BEST MODE
[0023] Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, as follows. However, the present invention not limited to the exemplary embodiments disclosed below, but can be implemented in various types. Therefore, the present exemplary embodiments are provided to completely disclose the present invention and to fully inform the scope of the present invention to those ordinarily skilled in the art. In the accompanying drawings, the dimensions of elements may be exaggerated or diminished for the sake of convenience of description. For example, the sizes and thicknesses of the respective elements shown in the drawings are optionally shown for the sake of convenience of description, and thus the present invention is not necessarily defined as shown in the drawings.
[0024] In the following exemplary embodiments, the x axis, the y axis and the z axis are not defined by three axes on the orthogonal coordinate system, and may be interpreted in a broad sense encompassing these axes. For example, the x axis, the y axis and the z axis may represent directions which may be perpendicular to each other but different directions which are not perpendicular to each other.
[0025] Meanwhile, it will be understood that when it is assumed that various elements such as layers, films, regions, or hoards are disposed "on" other elements, they can be directly disposed on the other elements or intervening elements may also be present therebetween.
[0026] A front direction refers to a+x-axial direction, a rear direction refers to a-x-axial direction, an upward direction refers to a+z-axial direction, and a downward direction refers to a-z-axial direction. Also, a front surface of a storage closet refers to a surface of the storage closet which faces a human being to place or remove articles such as books. Referring to FIG. 1, the front surface of the storage closet refers to a surface of the storage closet positioned in a+x-axial direction, as viewed from the center of the storage closet. Also, a rear surface of the storage closet refers to a surface opposite to the front surface of the storage closet. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described based on these directions.
[0027] FIG. 1 is a perspective view schematically showing a storage closet implemented by a storage closet assembly according to one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a partially enlarged view schematically showing a portion of the storage closet shown in FIG. 1.
[0028] A storage closet assembly according to this exemplary embodiment includes a storage panel 20, two lateral panels 30, a first combination part 41, and a second combination part 42. Of course, the storage closet assembly may optionally further include a back panel 10 positioned at a rear surface of the storage closet and combined with the lateral panels 30, as shown. Also, the storage closet assembly may include a plurality of storage panels 20.
[0029] The storage panel 20 has a shape extending in one direction (a+y-axial direction) to have a first major axis LA and a minor axis SA perpendicular to the major axis LA. Various articles such as books may be placed on the storage panel 20. Such a storage panel 20 may be configured so that a surface (hereinafter referred to as an upper surface 20a) of the storage panel 20 on which books are placed has a variable slope. That is, the slope of the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 on which books are placed is adjustable so that the slope is maintained horizontally or inclined with respect to the minor axis SA (for example, the x axis). For example, the storage panel 20 is in the form of a flat plate having a constant thickness as shown, and may be inclined so that the flat panel moves downward in a front or rear direction. The adjustment of the slope of the storage panel 20 will be described below.
[0030] The two lateral panels 30 may be formed as sidewalls of the storage closet, and may extend in a+z-axial direction. Here, the two lateral panels 30 may continuously extend in a+z-axial direction, as shown in FIG. 1. However, when there are the plurality of storage panels 20, the two lateral panels 30 may intermittently extend in the +z-axial direction so that the two lateral panels 30 are disposed between the storage panels 20, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Such lateral panels 30 may support the storage panel 20 when combined with the storage panel 20.
[0031] The first combination part 41 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20, and thus has a first plate 41a and a first combination plate 41b. The first plate 41a of the first combination part 41 has a first through-hole 41a1 and a second through-hole 41a2. In this case, the first through-hole 41a1 extends in one direction, and the second through-hole 41a2 extends in a direction intersecting with the one direction of the first through-hole 41a1. The first combination plate 41b is perpendicular to the first plate 41a, and thus the first combination part 41 may have a bent shape, as shown in FIG. 2.
