20140213879 | ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH MONITORING DEVICE AND CONNECTOR - The present invention relates to electrocardiography and to electrode arrangements used in electrocardiographic monitoring devices, and is more particularly related to a pad or patch containing said electrodes which may be used to passively and non-invasively monitor electrical activity generated by a patient's heart from the surface of that patient's chest, and to a connector which allows for fast and simple connection between the pad containing said electrodes and the devices and equipment typically used to monitor and view electrocardiographic information. | 07-31-2014 |
20130231546 | ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH MONITORING DEVICE AND CONNECTOR - The present invention relates to electrocardiography and to electrode arrangements used in electrocardiographic monitoring devices. An EKG patch may include a plurality of individual EKG patches, each comprising a base layer and a plurality of electrodes capable of receiving an electrical signal generated by the myocardium of a human heart. Each of the plurality of the individual EKG patches may be stacked on top of each other such that each electrode in an individual patch aligns and contacts with at least one corresponding electrode in an adjacent EKG patch, thereby allowing a free flow of electricity through the plurality of stacked EKG patches, and such that the bottom-most EKG patch may be contacted with the skin of a patient. A temporary or release adhesive may be placed between each of the plurality of EKG patches such that the bottom-most EKG patch may be peeled away from the stack after each use. | 09-05-2013 |
20130079837 | MAGNETIC SWITCHING DEVICE - A magnetic switching device includes an electromagnet adapted to be arranged proximate to an exterior surface of an object having a magnetically-switchable device therein and a control circuit electrically connected to the electromagnet. The electromagnet is constructed to generate a magnetic field of sufficient strength and orientation to engage a switch in the magnetically-switchable device. The invention further includes an electrocautery system, including an electrocautery device, a control circuit electrically connected to the electrocautery device, and an electromagnet electrically connected to the control circuit. The electromagnet is adapted to be arranged proximate to an exterior surface of an object having a magnetically-switchable device therein. Operation of the electrocautery device causes the electromagnet to generate a magnetic field of sufficient strength to engage a switch in the magnetically-switchable device. | 03-28-2013 |
