FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] This invention relates to a method of producing an inhibitor that previous degradation of engine oils used in vehicles and heavy machines, or vessels.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[0002] Engine oil supplied to rotating parts and sliding parts of engine of a vehicle and the like for lubrication is pooled in an oil pan located in a bottom part of the engine, sucked up by an oil pump driven by a part of power of the engine as soon as the engine starts, and sent the rotating parts and the sliding parts such as a crank shaft, piston pins, pistons and piston rings by a pressure generated by the pump.
[0003] The engine oil turns to oil droplets or fails in the oil pan through walls after lubrication, and repeats lubrication. Thus, the engine oil degrades due to repetition of the action, and needs to be changed typically every 3,000-5,000 km. Degradation of engine oil is noticed by blackening due to generation of sludge, loosing viscosity and feeling of granular.
[0004] Increase in friction resistance at the rotating parts and the sliding parts inside the engine due to the degradation and damaging inner walls of cylinders result in a reduction of output capacity of the engine. Generation of toxic substances such as NOx and carbon monoxide due to poor combustion efficiency, deterioration of fuel economy, and shortening of engine life are problems.
[0005] Thus, oil change is required. However, for vehicles used for business such as transportation, taxi and bus, the engine oil change in a short interval is necessary and complication of the oil change work leads to low productivity. Handling of used engine oil is a problem due to environmental protection in recent years, thus a large expense for disposal and recycling, and time-consuming work are problems.
[0006] The engine oil gradually degrades in proportion to usage frequency, thus the engine performance also gradually degrades, and problems of poor fuel economy and generation of toxic substances occur.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0007] In order to solve this problems, the present invention provides a method of producing a degradation inhibitor that is added to the engine oil to regenerate the engine oil and prevent degradation.
[0008] The method of producing the engine oil degradation inhibitor of the present invention comprises a process of mixing fermentation bacterium and a soil bacterium cultivated separately in a culture medium made from molasses diluted with water, and a process of adding an organic fat. As the fermentation bacterium, a bacterium or bacteria belonged to useful bacteria such as yeast and aspergillus oryzae (barley, rice, soy source or the like) are utilized.
[0009] The soil bacterium is obtained by culturing a supernatant liquid of soil collected from neighboring mountains, stirred with water and settled in a container. As the organic fat, castor oil or the like are also used. The fat is a source of nutrients for a mixed bacteria to be able to continue fermentation when the mixed bacteria of the fermentation bacterium and the soil bacterium are added to the engine oil made from an inorganic fat, and a ratio of the mixed bacteria and the organic fat is preferably within the range of bacteria/fat: 6/4-7/3.
[0010] The degradation inhibitor of the present invention prevents generation of sludge in the engine oil by the carbonization deterrent action of the mixed bacteria of the fermentation bacterium and the soil bacterium, and has an effect of deterring decline of viscosity by the regenerating action. The interval of the engine oil change that is normally 3,000 km-5,000 km is extended to more than 20,000 km without degradation of the oil, thus the lifetime of the engine oil significantly improves.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0012] A method of producing the engine oil degradation inhibitor of the present invention is described in detail in the following. First, a fermentation bacterium such as yeast or aspergillus oryzae is separately added to a culture medium made from molasses diluted with water by 100-120 times. The culture medium is kept in an incubator at 30.degree. C.-40.degree. C. for 48-72 hours until an active fermentation is observed. The bacteria are further naturally cultured at room temperature. The supernatant liquid is fileted and is naturally cultured in the culture.
[0013] Secondly, soil collected from the neighboring mountains of Soyo-machi Kumamoto-prefecture is added, stirred and waited until settlement. After confirmation of the settlement, the supernatant liquid is sampled and added to the cultural kept at 30.degree. C.-40.degree. C. After confirmation of active fermentation, the soil bacterium is naturally cultured. The fermentation bacterium and the soil bacterium are added to the culture at the ratio of 2-4% and kept at 30.degree. C.-40.degree. C.. After confirmation of active fermentation, the bacteria are naturally cultured at room temperature.
[0014] Thirdly, said cultural mixed bacteria are further mixed with the culture at the ratio of 1-2%, and cultured. As shown in FIG. 1, 100 liter mixed bacteria tank 1 and organic fat tank 2 are prepared and the mixed bacteria cultured in the final culturing process and the castor oil, an organic oil are poured in mixed bacteria tank 1 and organic fat tank 2, respectively.
[0015] The engine oil degradation inhibitor is produced by mixing the mixed bacteria and the castor oil at the ratio of 6/4-7/3 and transferring to the 1.8 litter Container 3.
Example 1
[0016] Four (4) liters of engine oil of a vehicle with the mileage of 150,000 km is changed, and then the degradation state is inspected at 160,000 km. The engine oil is considerably dirty. 300 milliliters of engine oil degradation inhibitor of the present invention is added without any treatment for the oil. The degradation state of the engine oil is inspected at 165,000 km. It is confirmed that the dirtness has not changed but the viscosity remains.
[0017] An additional 300 milliliters of the engine oil degradation inhibitor is added. The degradation state of the engine oil is inspected at 170,000 km. The sludge becomes fairly thin and the color changes to caramel, and thus viscosity state is close to that at the oil change
Example 2
[0018] Four (4) liters of the engine oil of a vehicle with the mileage of 155,000 km is changed, and then the degradation state is inspected at 158,000 km. The engine oil is slightly dirty. 300 milliliters of the engine oil degradation inhibitor of the present invention is added without any treatment for the oil. The degradation state of the engine is inspected at 168,000 km. It is confirmed that the sludge is barely recognizable and viscosity remains.
[0019] An additional 300 milliliters of the engine oil degradation inhibitor is added. The degradation state of the engine oil is inspected at 178,000 km. It is confirmed that the color and viscosity remain in the state at the oil change. Judging from the examples, the inhibitor has effect on regeneration and life extension of the engine oil. The effect is maintained for 2-4 times when the normal oil change interval is 5,000 km. It is confirmed that functionality of the engine itself improves, fuel economy also improves, and the discharge of toxic gases such as NOx reduces.
[0020] As mentioned above, according to the present invention, the effect of adding the engine oil degradation inhibitor is effective for 2-4 times more than the normal oil change interval. Thus, the oil change work is significantly reduced the transportation business, which produces a huge economical results.
