Abstract

A garment display frame comprising garment having a front and back surfaces, the frame being transparent and removably mounted on a front or back surface of the garment and forming a clear receptacle on the garment. Another feature that may be part of the invention is to have multiple dividers in the removable pocket to enable to hold pictures that are not viewable but may be moved to the front window to now be viewable, and allow the previously viewable picture to be placed in a pocket section that is further away from the front window.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

[0004] This invention relates generally to the field of clothing and more particularly to a system and method for removably coupling a clear pocket to clothing to hold pictures for display on the clothing.

(2) Background of the Invention

[0005] The present invention relates generally to displays and, more specifically, to a garment display frame that provides apparel with at least one display frame releasably incorporated into said apparel where the apparel has one part of a mating pair of fasteners and the display frame has the other part. The display frame has a border mounted to the edge of the display frame with a plastic transparent or translucent receptacle bound thereby having a pocket so that the user can insert a visual display of their choosing therein.

[0006] The apparel display frame has a receptacle that can be incorporated into any garment so that a user can selectively insert any picture, image, message, graphic or artwork as desired. The garment has a first part of a mating fastener while the display frame has the second part incorporated therein whereby the display frame can be removed prior to washing the garment. As illustrated, the garment has at least one display frame of any shape thereon that can occur on any part of the garment forming an integral part therewith.

[0007] However, none of the known prior art teaches of a removable pocket, having multiple layers or dividers therein, that also provide for a traditional pocket for placing items there behind the clear pocket display.

SUMMARY

[0008] In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of apparatus to degrade pollution percent or like in the prior art, the present invention provides an improved apparatus to provide for a removable pocket, having multiple layers or dividers therein, that also provide for a traditional pocket for placing items there behind the clear pocket display. As such, the general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new and improved perfume applicator clear pocket with all the advantages of the prior art and none of the disadvantages.

[0009] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a garment display frame comprising: the garment having sleeves, a collar, front and back surfaces, the frame being transparent and removably mounted on a front or back surface of the garment and forming a receptacle on the garment; a window supported by and in contact with the frame exterior to the and adjacent the receptacle whereas a visual display item is contained within the receptacle and visible through the window; the frame having a border peripheral to the window, said border having a front surface adjacent to the window and disposed about a periphery of said window and a rear surface opposite the front surface; an access opening providing access to the receptacle; a plurality of fasteners for removably affixing the frame to an outer surface of the garment, each of the plurality of fasteners having a first portion mounted on an outer rear surface of the border, a second portion secured on a front surface of the garment, and a separate reinforcement portion mounted on an inner surface of the garment so as to align with each of the second portions; and wherein the plurality of fasteners are selected from the group consisting of snaps, mating hook and loop fasteners, zippers, and buttons.

[0018] Turning now to FIG. 1, the present invention 10 discloses a display frame 12 attachable to dungaree apparel 14. The apparel display frame 12 has a frame border 16 and a receptacle 24 behind the plastic window 18 so that a user can selectively insert any picture, image, message, graphic or artwork as desired. The apparel 14 and display frame 12 have mating fastener elements 26 whereby the display frame 12 can be removed prior to washing the apparel 14. As illustrated, the apparel 14 has at least one display frame 12 of any shape thereon that can occur on any part of the apparel 14 forming an integral part therewith.

[0019] Although the illustrated embodiment of FIG. 1 illustrates a single pocket it is contemplated to include multiple dividers in the single pocket. Whereby, with multiple dividers placed like in an according accordion folder as used in portable files with separated dividers to divide multiple documents, it is now possible to have multiple pictures stored in a single pocket, so that a user may now move the picture that is on the outer most viewing position and place it in another pocket or further back in the divider order, and select a picture that was in a further back divider section and place it in the prominent viewable pocket section. In other words, there are multiple picture dividers to store un-viewable pictures that will be moved to the front portion where the picture is now viewable.

Claims

1. A garment display frame, comprising: a) the garment having sleeves, a collar, front and back surfaces, the frame being transparent and removably mounted on a front or back surface of the garment and forming a receptacle on the garment; b) a window supported by and in contact with the frame exterior to the adjacent the receptacle whereas a visual display item is contained within the receptacle and visible through the window; c) the frame having a border peripheral to the window, said border having a front surface adjacent to the window and disposed about a periphery of said window and a rear surface opposite the front surface; d) an access opening providing access to the receptacle; e) a plurality of fasteners for removably affixing the frame to an outer surface of the garment, each of the plurality of fasteners having a first portion mounted on an outer rear surface of the border, a second portion secured on a front surface of the garment, and a separate reinforcement portion mounted on an inner surface of the garment so as to align with each of the second portions; and f) wherein the plurality of fasteners are selected from the group consisting of snaps, mating hook and loop fasteners, zippers, and buttons.

2. The garment display frame according to claim 1, wherein the window is selected from the group consisting of translucent and transparent material.

3. The garment display frame according to claim 2, wherein the window is clear plastic.

4. The garment display frame according to claim 1, further comprising a closure fastener for securing the access opening.

5. The garment display frame according to claim 4, wherein the closure fastener for the receptacle is selected from the group of snaps, hook and loop, zippers and buttons.

6. The garment display frame according to claim 4, wherein the receptacle is formed by the window bonding on three edges of the frame.

7. The garment display frame according to claim 1, wherein the item of display apparel contains a plurality of said frames.

8. The garment display frame according to claim 6, further comprising at least two dividers behind the window having the same shape as the window and designed to hold a second and more pictures that are not to be displayed in the window, and to hold the pictures away from the garment material.
