BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] (1) Field of the Invention
[0005] The present invention generally relates to a sports glove. More particularly, the present invention relates to "a golf glove with durability, sweat resistance, better breathability, and better grip".
[0006] (2) Background of the Invention
[0007] Gloves are very important for playing golf efficiently, as they provide better grip and hold on the golf dub, thus allowing shots with efficiency and perfection. Perspiration on the skin surface of the hands inside of gloves is a common issue. Some people perspire a lot. Sweat inside of gloves causes discomfort, as well as affects the grip on the golf club. Hence, beside providing better grip, it is important that gloves also reduce the amount of sweat formed inside of the glove. The sweat is commonly evaporated from the skin surface by air circulating around the skin. Gloves may be made with material with breathability and air permeability. Breathability is the ability of a material to allow moisture vapor to be transmitted through the material. Air permeability is the ability of a material to allow air to pass through it. Also, for longer use, the gloves should also be durable. There are various golf gloves that provide one or the other of these above features. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,390,372 A, issued to Shinichi Hata on Feb. 21, 1995, discloses a golf glove made of leather and mesh-cloth. It is positioned on the part of the glove body corresponding to the palm of the hand and four fingers, excluding the thumb, to prevent slippage when the glove is wet with sweat. Similarly, U.S. Pat Application No. 20130061369 A1 discusses a golf glove that provides enhanced frictional force between the golf glove and the grip of a golf club by providing a cut portion formed in the bottom of the knuckle portion of the finger part. However, these gloves suffer from one or more issues. Hence, there is a need for a glove for golf that is durable, provides good grip, and provides effective resolution of development of sweat inside gloves.
[0008] It is an aspect of the invention to overcome or alleviate a problem of the prior art,
[0009] This Permits the use of the present invention, which enhances the prior art of the golf glove by providing durability, sweat resistance, better breathability, and better grip.
SUMMARY Of THE INVENTION
[0010] In view of the foregoing, one aspect of the various disclosed embodiments of the present invention is to provide a golf glove with durability, sweat resistance, better breathability, and better grip.
[0011] Preferably, the golf glove addresses, or at least ameliorates, one or more of the problems described above. To this end, the present invention, related to a golf glove, with some unique aspects is disclosed.
[0012] Accordingly, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a golf glove with an inner layer that is made of a sweat resistant material and an outer layer that is made of a durable material.
[0013] It is another objective of the present invention that the golf glove has better breathability (or high air permeability) for providing air to the hand inside of the glove. The golf glove may have openings to allow airflow to enter the glove. The golf glove may also have pockets with only a thin breathable material as a covering, to allow airflow to enter the glove.
[0014] It is yet another objective of the present invention that the golf glove has better grip. The golf glove may have raised textures in the palm part for better gripping.
[0015] Other objectives of the present invention will become apparent, from time to time, throughout the specification, as hereinafter related.

[0024] Aspects of the present inventive subject matter are described with reference to the figures provided herein.
[0025] The present invention provides a glove for the left hand of a right-handed golfer, although, alternatively, a glove for the right hand of a left-handed golfer may be provided, or a pair of gloves may be provided. The golf glove of the present invention has a hand shaped body with a palm region, a back hand region, four finger regions, a thumb region, and an opening defined by the palm region and the back hand region at an opposite side of the four fingers regions to receive a hand. The golf glove further has an inner layer and an outer layer, both of which cooperatively form the hand shaped body. The inner layer is made of a sweat resistant material, and the outer layer is made of a durable material. It is preferred that the inner layer is made of polyester, and the outer layer is made of leather. The outer layer made of leather resists wear and tear, making the glove long lasting. The glove preferably weighs 1/10 pound. Furthermore, the glove is available in a variety of sizes for different sized hands.
[0026] FIG. 1 shows the back hand region of the golf glove. The golf glove has air pockets on each of the four finger regions and the thumb region. Furthermore, there is a plurality of air pockets 1 on the back hand region of the glove. The air pockets on the back hand region may be triangular, circular or square shaped. It is preferred that the air pockets are spaced half an inch apart from the each other 2. Furthermore, it is preferred that the air pockets are triangular 3, with each side a quarter inch in length. Leather is not present over the air pockets, and a very thin layer of material covers the air pockets. The glove may also have openings 4 at the joints of the fingers and thumb. The openings at the joints of the fingers, along with the air pockets, provides effective air permeability and evaporation of hand perspiration from the skin surface, thus allowing development of less sweat inside the glove. Furthermore, the inner layer of polyester also provides better sweat resistance. Thus, the glove provides better breathability and air permeability. In certain aspects, the glove has both air pockets and openings at joints. In certain other aspects, the glove has air pockets and does not have openings at joints. In certain aspects, the glove has openings at joints, and does not have air pockets. In certain other aspects, the spacing between the fingers of the glove may have thin material to provide better hold on the golf club. One or more logo straps 5 can be attached to the glove. It is preferred that the logo strap is attached to the bottom of the glove on its back hand region.
[0027] FIG. 2 shows an exemplary representation of a golf glove. The golf glove has a grip made of raised textures 6 on the surface of the fingertip region of the glove. The raised textures are preferably swirl shaped. The swirl shaped grip provides better grip on the golf club, thereby preventing the golf club from slipping, and, hence, help play shots efficiently. In certain aspects, the glove may also have raised texture over the palm region.