[0032] Such a first combination part 41 may be combined with the storage panel 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Specifically, the first combination part 41 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20 so that the first plate 41a corresponds to a first section of an end surface ES intersecting with the major axis LA of the storage panel 20. Here, the first plate 41a corresponding to the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 may mean that the first plate 41a comes in contact with the end surface ES of the storage panel 20, and may also mean that the first plate 41a is spaced apart at a predetermined distance from the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 but a surface of the first plate 41a is directed toward the end surface ES of the storage panel 20. Also, the first section of the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 may, for example, be a rear portion (a portion in a-x-axial direction) of the end surface ES of the storage panel 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
[0033] The fixing of the first combination part 41 onto the storage panel 20 may be carried out using various methods. For example, an opening is formed in the first combination plate 41b of the first combination part 41. In this case, the first combination part 41 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20 by allowing a screw or the like to pass the first combination plate 41b through the opening so that the first combination plate 41b is coupled to a lower surface 20b of the storage panel 20. In some cases, of course, the first combination part 41 does not have the first combination plate 41b, but has only the first plate 41a, and an opening is formed in the first plate 41a. In this case, the first combination part 41 may also be fixed onto the storage panel 20 by flowing a screw or the like to pass the first plate 41a through the opening so that the first plate 41a is coupled to the end surface ES of the storage panel 20.
[0034] When the first combination part 41 is combined with the storage panel 20, the first through-hole 41a1 has a shape extending in a direction of the minor axis SA (a+x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20, and the second through-hole 41a2 has a shape extending upward (in a+z-axial direction) from the first through-hole 41a1.
[0035] The second combination part 42 may also be fixed onto the storage panel 20. In this case, the second combination part 42 has a second plate 42a and a second combination plate 42b, The second plate 42a of the second combination part 42 has a third through-hole 42a3. In this case, the third through-hole 42a3 extends in one direction. The second combination plate 42b is perpendicular to the second plate 42a, and thus the second combination part 42 may have a bent shape, as shown in FIG. 2.
[0036] Such a second combination part 42 may be combined with the storage panel 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. Specifically, the second combination part 42 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20 so that the second plate 42a corresponds to a second section of the end surface ES intersecting with the major axis LA of the storage panel 20. Here, the second plate 42a corresponding to the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 may mean that the second plate 42a comes in contact With the end surface ES of the storage panel 20, and also mean that the second plate 42a is spaced apart at a predetermined distance from the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 but a surface of the second plate 42a is directed toward the end surface ES of the storage panel 20. Also, the second section of the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 may, for example, be a front portion (a portion in a+x-axial direction) of the end surface ES of the storage panel 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
[0037] The fixing of the second combination part 42 onto the storage panel 20 may be carried out using various methods. For example, an opening is formed in the second combination plate 42b of the second combination part 42. In this case, the second combination part 42 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20 by allowing a screw or the like to pass the second combination plate 42b through the opening so that the second combination plate 42b is coupled to the lower surface 20b of the storage panel 20. In some cases, of course, the second combination part 42 does not have the second combination plate 42b, but has only the second plate 42a, and an opening is formed in the second plate 42a. In this case, the second combination part 42 may be fixed onto the storage panel 20 by allowing a screw or the like to pass the second plate 42a through the opening so that the second plate 42a is coupled to the end surface ES of the storage panel 20.
[0038] When the second combination part 42 is combined with the storage panel 20, the third through-hole 42a3 has a shape extending in a direction of the minor axis SA (a+x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20.
[0039] When the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 are combined with the storage panel 20, a first fixture 51 may be inserted into a hole of the lateral panel 30 through the first through-hole 41a1 or the second through-hole 41a2 of the first combination part 41, and a second fixture 52 may be inserted into a hole of the lateral panel 30 through the third through-hole 42a3 of the second combination part 42 so that the storage panel 20 is supported by the lateral panels 30, as shown in FIG. 1. In this way, of course, a plurality of holes into which the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are able to be inserted may be formed in the facing surfaces of the two lateral panels 30.
