|DISPOSABLE PULL-ON DIAPER - A disposable pull-on diaper that keeps in close contact with a wearer's crotch region includes a lower torso cover and an absorbent chassis. The absorbent chassis has a front end portion overlapping a front waist region of the lower torso cover and a front end portion of the front end portion is joined to an elastic region in the lower torso cover. A front end adjoining portion of the front end portion is not joined to the elastic region. An area in the absorbent chassis being adjacent the front end adjoining portion on the side of the crotch region is joined to an inelastic region defined on the side closer to the crotch region than to the elastic region. The absorbent body contained in the absorbent chassis extends at least from the crotch region to the front end adjoining portion. |SEPARATING DEVICE AND SEPARATING METHOD OF MATERIAL OF ABSORBENT ARTICLE - A separating device separates liquid absorbent fibers from a material including the liquid absorbent fibers of an absorbent article and impurities. The separating device includes: a case; an insertion port for inserting the material into the case on an airflow; a rotation member in the case for agitating and opening the material; and a discharge port for discharging the liquid absorbent fibers from inside the case on an airflow. The rotation member has a revolving axis with an axial direction along a predetermined direction from the insertion port to the discharge port, and a shaft member rotating around a rotating axis that has been set with an axial direction along the predetermined direction, while revolving around the revolving axis. The shaft member has protruding sections protruding outward and intersecting with an axial direction of the shaft member.
|DISPOSABLE DIAPER - In a disposable diaper, a leg stretching unit stretchable in a longitudinal direction is disposed at an inside of a widthwise direction than a pair of leg opening units. An area between a backside leg opening unit and a straight line passing through a center in the widthwise direction and parallel to the longitudinal direction is larger than an area between a foreside leg opening unit and a straight line passing through a center of the longitudinal direction of the leg opening unit and extending in the longitudinal direction. A buttocks part stretching unit running across a crotch region and the back waistline region and stretchable in the longitudinal direction is disposed at an outside of the widthwise direction than the leg stretching unit. The absorbent panel includes a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and a liquid absorbent core lying between the liquid-permeable topsheet and the liquid-impermeable backsheet. The absorbent core is arranged in a limited area extending from a zone of the intermediate region defined adjacent to a slit for formation of an opening into which the pet animal's tail is inserted into the ventral region and has a first end lying in the ventral region and a second end lying in the intermediate region. A dimension of the ventral region in the transverse direction gradually narrows from the side of the second end toward the first end.
|ABSORBENT ARTICLE - An individually packaged absorbent article has a pair of flaps for securing the absorbent article to clothing of a wearer. The absorbent article is folded multiple times along multiple folding axes such that the pair of flaps is folded over a liquid-permeable top sheet and the top sheet faces inward. The top sheet has a blood lubricating agent containing region, which contains a predetermined blood lubricating agent, in an area which overlaps with the pair of flaps in the thickness direction of the absorbent article. The elastic layer is formed with first depressions overlapping the joints and extending in a transverse direction and first protrusions. Interior space if the first protrusions is filled with constituent fibers of the elastic layer. The inelastic layer is formed with second depressions overlapping the joints and extending in a longitudinal direction and second protrusions. Along the second depressions, the elastic layer and the inelastic layer come in contact with each other at the joints and, along the second protrusions, the inelastic layer is spaced from the elastic layer to define clearance gaps in these layers.
|DISPOSABLE DIAPER - A disposable diaper includes a chassis, front and rear waist regions, and a crotch region between the front and rear waist regions and a liquid-absorbent structure extending at least in the crotch region. The chassis includes a pair of first leg elastics, and a pair of second leg elastics. The first leg elastics are arranged so as to be rectilinear in the longitudinal direction. |PRODUCTION PROCESS OF A NONWOVEN FABRIC SHEET - A sheet of nonwoven fabric which has surface irregularities, the shape of the surface irregularities being less apt to be changed by external pressure, etc. The sheet has a machine, cross and thickness directions which are perpendicular to one another. The upper surface has a plurality of protrusions continuously extending, in parallel, in the cross direction and further has a plurality of recesses that are located between the adjacent protrusions and extend in the cross direction. The sheet includes first and second fibrous layers located on the upper-surface side and the lower-surface side, respectively. The first fibrous layer comprises heat-fusible fibers, and the second fibrous layer comprises coil-shaped three-dimensional crimp fibers that are oriented mainly in the machine direction and form a network by entanglement thereof without having been fused at the sites where the crimp fibers cross one another.

