Abstract:
"The Original Blinket" has two very unique features and each feature has
its own unique use. These two features make "The Original Blinket"
different from any other item that exists. "The Original Blinket" has a
strategically placed flap opening that allows you to still being able to
view all of your surroundings and even watch television while your head
is underneath covers. "The Original Blinket" customized layout and
exclusive construction uses two fabric panels overlapping one another,
which are strategically stitched together. This creates an opening for
your leg to vent comfortably while still underneath "The Original
Blinket". When you're not laying down underneath "The Original Blinket"
you are able to turn it upside down and use in poncho form. The leg vent
now becomes an opening for your head as you place "The Original Blinket"
over your shoulders. The strategically placed flap then allows for full
use of your hands.Claims:
1. I Michael Edward Coombs, claim that the strategically placed eye flap
on the fabric, allows you to watch television and or view your
surroundings, while still keeping warm underneath your covers. I also
claim that the strategically placed overlapping fabrics create a slot or
opening, allowing you to stick your leg out while still staying
underneath your covers if experiencing a hot flash.Description:
[0001] Have you ever been laying underneath your covers but still wanted
to be able to watch television and even view your surroundings? Have you
ever been laying underneath your covers and cant decide if you are hot or
cold, thus causing a hot flash? If you answered yes to either or both of
these questions, I now have a solution for you. Let me introduce to you
"The Original Blinket"!
[0002] The Original Blinket is a multi-use transformable blanket and wearable poncho in one. What makes "The Original Blinket" unique is its strategically placed flap opening (5) which opens and closes allowing you to view your surroundings or even watch television, while still underneath your covers. Another special feature of "The Original Blinket" is the customized layout and exclusive construction, which creates a slotted opening, (4) allowing a more comfortable way to vent your leg; for those of you who prefer to sleep or relax with one leg out.
[0003] When ready to transform "The Original Blinket" into a wearable poncho, simply turn "The Original Blinket" upside down and place your head through the leg vent. (4) "The Original Blinket" will then lay comfortably over your shoulders. (3a)(3b) Once you have "The Original Blinket" placed over your shoulders, (3a)(3b) in poncho form, the strategically placed eye flap (5) now becomes an opening for your hands. (5) This opening (5) allows full use of your hands while staying warm in "The Original Blinket"-perfect for gamers holding controllers or even snacking.
[0004] When viewing the drawings and diagram of "The Original Blinket" you are viewing it as if "The Original Blinket" was laying out on a flat surface. Panel (1) partially overlaps Panel (2). Panel (1) and Panel (2) are then stitched together in an L shape (3a) and in a reversed L shape (3b). By overlapping Panel (1) and Panel (2) and only partially stitching or sewing the panels together (3a)(3b), this creates the unique slotted opening (4) as shown in diagram. The other unique feature of "The Original Blinket" is the strategically placed flap opening (5) on Panel (1). The flap opening (5) is created by cutting only three sides of a rectangle, thus creating the open and closable flap (5). The strategically placed flap opening (5) allows you to be able to view all of your surroundings and even watch television while still experiencing the comfort of "The Original Blinket".
[0005] The following will explain the three different views of The Original Blinket. (FIG. 1) is the (Clear/See Thru/Overlaying View). Panel (1) (FIG. 1) partially overlaps Panel (2) (FIG. 1). Panel (1) (FIG. 1) and Panel (2) (FIG. 1) are stitched together in an "L" shape (3a)(FIG. 1) and in a reversed "L" shape (3b)(FIG. 1). By overlapping Panel(1) (FIG. 1) and Panel(2) (FIG. 1) and only stitching partially (3a)(FIG. 1) and (3b) (FIG. 1) creates the unique slotted leg opening (4)(FIG. 1). On Panel (1) (FIG. 1) you can notice the eye flap opening (5)(FIG. 1).
[0006] (FIG. 2) is the (FRONT VIEW) of The Original Blinket. Panel (1)(FIG. 2) overlaps on top of Panel (2)(FIG. 2). Panel (1) (FIG. 2) and Panel (2) (FIG. 2) are only partially stitched together as seen (FIG. 2) (3a) and (FIG. 2) (3b). By only stitching partially together, this creates the strategically placed leg slot/opening (4)(FIG. 2). On Panel (1) (FIG. 2) you will notice the strategically placed eye flap opening (5) (FIG. 2). Eye flap (5) (FIG. 2) allows you to watch television while still keeping warm underneath your covers.
[0007] (FIG. 3) is the (BACK VIEW) of The Original Blinket. Very similar to above views. Panel (1)(FIG. 3) is laid underneath Panel(2) (FIG. 3) in this view. Panel (2) (FIG. 3) is stitched on top of Panel (1) (FIG. 3). Stitching can be seen in an "L" shape (3b) (FIG. 3) and in a reversed "L" shape pattern (3a) (FIG. 3). By only partially stitching Panel (1) (FIG. 3) and Panel (2)(FIG. 3) together, creates the leg slot opening (4)(FIG. 3). On Panel (1)(FIG. 3) you can see the strategically placed eye flap opening (5) (FIG. 3). This eye flap/opening (5) (FIG. 3) allows you to view your surroundings while keeping warm underneath the comfort of your covers.
