Cover up for trousers

Abstract

A cover up for trousers comprises a piece of clothing having two cover up legs, and wherein each of the cover up leg is configured so as to wrap around a front portion and side portions of a user's legs. The cover up for trousers has a plurality of hook or loop straps to tie it around a user's legs, and releasably attach onto complementary hook or loop attachment patches.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates generally to clothing but more particularly to a cover up for trousers.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Certain types of work are quite dirtying and can ruin clothing. It can be inconvenient and expensive to buy work clothes having a very short lifespan. Therefore, many types of coverall have been developed over the years to protect clothing. Unfortunately, many types of coveralls can be cumbersome to wear and rather hot as well. There needs to be a better solution.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known devices now present in the prior art, the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide objects and advantages which are:

[0004] To provide for a cover all for trousers that covers the front and the sides of standard trousers and that can be attached using hook and loop straps for easily putting them on and off.

[0005] In order to do so, the invention comprises a piece of clothing having two cover up legs, and wherein each of the cover up leg is configured so as to wrap around a front portion and side portions of a user's legs. The cover up for trousers has a plurality of hook or loop straps to tie it around a user's legs, and releasably attach onto complementary hook or loop attachment patches.

[0006] In a preferred embodiment, there is at least one cargo pocket.

[0007] In yet another preferred embodiment, there is at least one opening for reaching into a user's pant pocket.

[0008] In still another embodiment, there is at least one utility loop to hang a tool therefrom.

[0009] In still another embodiment, there is a zipper opening to reach into a pant pocket.

[0010] The invention is preferably for use in combination with a user;s trousers.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0019] A cover up for trousers (10) consists in a piece of clothing having two cover up legs (12). Each cover up leg (12) has enough material to wrap around the front and sides of a user's regular trousers (14), leaving the back of the user's regular trousers (14) exposed.

[0020] The cover up legs (12) have a plurality of hook or loop straps (16) to tie the cover up for trousers (10) around a user's regular trousers (14), and releasably attach onto complementary hook or loop attachment patches (17). The cover up for trousers (10) has at least one cargo pocket (18), at least one opening (20) to reach through to pant pockets (not shown), and at least one utility loop (22) to hang tools therefrom. There is a zipper opening (24) to reach to the pant's (14) zipper (not shown)

[0021] Certain optional features are purely for aesthetic such as fake waist button (26) and belt straps (27). The fabric is sturdy and easy to clean. There are of course many types of printed designs and corporate logos (such as hardware store or tool companies) that can be printed on the cover up for trousers (10).

[0022] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Claims

1. A cover up for trousers consisting in a piece of clothing having two cover up legs; each said cover up leg configured so as to wrap around a front portion and side portions of a user's legs; said cover up for trousers having a plurality of hook or loop straps to tie said cover up for trousers around a user's legs and releasably attach onto complementary hook or loop attachment patches.

2. The cover up for trousers of claim 1 wherein there is at least one cargo pocket.

3. The cover up for trousers of claim 1 wherein there is at least one opening for reaching into a user's pant pocket.

4. The cover up for trousers of claim 1 wherein there is at least one utility loop to hang a tool therefrom.

5. The cover up for trousers of claim 1 wherein there is a zipper opening to reach into a pant pocket.

6. A combination of short or long trousers with a cover up for trousers comprising a user's trousers covered with said cover up for trousers wherein consists in a piece of clothing having two cover up legs; each said cover up leg configured so as to wrap around a front portion and side portions of a user's trousers; said cover up for trousers having a plurality of hook or loop straps to tie said cover up for trousers around a user's trousers and releasably attach onto complementary hook or loop attachment patches.

7. The combination of short or long trousers with a cover up for trousers of claim 6 wherein there is at least one cargo pocket.

8. The combination of short or long trousers with a cover up for trousers of claim 6 wherein there is at least one opening for reaching into a user's pant pocket.

9. The combination of short or long trousers with a cover up for trousers of claim 6 wherein there is at least one utility loop to hang a tool therefrom.

10. The combination of short or long trousers with a cover up for trousers of claim 6 wherein there is a zipper opening to reach into a pant pocket.
