-18-2012
20120006515DIRECTIONAL THERMAL SIPHON TYPE HEAT COLUMN - A directional thermal siphon type heat column comprises: a column body which is a sealed hollow cavity formed by a lid and a base and contains a liquid; and at least one partition element, being a hood plate fixed into the column body and extended obliquely towards the base and having a first channel formed on a side of the partition element opposite to the base and a second channel formed on one side of the partition element opposite to the lid, so as to avoid an opposite flushing occurred while the liquid inside the heat column is having a liquid/vapor phase change and prevent affecting the heat dissipation and circulation operation efficiency.01-12-2012

20080271878HEAT EXCHANGER AND METHOD FOR USE IN PRECISION COOLING SYSTEMS - An improved precision cooling system for high heat density applications comprises a heat exchanger having more fluid outlet conduits than fluid inlet conduits to optimize the pressure drop across the heat exchanger at a given fluid flow rate. The heat exchanger may be of microchannel or tube fin construction, and the cooling system may utilize single phase or multi-phase pumped or compressed fluids.11-06-2008
20130340984TWO-PHASE DISTRIBUTOR - A heat exchanger is described comprising a distributor having an outer housing and including a plurality of substantially parallel plates disposed within the housing and configured to partition an input two-phase flow into a series of primarily single-phase layers. A heat exchanger is described comprising a distributor having an outer housing including a plurality of substantially parallel channels disposed therein, each channel configured to uniformly and independently convey a portion of a homogenous input two-phase flow from an input of the distributor to an output of the distributor.12-26-2013

20130056186Heat exchanger produced from laminar elements - The present invention provides a heat exchanging device formable into a three dimensional configuration. The heat exchanger device may be of the heat sink type, a dual fluid type, or virtually any other as may be desired. The heat exchanger device comprises a main body which is formable into a three dimensional shape and has a plurality of individual subunit elements adapted to form a plurality of stacked heat exchanging units. The individual subunits have surface configurations which are adapted to allow fluid flow.03-07-2013
20140216698MODULAR COMPOSITE INTERCOOLER - A modular heat exchanger assembly comprising: a plurality of interlocking housings each having a heat-exchanging element, a first and second side each having a mating connector and a first end and a second end, wherein the interlocking housings interlock to each other by the second side having a mating connector interlocking with the first side having a mating connector to provide a heat exchanger core, the first end has a plurality of first end mating connector openings and the second end has a plurality of second end mating connector openings; there may be at least one first-type end cap, at least one second-type end cap and/or at least one third-type end cap for connection to either one of the first end mating connector openings or one of the second end mating connector openings and there is at least one access opening.08-07-2014
