20110272201 | VEHICLE DRIVE SYSTEM AND USE OF AN ELECTROMECHANICAL CONVERTER - The invention relates to a vehicle drive system, comprising an electromechanical converter, in particular an electric variable transmission. The converter is provided with a primary shaft having a rotor mounted thereon, a secondary shaft having an interrotor mounted thereon and a stator, fixedly mounted to a housing of the electromechanical converter. Viewed from the primary shaft in radial direction, the rotor, the interrotor and the stator are arranged concentrically relative to each other. Further, the primary shaft is arranged for being driven by an output shaft of an engine and the secondary shaft is arranged for driving an input shaft of a transmission unit. | 11-10-2011 |
20110204220 | Method and Apparatus for Identification of Biological Material - Biological material is detected in a sample using a MALDI-MS technique (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption and Ionization-Mass Spectroscopy). A liquid comprising the sample and a MALDI matrix material is prepared and used to form a continuous stream of the liquid. The stream is separated into successive parts to form drops, which are launched into flight, or the stream is launched into flight and then separated into drops. Drop forming techniques may be used that are known from ink jet printers. Material from the drops is ionized while in flight. Mass spectra from the ionized material of respective drops are measured. Preferably, before the drops are formed the liquid is diluted to a level where the majority of drops at most one micro-organism is present per drop. | 08-25-2011 |
20100100322 | Star Tracker With Baffle - A star tracker is used to measure the direction of stars. Preferably a wide imaging range is provided so that a reliable orientation of the star tracker can be computed from measurements of the directions of star at substantially different directions. The star tracker comprises a light baffle and located between the light baffle and an image sensing arrangement. The light baffle comprises an array of walls, including sidewalls and at least one internal wall between the sidewalls. Preferably, the side walls and the at least one internal wall are oriented at mutually different orientations emanating from a virtual line of intersection of the planes of the walls. Thus a range of star directions can be imaged with constant sensitivity. | 04-22-2010 |