A colored element is provided on the side of the top sheet that does not contact the skin, is visible through the top sheet, and is colored to a color other than white. The fibrous web runs in the machine direction above the working surface. The ultrasonic processing apparatus includes a second mechanical element adapted to move in a direction diagonally intersecting the machine direction. The working surface of the first mechanical element cooperates with the second mechanical element to subject the fibrous web to ultrasonic processing. One of an ultrasonic horn and an anvil is used as the first mechanical element and a remainder of the ultrasonic horn and the anvil is used as the second mechanical element.
|INCONTINENCE LINER - An incontinence liner includes a liquid permeable skin contact side sheet, a liquid impermeable non-skin contact side sheet, and an absorptive body arranged between the skin contact side sheet and non-skin contact side sheet. The absorptive body includes a front region, a rear region, and an intermediate region between the front region and the rear region. The liner further has a pair of wings for fastening the liner to clothing, which are adjoining the intermediate region and are bent and superposed over the intermediate region when worn. The absorptive body includes a hygroscopic material. The basis weight of the hygroscopic material in the intermediate region is greater than the basis weight of the hygroscopic material in the front region and the basis weight of the hygroscopic material in the rear region.
|LINER FOR INCONTINENCE - A liner for incontinence includes a skin contact side sheet, a non-skin contact side sheet, and an absorbent body arranged between these sheets and including an absorbent material. The absorbent material includes 30 to 70 mass % of SAP. The liner includes a main body and wings in an intermediate region of the main body. An SAP basis weight in the intermediate region is larger than in front and rear regions of the main body. The main body includes a front compressed region which is positioned between the intermediate region and the front region immediately in front of a urinating position (UP) of a wearer when worn, side compressed regions which extend from the intermediate region to the front region and rear region, respectively, and a rear compressed region which extends in the rear region in substantially the width direction. At the compressed regions, the absorbent body is continuous.
|NONWOVEN FABRIC, METHOD FOR PRODUCING IT, AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE - A nonwoven fabric that minimizes the condition of rewet-back in which fluid absorbed into an absorbent body exudes out to the front side, as well as a method for producing it. The nonwoven fabric has a mutually perpendicular machine direction (MD), cross-machine direction (CD) and thickness direction, and has in the thickness direction a front side and a back side on the side opposite it, having on the front side heights and recesses formed so as to extend in an alternating fashion parallel to each other in the MD direction, forming repeating corrugations in the CD direction, and on the back side a back side section formed across the entire side, the heights being composed of height tips located at the tips of the heights and neck sections connecting the height tips with the back side section, the cross-sectional widths of the neck sections being narrower than the height tips in a cross-section of the heights in the CD direction, and having spaces between the recesses formed by the two neck sections supporting each of the adjacent height tips, and the back side section.
|BODILY FLUID ABSORBENT ARTICLE - A bodily fluid absorbent article adapted to absorb bodily fluid over a wide range thereof. An absorbent structure in the bodily fluid absorbent article includes an upper absorbent component and a lower absorbent component. The absorbent structure further includes one of a dispersing surface constituting the upper absorbent component and kept in contact with the lower absorbent component and a dispersing surface constituting the lower absorbent component and kept in contact with the upper absorbent component. Such dispersing surface exhibits a dispersion velocity for bodily fluid higher than those exhibited by the absorbent sections defined immediately above and under this dispersing surface.