[0040] FIGS. 3 and 4 are conceptual diagrams schematically illustrating an operating principle of the storage closet shown in FIG. 1. The storage closet assembled into the storage closet assembly according to this exemplary embodiment thus configured may be usually used in a state in which the first fixture 51 is positioned inside the first through-hole 41a1 of the first combination part 41 and the second fixture 52 is positioned inside the third through-hole 42a3 of the second combination part 42. In this case, the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 may be a horizontal state, that is, may be positioned in an xy plane.
[0041] In such a state, a user moves the storage panel 20 to a forward direction of a bookcase (in a+x-axial direction), a relative position of the first fixture 51 with respect to the first through-hole 41a1 moves to a backward direction (in a-x-axial direction) of the first through-hole 41a1 in the first through-hole 41a1. Then, the first fixture 51 is connected to the first through-hole 41a1 to be positioned in the second through-hole 41a2 extending upward, as shown in FIG. 4. Therefore, the storage panel 20 may be inclined accordingly as the storage panel 20 moves downward in a rear direction (a-x-axial direction). A front portion (a+x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 is shown in FIG. 4 as if the front portion of the storage panel 20 is lifted upward (in a+z-axial direction), but is shown in this way for the sake of convenience of drawing. Actually, a rear portion (a-x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 is allowed to move downward (in a-z-axial direction).
[0042] As described above, the storage panel 20 may be readily handled to easily adjust a layout pattern of the storage panel in the case of the bookcase according to this exemplary embodiment. That is, the storage panel 20 may be used as a conventional storage closet since the storage panel 20 is supported by the lateral panels 30 in a substantially horizontal state. Also, the storage panel 20 may also be used as a modified storage closet since the storage panel 20 is supported by the lateral panels 30 in a state in which the storage panel 20 is inclined to move down in a rear direction (a-x-axial direction).
[0043] In the case of the latter, when books are put on the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20, the books may be inclined backward. As a result, the books may be prevented from falling forward from the bookcase due to external impacts, etc. In particular, when the books are put on the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 and other books are laid on upper surfaces of the books, the books lying on the upper surfaces of the books may also be inclined backward in the storage closet. Therefore, when a book lying under the books is removed, the books lying on the upper surfaces of the books have a significantly low risk of falling forward from the storage closet. Of course, when a book to be removed among the books put on the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 is removed, the inclined storage panel 20 may effectively prevent the hooks adjacent to the book from coming in contact with the book to be removed and thus from moving or falling forward together.
[0044] Also, when the storage panel 20 is used as the conventional storage closet since the storage panel 20 is supported by the lateral panels 30 in a substantially horizontal state, the storage panel 20 preferably has a larger length in a+x-axial direction than the books so as to allow the storage panel 20 to stably support the books. However, when the storage panel 20 moves down in a rear direction, the books lean backward due to the gravity. As a result, the books may be stably put on the storage closet even when the storage panel 20 has a shorter length in a+x-axial direction than the books. That is, when the storage panel 20 is inclined backward as necessary, the books having a larger length in a+x-axial direction than the storage panel 20 may also be effectively stored in the storage panel 20, and the length in the +x-axial direction of the storage panel 20 may be shorter than those of conventional storage panels. Therefore, the storage closet according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention may have a decreased length in a+x-axial direction, and thus may have a decreased total volume, thereby saving a space for the storage closet and making effective use of the space.
[0045] Heretofore, a case in which the storage panel 20 is transformed from a horizontal state to an inclined state by the user's intention has been described, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the storage panel 20 is normally in a horizontal state, but when external impacts such as earthquakes are applied, the storage panel 20 is automatically transformed into an inclined state due to the external impacts. Therefore, the storage panel 20 may be used as a storage closet capable of effectively preventing articles such as books stored in the storage panel 20 from falling forward (in a+x-axial direction). That is, when the impacts are applied from the outside, the storage closet and/or the storage panel 20 is shaken by the impacts. As a result, the first fixture 51 may be allowed to move from an inner space of the first through-hole 41a1 to an inner space of the second through-hole 41a2 so that the storage panel 20 is automatically transformed from a horizontal state to an inclined state, thereby effectively preventing the articles such as books stored in the storage panel 20 from falling forward (in a+x-axial direction).
