Abstract:
The scope of this is to not tie a shoe string on shoes or boots. Using a
plastic device I call Slide Tie.
For the most part this is a 2 hold plastic less than 2 centimeter, and 2
holes close together to get tight. While holes father apart slip. A 3rd
hole can be added also to make tight. Slot can be added in many direction
from sides, top, or bottom, etc.
To stay different than other larger slips type devices. Slide tie is
smaller than tent fasteners. And the first 2 holes need to be close
together. Only 6 mm at the most. Both string go through each hole. Witch
adds to tightening. Tent fasteners use only one string or cord through
each hole
For the most part this will be made of plastic, but can be made of many
materials the 2 string both go through each hole when used correctly. I
use a STRING CONTROL DEVICE with witch I want to show. So I can keep it's
use but do not need care to patent. I found many ways to make slots for
this control in so not to let shoe string out. Pull tabs are yet to be
work out but I want to show so I can have it's use. Nobs, tongues,
pullers, pegs, etc. Can be added. Still want to show, so I added to
picture to show. My samples are hand Made but will probably use plastic
injection to makeClaims:
1. I claim all 2, 3, and 4 hole devices used to tie shoe strings when 2
of the holes have a wall thickness between them of 6 mm or less and
center of !st hole to center of 3rd hole is 22 mm or less and thickness
of device is 2 mm to 7 mm and the hole drilled or put in are from 5.9 mm
or larger to 6.7 mm or smaller whether they are round, oval, square, or
some other shape when made of wood, steel, aluminum, plastic carbon
fiber, resin, or other plastic type, etc. Right to use with claim I claim
the right to use bigger devices, toungs nob, slots and pin tabs when used
for shoe string tieing. Do not want some one to patent around restricting
my patent stopping me from using or building larger devices and or using
toungs, nobs, or pin tab Statement About Claim I have seen some other
similar devices used with tent kites etc. they have there own uses and
are built with that in mind. Some other may be larger each have there own
function and intention. My device is for boot and shoe tieing onlyDescription:
CROSS REFERENCE TO PROVISIONAL PATENT
[0001] In my Provisional Patent Shoe Ting Method With String Control
[0002] I intended to stop slipping that I got with a single toggle. When I fasten my shoe I knew several ways. Upon trying many ways. I found that a 2 Hole slip with both holes close together was what works best.
[0003] These 2 holes in the slip need to be with in 10 center of 1.sup.st hole to center of 2.sup.nd hole. A hole diameter of 5.9 mm to 6.75 mm. This covers what I found to fit many shoe strings, and keep tight. A bigger hole just slips when tied. A smaller hole is to tight for 2 strings to get through
[0004] A 3 or 4 hole slip can also be used. But the distance between 1.sup.st hole and the 3.sup.rd hole needs to be less than 22 mm center to center
[0005] There are far to many ways to use string control, and I no longer need this from my provisional patent. 2 toggles is bulky, and 2 loose slips are not neat. But I found that 2 holes close together get tight. I do want to include 3 and 4 holes to complete this patent
BACK GROUND OF INVENTION
[0006] Many shoe tie device and methods are on the market but none like this. I have not seen in 20 yr of looking. aA I know will offer more option
BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0007] This is a 2,3, or 4 hole device made of plastic that your 2 shoe string go through so to slid and get tight. When holes are close together the string bind and get tight. They can loosen from out side. They can be made of metal, aluminum, wood, plastic, resin or other composite material etc.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING
[0008] There are 3 pages with 8 drawings number 1 through 8 shows maximum thickness of holes size and distance between holes as well as there minimum They show top and side view of a plastic device some with 3 holes and some with 4 holes. The 4th page show 2 drawings so to picture the 2 hole device
[0009] FIG. 1 is a top view of 2 hole device were the total tenth is 1 cm to 2 cm, (2 hole will be drilled or put in some were from 5.9 to 6.7 mm) (wall thickness between 2 hole will be some were from 1 mm lo 6 mm)
[0010] FIG. 2 Is a side view of 2 hole device were the thickness will be from 2 mm to 7 mm.
[0011] FIG. 3 is a top view of 3 hole device. (shows hole size dimension for hole and wall thickness between holes) (wall thickness between 2nd and third hole can be more more than 6 mm)
[0012] FIG. 4 is a side view of a 3 hole device. (shows thickness will be made any size from 2 mm to 7 mm) (shows distance from 1st hole to 3rd hole will 22 mm or less)
[0013] FIG. 5 is a top view of 3 hole device with slots--(slots can be any were for string control and slide in ease)
[0014] FIG. 6 is a slide view of a 3 hole device with slots. (thickness can be 2 mm to 7 mm)
[0015] FIG. 7 is a top view of a 4 hole device
[0016] FIG. 8 is a top view of a 4 hole device with slots. (as with the 3 hole with slots. slots can be used to slide shoe string in from side and to hook loose string).
[0017] FIG. 9 is a 2 hole device with lines to show how shoe string will go
[0018] FIG. 10 is a 2 hole device with loop pulled out of string (shows how string gets tight)
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0019] This invention is normally,
[0020] A small plastic device with 2 holes (FIG. 1 & FIG. 2), or a 3 hole device (FIG. 3 & FIG. 4) Where the strings go through 2 holes (FIG. 9) and can slide through one hole at a time. When the loop is pulled out of shoe string the 2 string get tight (FIG. 10) The 2 close holes get tight. By using a 3.sup.rd hole (FIG. 3 & FIG. 4) you can add tightness. This can also be made 4 holes (FIG. 7). Slots can be added (FIG. 5) a 3 hole, (FIG. 8) a 4 hole. They can be used for string control, or to hook shoe string instead of threading. Device can be many shapes, rectangle, with groves, molded edges or other design etc. They can have tongues, handless, pegs, nobs, or other push pull type design. They can be made to look like beer cans, flowers, hats, pets, balls, fish, or other toys, etc.
