The information handling system includes a controlling bridge having a plurality of bridge ports and at least one port extender coupled to one of the bridge ports of the controlling bridge to form an extended bridge. The port extender has a plurality of extension ports. The information handling system further includes an access point coupled to the port extender such that a wireless association between the access point and one or more stations appears as a logical bridge port to the controlling bridge and to an access controller system. The access point has a wireless transceiver to communication with the one or more stations. Associated methods are provided herein for providing wireless network access to a local area network.06-11-2015
20150163120Pro-Active MPIO Based Rate Limiting To Avoid iSCSI Network Congestion/Incast For Clustered Storage Systems - In an embodiment, a method of managing inbound throughput for at least one storage read request can include analyzing, at a server, a given storage read request to determine required network throughput at network ports of the server. Each of the storage read requests can be directed to a storage device. The method can further include queuing, at the server, the given storage read request if the required throughput of the given storage read request combined with throughput of outstanding storage read requests previously sent to the storage device saturates the available bandwidth of the network ports of the server. The method can additionally include sending the given storage request from the server to the storage device if the required throughput of the storage read request along with throughput of the outstanding read requests is below the level of available bandwidth of the network ports of the server.06-11-2015
20150160690METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR NETWORK SWITCH CONFIGURATION FOR A MODULAR COMPONENT CARRYING ONE OR MORE INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEMS - A method may include, receiving, by a controller integral to a chassis, a user request to apply a switch configuration. The method may also include communicating from the controller to a remote access controller (RAC) integral to at least one module disposed in a plurality of slots of the chassis an indication that a user has requested application of a switch configuration. The method may further include receiving at the controller, in response to the indication, a request to download a switch configuration file from the controller to the RAC. The method may additionally include transferring from the controller, in response to the request to download the switch configuration file, the switch configuration file to the RAC such that the RAC applies parameters set forth in the switch configuration file in order to configure an in-band switch associated with the module comprising the RAC.06-11-2015
20150160627METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT IN A DISTRIBUTED ARCHITECTURE INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM CHASSIS - In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for use in a chassis having a plurality of slots each configured to receive a module having one or more information handling systems wherein each slot is configured to electrically and communicatively couple the module to other components of the chassis may be provided. The method may include receiving, by a controller integral to the chassis, a signal from a sensor integral to the chassis, the signal indicative of a measured physical quantity of the sensor. The method may also include communicating, from the controller to a remote access controller integral to at least one module disposed in the plurality of slots, sensor information in conformity with the signal.06-11-2015