Mode for Invention
[0046] Meanwhile, in the case of the storage closet according to this exemplary embodiment, the second through-hole 41a2 may extend upward from an end of the first through-hole 41a1 in a direction of the minor axis SA thereof when the first combination part 41 is fixed onto the storage panel 20, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4. In particular, the second through-hole 41a2 may extend upward from a rear end (a-x-axial direction) of the first through-hole 41a1. Hereinafter, such a configuration will be described as follows.
[0047] When a book is removed from the storage panel 20, the book is not removed in a state in which the book comes in contact with the storage panel 20, but is generally removed in a state in which the book is separated from the storage panel 20. As a result, the storage panel 20 is unlikely to move in this process. However, since the book is pushed in a state in which a bottom surface of the book comes in contact with the storage panel 20 when the book is placed on the storage panel 20, a force is applied to the storage panel 20 in this process, and thus the storage panel 20 is relatively likely to move.
[0048] A direction of the force applied to the storage panel 20 when the book is put into the storage panel 20 may refer to a rear direction (a-x-axial direction). Therefore, when the second through-hole 41a2 has a shape extending upward from a front end (a+x-axial direction) of the first through-hole 41a1, the first fixture 51 is positioned inside the first through-hole 41a1 to maintain the storage panel 20 in a horizontal state. Then, as the storage panel 20 is pushed backward (in a-x-axial direction), the first fixture 51 is allowed to move into the second through-hole 41a2, and thus the storage panel 20 may be inclined regardless of the user's intention. However, this occurrence of situation may be effectively prevented by forcing the second through-hole 41a2 to extend upward from the rear end (a-x-axial direction) of the first through-hole 41a1.
[0049] Meanwhile, the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 do not need to be fixed on the storage panel 20 in states as shown in FIGS. 2 to 4. As shown in FIG. 5 which is a conceptual diagram schematically showing a portion of the storage closet implemented by the storage closet assembly according to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are not positioned on a top surface (a+z-axial direction) of the storage panel 20, but may be positioned on a bottom surface (a-z-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 so that the first fixture 51 passes through the first through-hole 41a1 or the second through-hole 41a2 and the second fixture 52 passes through the third through-hole 42a3. Of course, in this case, the second through-hole 41a2 also has a shape extending upward (in a+z-axial direction) from a rear end of the first through-hole 41a1 extending in one direction (an x-axial direction). Therefore, the storage panel 20 may be in a horizontal state when the first fixture 51 is positioned inside the first through-hole 41a1, and the storage panel 20 may be in an inclined state in which a rear portion (a-x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 is positioned downward (in a-z-axial direction) from a front portion (a+x-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 when the first fixture 51 is positioned inside the second through-hole 41a2.
[0050] A portion of the first fixture 51 and a portion of the second fixture 52 may protrude from the first plate 41a of the first combination part 41 and the second plate 42a of the second combination part 42 in a direction of the storage panel 20. In this case, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, when the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are positioned on the top surface (a+z-axial direction) of the storage panel 20, the storage panel 20 comes in contact with stored articles, resulting in damaged stored articles. This is because the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are positioned close to the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20.