|NON-WOVEN SHEET, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE - A nonwoven sheet for use in absorbent articles such as disposable diapers which is capable of reducing the range of surface diffusion of, and reducing re-adhesion to the skin of, highly viscous fluid excretion. The nonwoven sheet has mutually perpendicular longitudinal, transverse and thickness directions, and has in the aforementioned thickness direction a front surface and a back surface opposite thereof. Ridges and grooves are formed alternately so as to extend in parallel in the aforementioned longitudinal direction and so as to form repeated undulations in the aforementioned transverse direction. The nonwoven sheet has a bottom surface which, when the aforementioned nonwoven sheet is placed on a horizontal surface with the back surface (opposite of the front surface in contact with the skin of the wearer) down, is the surface that contacts the aforementioned horizontal surface. On the back surface of the aforementioned grooves are formed in the aforementioned longitudinal direction alternately areas where the height from the bottom surface is relatively high and parts corresponding to the bottom surface. Openings are formed at least in the areas where the height from the bottom surface is relatively high, and a space is provided below said openings.
|FLUID ABSORBENT STRUCTURE FOR FOODSTUFFS - A fluid absorbent structure adapted to absorb fluids oozing from foodstuffs on its contacting surface with the foodstuffs even when the fluid absorbent structure is in a slanted position against the container bottom. A drip sheet includes an upper sheet, a lower sheet and an absorbent sheet interleaved between these upper and lower sheets. The upper sheet includes a perforated region and non-perforated region. The non-perforated region is formed with a display element which is visually recognized from an upper surface of the upper sheet. The upper sheet is formed with grooves which are depressed from the upper surface of the upper sheet toward a lower surface facing the absorbent sheet and at least partially overlaps with the perforations. The grooves include a first segment extending along a longitudinal imaginary center line, and second and third segment intersecting the first segment. The lower sheet is formed with a plurality of perforations which are breathable and liquid-permeable.
|METHOD OF EASY PRODUCTION OF NONWOVEN FABRIC HAVING AT LEAST ONE PROJECTION AND AT LEAST ONE RECESS, AND METHOD OF EASY PROCESSING OF NONWOVEN FABRIC - It is an object of the invention to provide a method of easy production of a nonwoven fabric having at least one projection and at least one recess and to a method of easy processing of a nonwoven fabric.
|INCONTINENCE LINER - An incontinence liner is provided with a liquid permeable skin contact side sheet, a liquid impermeable non-skin contact side sheet, and an absorptive body arranged between the skin contact side sheet and non-skin contact side sheet and including an absorptive material. The absorptive material includes 30 to 70 mass % of a high absorption polymer. The absorptive body includes an absorbing part positioned at a urinating position of a wearer when worn, a diffusing part extending around the absorbing part up to a peripheral edge of the absorptive body, and diffusion-suppressing parts scattered inside the diffusing part. An average absorptive material density of the diffusing part is higher than the absorbing part and the diffusion-suppressing parts. The absorbing part projects toward the skin contact side sheet more than the other parts of the absorptive body, while the diffusion-suppressing parts project toward the skin contact side sheet more than the diffusing part.
