Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a convertible garment including a
swimsuit and detachable and interchangeable accessories, which allows for
endless combinations from one main swimsuit. The disclosed invention
allows for combinations of ruffles and/or sleeves to be added to a
swimsuit which provides the ability for a user to change the look and
functionality of the outfit almost completely through the add on
accessories.Claims:
1. A convertible garment comprising: a swimsuit having front part and a
back part; wherein the back part is lined with a plurality of attachment
points concealed along the inner seams of the back part; wherein said
attachment points comprise a first set of fasteners; and at least one
detachable accessory; wherein said least one detachable accessory is
configured with a second set of fasteners complementary to said first set
of fasteners to attach the accessory to said attachment points.
2. The garment of claim 1 wherein the swimsuit is a one-piece swimsuit.
3. The garment of claim 1 wherein the swimsuit is a two-piece swimsuit.
4. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is a small ruffle.
5. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is a long ruffle.
6. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is a sleeve.
7. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is a puffy organza sleeve.
8. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is a stitched ruffles accessory.
9. The garment of claim 1 wherein the accessory is an extra-long diva ruffle accessory.
10. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners comprise female sockets and the second set of fasteners comprise metal snaps with male studs.
11. The garment of claim 1, wherein the second set of fasteners comprise female sockets and the first set of fasteners comprise metal snaps with male studs.
12. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise snap buttons.
13. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise hook and loop fasteners.
14. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise magnets.
15. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise elastic with button eyelets.
16. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise straps.
17. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise zippers.
18. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise press-fasteners.
19. The garment of claim 1, wherein the first set of fasteners or the second set of fasteners comprise press studs.

TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present application relates in general to clothing, and more particularly, to fashion swimwear.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] A swimsuit, bathing suit or swimming costume is an item of clothing designed to be worn for swimming or sunbathing. Swimsuits can be skin-tight or loosely fitting and range from garments designed to preserve as much modesty as possible to garments designed to reveal as much of the body as possible without actual nudity. They are often lined with a fabric that prevents them from becoming transparent when wet. Female swimwear is well known and commonly comprises a one-piece bathing Suit, bikini top and bottom, thong bikini bottoms, bodysuits, and/or a variety of other styles ranging in aesthetic appeal and functional characteristics. Swimwear is an important item of clothing that can serve a variety of functions such as protecting the skin from epidermis damaging ultra-violet radiation from the sun, added buoyancy in water, and warmth to name a few. Additionally, swimwear has aesthetic appeal as well as function such as swimwear that is form-fitting, slenderizing female swimwear, or padding for accentuating a particular area of the body.
[0003] Women often buy multiple swimsuits, which can become expensive. Swimwear should be highly adaptable to allow for easy switching between desired fashionable looks. It is also desirable to provide swimwear that is readily adjustable to form different swim and bathing wear types, to allow for a variety of swim/bathing wear options from the same clothing article.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The present invention discloses a swimsuit having a main piece (either a one-piece or a two-piece) that is attachable and detachable to fashion accessories. The one-piece swimsuit may include a garment piece with attachment means, for example fasteners with female sockets all along the inner seams of the garment. The two-piece swimsuit may include a top and bottom garment piece each with garment attachment means, for example fasteners with female sockets all along the inner seams of the garment. The attachable and detachable fashion accessories may include garment attachment means, for example metal snaps with male studs, in complementary locations concealed along the inner seams to allow for attachment to the swimsuit.
[0006] In certain embodiments of the present invention, the attachable and detachable accessories may include short ruffles to be fastened to the swimsuit top or bottom.
