Abstract:
This garment is made to help a deformed back look straight. It also cuts
down on making the large side of you back from getting sore and bruised.
This garment will help people with scoliosis to feel more normal and
builds their confidence. It is also very comfortable and can be worn over
a brace.Claims:
1. I claim that I am the only person to my knowledge that has created
this invention This is a garment for scoliosis to make a person look
straight.Description:
[0001] This shirt is made to make a deformed back look straight. It has 2
backs, the inner back has 2-4 inch look Velcro strips 12.5 inches long on
the right and left side so a person can use it for a left or right side
hump.
[0002] The hip pad and shoulder pad can be used for the right or left side also. This shirt is made of all stretchable material. A woman or man can wear it from and are available in sizes from Medium to 2XL. The pads are made of sheep skin 1 inch smaller so when you put the pad holder in it will conform to the back better.
[0003] The back of the pad holder has 2-4 inch hook Velcro sewn on it to fasten it to the inner back. There is also 2 flaps sewn on each side seam on purpose to close over the pads and will shut with a lynch hook on 1 side. The front and back of shirt has an open zipper for easy access
[0004] This shirt cuts down on sore and bruised backs because of sitting on a straight back surface only one side of your back rests on the surface. I like a medical cosmetic shirt that builds your confidence, cuts down on stress and depression trying to look normal. You can wear this alone, under your clothes and over a brace.
[0005] Pre-Teen and Teens can wear this shirt only smaller, from sizes 10-16. There are millions of people with Scoliosis that just want to look and feel normal.

[0040] 14. Shoulder pad made of heather knit or polyester cotton. This pad can go under the left or right shoulder the same as the hip pad and the pads for the inner back.

[0042] 16. Snap strips to be sewn inside shoulder bad, hip pad and poly bag. All sewn on the bottom to hold pads in.

[0044] 1. When you connect the backs and the fronts of the shirt at the shoulder seams, sew on top of the inside seam 1 inch by 1 inch loop Velcro on both shoulders. This will hook into the hook Velcro sewn on the shoulder pad to keep in place. Sew on Sleeves.
[0045] 2. Sew 4 inch loop Velcro 12.5 inches long, 3 inches from the top of the inner back and 1.5 inches from the left from the arm hole. Sew 2 of these 1 inch apart. Do the same thing on the other side straight across. This makes 4-12.5 inch loop Velcro so a person can use the pads on the left of right side.
[0046] 3. Sew 4 inch hook Velcro on the back of the pad bad 1/5 inches from the top, 1/5 inches from the left side of the holder and 1 inch apart. These will also be 12.5 inches long. Snap tape will be sewn on the inside bottom of the bad to hold pads in.
[0047] 4. There are 3 back pieces to this shirt. The very back with a 26 inch open zipper then the inner back that has the loop Velcro and the flap that covers the pad. The inner back has flaps and the outer back has a zipper. Inner flap has 18 inch long 1 inch hook and loop Velcro sewn on to hold it together.
[0048] 5. Start sewing the flaps on each side of the inner back starting 4 inches down from the top of the shoulder seam. It will start at the arm hole along the outer back. Sew 3.5 inches down, then stop.
[0049] 6. Sew one 12.5.times.2 inch Velcro between the inner back and flap only on each side. One will be hook and other is a loop. This will be pulled around to the front under the shirt to form a belt. Begin sewing all the material at the sides 0.5 inches down from after you've sewn in the belt Velcro. This will keep the shirt from puckering when you tighten the belt.
[0050] 7. There will be a 24 inch open zipper on the front of the shirt and a 26 inch open zipper on the back.
[0051] 8. I will be sending extra sheep skin along with the shirt in case the person who buys it needs to make extra pads or change the size of the pads. Also, instructions will be sent to help the person understand how to fit the pads to the shirt and how to do the hip and shoulder pad.
[0052] 9. This shirt is made of very stretchable material to fit from a medium to a 2X size person. It is made to make a person with a deformed back to look straight. It can fit for the right or left side of the back and is very comfortable. You can wear it as is or under your clothing.