|ABSORBENT ARTICLE - To demonstrate an effect of whitening easily-darkening wearer's groin portion, etc. An absorbent article according to the present invention comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet; a liquid impermeable back sheet; and an absorber disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, wherein in both-side edges on a skin contacting surface side of the top sheet and along a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, application regions to which a phosphoric ester type vitamin is applied are arranged intermittently.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - A disposable wearing article adapted to prevent indicators from being transferred to a liquid-absorbent structure and to make the indicators develop the color reaction quickly in response to a discharge of body exudates. A disposable diaper has a topsheet, a backsheet and a liquid-absorbent structure interposed between these top- and backsheets. A surface of a first backsheet facing the liquid-absorbent structure is formed with indicators. The indicators contain a hot-melt polymer, an indicator agent adapted to develop a color reaction and a plasticizing oil. The liquid-absorbent structure has a liquid-absorbent core, a liquid-diffusive wrapping sheet adapted to wrap the core. A hydrophilic bottom sheet is interposed between a bottom surface of the core and a bottom surface region of the wrapping sheet. A dimension in the transverse direction of the bottom sheet is larger than a dimension of a region in which the indicators are formed and smaller than a dimension in the transverse direction of the core.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - A diaper includes front and rear waist members and a crotch member. The front and rear waist members are respectively formed with first narrowly-spaced elastic zones, widely-spaced elastic zones and second narrowly-spaced elastic zones adjacent one to another. Front and rear ends of the crotch member are bonded to respective sides of the front and rear waist members so that the crotch member's front and rear ends may positionally correspond to the second narrowly-spaced elastic zones. Cover sheets are attached to the side of the crotch member to cover the crotch member's front and rear ends respectively. A length dimension of the cover sheet in the longitudinal direction is set to be smaller than those of the front and rear waist members and a length dimension of the cover sheet in the transverse direction is substantially equal to those of the front and rear waist members.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - A diaper includes front and rear waist members and a crotch member. The front and rear waist members are respectively formed with first narrowly-spaced elastic zones, widely-spaced elastic zones and second narrowly-spaced elastic zones adjacent one to another. Front and rear ends of the crotch member are bonded to respective sides of the front and rear waist members so that the crotch member's front and rear ends may positionally correspond to the second narrowly-spaced elastic zones. Cover sheets are attached to the side of the crotch member to cover the crotch member's front and rear ends respectively. A length dimension of the cover sheet in the longitudinal direction is set to be smaller than those of the front and rear waist members and a length dimension of the cover sheet in the transverse direction is substantially equal to those of the front and rear waist members.
|ABSORBENT ARTICLE - In the disclosed absorbent article, in a first region, a first elastic member extends linearly in the widthwise direction, in a second region, a second elastic member extends linearly in the widthwise direction, the elongational stress of the first elastic member is greater than the elongational stress of the second elastic member, and the length in the widthwise direction of the joining region that is of both the main body of an absorbent body and a chassis in the first region is configured in a manner so as to be shorter than the length in the widthwise direction of the joining region that is of both the main body of the absorbent body and the chassis in the second region.

A pants-type diaper having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a front-back direction, and including a front panel adapted to cover a front waist region of the wearer, a rear panel adapted to cover a rear waist region of the article wearer and a crotch panel connected to the front panel and the rear panel so as to cover a crotch region of the article wearer. The rear panel is formed with a rear waist covering portion having a dimension in the longitudinal direction substantially the same as a dimension of the front panel and a buttocks covering portion contiguously extending downward from the rear waist covering portion and adapted to cover at least partially the wearer's buttocks. The crotch panel includes an absorbent core and gasket cuffs extending in the front-back direction along lateral portions of the absorbent core and having gasket elastics adapted to be elastically contractible. The buttocks covering portion has buttock elastics extending in the transverse direction. The buttocks covering portion and the crotch panel are joined to each other in a zone defined between the gasket cuffs opposite to each other in the transverse direction and not joined to each other at portions in which the gasket cuffs are disposed.

The front and rear waist members include first regions overlapping the front and rear flaps, respectively, second regions lying adjacent to the associated first regions and third regions lying adjacent to the associated second regions. The front and rear waist members are provided with the first, second and third waist elastics attached between respective inner and outer sheets in the first, second and third regions, respectively. A tensile stress of the first regions and the third regions is adjusted to be lower than that of the second regions.
