Abstract:
A floor scuff removal device consisting of an elongated hollow tube
having an angle cut end for applying friction to the scuff for removal.
Angle cut end is partially and permanently filled with flat area for
applying self-adhesive removable cloth pad. Area of angle cut end not
covered by previously mentioned flat area may be used for scraping scuff
when needed.Claims:
1. A floor cleaning device particularly for cleaning floors of scuff
marks by friction provided by operator.
2. A hollow tube with one end having an angular cut and opposite end having straight cut, angular cut has a permanent flat insert for applying a scuff removing self-adhesive replaceable cloth pad, straight end has a permanent threaded connector for attaching to a handle.
3. Angle cut end may be used for scraping stubborn scuff marks.
Description:
[0001] The present invention relates generally to manually utilized
cleaning devices particularly for cleaning floors of scuff marks by
friction provided by operator. The device is an elongated hollow tube
with a straight cut end for attaching to a elongated handle and an angle
cut at the scuff removing end. The angled end is partially filled with a
permanently attached flat area for application of a removable adhesive
cloth pad for scuff removal. The angled end is cut at the proper angle
for the operator to be standing in an upright postion after ataching to
an elongated handle. The area of the angle cut not covered by the
permanently attached flat area is left open to provide for a scraper for
more stubborn scuff marks. The straight cut area of the device can
connect to an elongated handle by means of threaded insert, screwed,
bolted or glued.

[0002] FIG. 1
[0003] Illustrates working end of tool having angled end partially and permanently filled with flat area.
[0004] FIG. 1A
[0005] Illustrates partially and permanently filled flat area for placement of self adhesive removable cloth pad for removing scuff marks.
[0006] FIG. 1B
[0007] Illustrates open area of angled end for use as a scraping tool for removing scuff marks or other debris.
[0008] FIG. 2
[0009] Illustrates straight end of tool having flat insert with opening for attaching to handle by means of inserted threaded rod, bolting, screwing, or gluing.
[0010] FIG. 3
[0011] Illustrates proper use of using tool for scuff removal. Flat angled area with cloth pad attached is placed level with floor. Operator uses friction by rubbing pad over scuff mark. Elongated handle is shown for Illustration purposes only.
[0012] FIG. 4
[0013] Illustrates proper use of using tool for scraping. Flat angled area with cloth pad attached is placed on the floor in the up postion allowing use of open area of angled end to be used as scraper Elongated handle is shown for Illustration purposes only.