|THIN ABSORBENT ARTICLE - Disclosed is an absorbent article containing an absorbent body which is thin before absorption, and even after absorption does not inhibit super absorbent polymer (SAP) swelling and wherein deformation such as twisting is unlikely to occur. The disclosed absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable front surface sheet, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet, and an absorbent body which is located between the two sheets. The absorbent body is formed from a super absorbent polymer containing layer and a non-woven fabric layer, with the non-woven fabric layer having regions wherein the between-fibre void ratio is relatively large and regions wherein the between-fibre void ratio is relatively small. The tip sections of the fibres forming the non-woven fabric layer are greater in number in the regions wherein the between-fibre void ratio is relatively large than the regions wherein the between-fibre void ratio is relatively small, and the non-woven fabric layer has expansibility.
|BODILY FLUID ABSORBENT STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME - A bodily fluid absorbent structure adapted to be stably secured in a state in which a liquid-absorbent core is wrapped with a core wrapping sheet and ensuring a high workability for a process of manufacturing the bodily fluid absorbent structure. A bodily fluid absorbent structure has a first surface and a second surface wherein, on the side of the first surface, a core wrapping sheet and a liquid-absorbent core are bonded to each other by the intermediary of a bond region defined by hot melt adhesive intermittently applied to substantially entire opposite surfaces of the core wrapping sheet and the liquid-absorbent core. On the side of the second surface, lateral portions of the core wrapping sheet are overlapped each other, and the core wrapping sheet and the liquid-absorbent core are secured to each other in compressed end portions formed in the first and second end regions and a compressed middle portions formed in lateral portions of a middle region except a central zone as viewed in a direction of a transverse axis.
|METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WET WIPES, MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, AND WET WIPES - A method of manufacturing wet wipes includes a step of continuously conveying a plurality of sheets by a conveyor, a step of folding each of the sheets toward a conveyor non-contact surface side of the sheets, a step of impregnating each of the folded sheets with the predetermined chemical solution, from a conveyor contact surface side of the sheets a step of laminating each of the sheets impregnated with the predetermined chemical solution, and a step of cutting the laminated sheets.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - The present invention provides a disposable wearing article adapted to inhibit sweating and an uncomfortable stuffiness. Front and rear waist regions of a disposable wearing article have inner surfaces thereof at least partially formed of elastic sheets. The elastic sheets are made of a mixture of elastic fibers and inelastic fibers and formed with ridges and grooves. The elastic sheets have a thickness in the ridges repetitively reduced and restored as the elastic sheets repeat elastic stretch and contraction in the waist circumferential direction.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - In a crotch region in the disclosed absorbent article, a waist elastic member provided in a front waist region, and waist elastic members provided in a rear waist region are arranged so as to not come into contact with each other, and a linear identification part is provided in either the front waist region or the rear waist region, in a manner such that in a first region wherein an absorbent main body is provided the identification part is only visible from the side of the absorbent article which is not in contact with the skin, and in a second region wherein the absorbent main body is not provided the identification part is visible from both the side of the absorbent article which is in contact with the skin and that which is not.

Belt-like leg elastic members respectively have front side upper ends lying in the front waist region and included by the put flat and joined together regions and rear side upper ends lying in the rear waist region and included by the put flat and joined together regions. In the put flat and joined together regions, lower edges of the upper ends and lower edges of the rear side upper ends are displaced one from another in such a manner that the one pair of the lower edges lie below the other pair of the lower edges. |PANT-TYPE DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - A pant-type disposable wearing article includes at least one waist region of front and rear waist regions, which includes an inner sheet lying on the skin-facing side and an outer sheet lying on the non-skin-facing side. The inner sheet has a contractile force higher than that of the outer sheet at least in the transverse direction X. Opposite lateral sections of the inner sheet and opposite lateral sections of the outer sheet are permanently bonded together and extend outward in the transverse direction X from arrays of side seam spots to form front flaps and rear flaps defining protruding rims. The front flaps and the rear flaps are curled inwardly. This article is improved so that opposite side edges do not irritate a wearer's skin even if the wearer's skin comes in contact with these side edges and, in addition, good appearance from a lateral view is assured.
|DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE - The present invention aims to provide a disposable wearing article improved so that front and rear waist regions may assure desired fitness without adversely affecting an absorption capacity of a bodily fluid-absorbent core assembly. At least one of front and rear waist regions includes an inner sheet lying on a skin-facing side and having stretch properties and an outer sheet lying on a non-skin-facing side and having a low elastic contractile force. In a section of this one waist region occupied by a liquid-absorbent core assembly including a bodily fluid-absorbent core, the inner sheet is partially cut to define a perforated region. Adhesive used to bond the liquid-absorbent core assembly to the inner sheet and adhesive used to bond the inner sheet to the outer sheet are put in contact with and joined to each other through openings developed by partially cutting the inner sheet.

The outer holding mechanism holds, out of a region formed in a predetermined waveform, an outer end region OT which includes an outer end of the leg gathers and on which an adhesive is not applied. The blade section is disposed inside, relative to a crossing direction, the outer end region OT held by the outer holding mechanism.

In a spread-out state of the disposable diaper, an outermost elastic member among the elastic members is arranged outboard of the joint portion in the width direction.

The tape fastener includes a tape attaching part attached to the side flap and exposed at an outer side face of the side flap. The side flap includes a leg periphery side region positioned closer to a leg of a wearer than the tape attaching part. The main body includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable outer sheet, and an absorber between the topsheet and the outer sheet. The side flap covers one of edge portions of the main body in a longitudinal direction and has a greater dimension in a width direction than the main body. The fastening tapes are attached to respective edge portions, in the width direction, of the side flap and configured to be fastened onto a fastening portion on an opposite one of the edge portions of the main body. |DISPOSABLE DIAPER - On the back sheet side, back-side recessed portions recessed toward the top sheet are provided in a surface of the absorber of the disposable diaper. The back-side recessed portions include multiple grooves, which are continuous in the longitudinal direction L of the absorber. The back-side recessed portions is visible from an outside of the back sheet in a state before the disposable diaper is used, and when the absorber absorbs liquid, the depth D of the back-side recessed portions is made smaller than that before the absorber absorbs liquid. When it is judged that a splicing region formed between the first belt-like material and the second belt-like material by the splicing operation of the splicing unit, is going to be treated by the intermittently-treating unit, the control unit controls the splicing unit so as to retard the splicing operation.

The topsheet is formed on its outer surface with ridges and troughs extending in parallel to each other in a front-back direction. Opposite lateral regions of the topsheet extending outward at least partially beyond opposite side edges of the core material assembly are compressed so as to lower a height of the ridges.

|FOLDING APPARATUS - A sailor roll includes pressing rolls and a center roll provided between the pressing rolls the center roll configured to press a central region of a web. |NONWOVEN FABRIC - Short fibers of thermoplastic synthetic resin are fusion bonded to one another to form a nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric is formed on its upper surface with crests and troughs extending in parallel to one another. The crests include first crests having a uniform height dimension from a lower surface of the nonwoven fabric and second crests having a uniform height dimension from a lower surface of the nonwoven fabric which is smaller than the height dimension of the first crests. Density of the nonwoven fabric gradually increases in the order of the first crests, the second crests and the troughs. |NONWOVEN FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME - Provided is a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric having improved in air permeability in the thickness direction thereof, formed on its surface with ridges and troughs extending in parallel to each other in one direction. A nonwoven fabric formed of thermoplastic synthetic short fibers fused together is formed on its upper surface with ridges and troughs extending in parallel to each other in a longitudinal direction. In a cross section of each ridge taken in the transverse direction, the ridge includes opposite lateral regions in which the short fibers are densely distributed and a central region defined between the opposite lateral regions and in which the short fibers are sparsely distributed. The short fibers in the central region include short fibers in a crest of the ridge adapted to connect the opposite lateral regions to each other. This invention also discloses a method for manufacturing of the nonwoven fabric.