[0051] However, in the case of the storage closet assembly according to this exemplary embodiment as shown in FIG. 5, the stored articles cannot be damaged even when a portion of the first fixture 51 and a portion of the second fixture 52 protrude from the first plate 41a of the first combination part 41 and the second plate 42a of the second combination part 42 in a direction of the storage panel 20. In the case of the storage closet assembly according to this exemplary embodiment as shown in FIG. 5, the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are positioned on the bottom surface (a-z-axial direction) of the storage panel 20 in the assembled storage closet. In this case, the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are positioned close to the lower surface 20b of the storage panel 20. Generally, since the stored article on the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 does not reach the vicinity of the lower surface 20b of the storage panel 20 placed above the stored article, the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 are highly unlikely to come in contact with the stored articles on the storage panel 20, and thus the occurrence of problems such as damage of the stored article ay be prevented.
[0052] FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged view schematically showing a portion of the storage closet implemented by the storage closet assembly according to still another exemplary embodiment of the present invention. In this case of the storage closet assembly according to this exemplary embodiment, the storage panel 20 has grooves ES1 and ES2 formed in an end surface ES thereof that the first combination plate 41b of the first combination part 41 and the second combination plate 42b of the second combination part 42 can be inserted into the grooves ES1 and ES2. Therefore, when the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 are fixed onto the storage panel 20, the first combination plate 41b may be inserted into the grove ES1 of the storage panel 20, and the second combination plate 42b may be inserted into the groove ES2 of the storage panel 20.
[0053] Of course, in this case, the first through-hole 41a1 and the second through-hole 41a2 the first combination part 41, and the third through-hole 42a3 of the second combination part 42 may be positioned on the upper surface 20a of the storage panel 20 (in a+z-axial dire o as shown in FIG. 6. As shown in FIG. 7 which is a partially enlarged view schematically showing a portion of the storage closet implemented by the storage closet assembly according to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the first through-hole 41a1 and the second through-hole 41a2 of the first combination part 41, and the third through-hole 42a3 of the second combination part 42 may also be positioned under the lower surface 20b of the storage panel 20 (in a-z-axial direction). In the two cases, descriptions of the first through-hole 41a1 and the second through-hole 41a2 are the same or similar as described above with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, and are as described above with reference to FIG. 5, and thus the descriptions are omitted.
[0054] As described above, when the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 are fixed onto the storage panel 20, the first combination plate 41b may be readily inserted into the groove ES1 of the storage panel 20, and the second combination plate 42b be inserted into the groove ES2 of the storage panel 20. As a result, the storage closet assembly may be assembled in a dramatically simplified manner, compared to methods using a screw, etc.
[0055] Heretofore, a case in which the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 are separated from each other has been described, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, as shown in FIG. 8 which is a perspective view schematically showing one component of the storage closet assembly according to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a combination part 412 having a combination plate 412b in which the first combination plate of the first combination part 41 is formed integrally with the second combination plate of the second combination part 42 may also be used. That is, the combination part 412 has a first plate 41a and a second plate 42a. In this case, the first through-hole 41a1 and the second through-hole 41a2 may be formed in the first plate 41a as described above, and the third through-hole 42a3 may be formed in the second plate 42a as described above. Of course, the first plate 41a and the second plate 42a may extend downward (in a-z-axial direction) or upward (in a+z-axial direction) from the combination plate 412b, as shown in FIG. 8. Even when the first plate 411a and the second plate 42a extend upward (in a+z-axial direction), the second through-hole 41a2 may also extend upward (in a+z-axial direction) from an end of the first through-hole 41a1. When the first combination part 41 is formed integrally with the second combination part 42 as described above, a user may assemble the storage closet in a simpler manner.
[0056] In addition, as shown in FIG. 9 which is a perspective view schematically showing one component of the storage closet assembly according to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the combination part 412 having a plate 412a in which a first plate is also formed integrally with a second plate may be used. Of course, the plate 412a may also extend downward (in a-z-axial direction) or upward (in a+z-axial direction) from the combination plate 412b, as shown in FIG. 9.
[0057] Further, as shown in FIG. 10 which is a perspective view schematically showing one component of the storage closet assembly according to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the integrally formed combination plate 412b may be configured so that a length in an x-axial direction of the combination plate 412b is shorter than a length in an x-axial direction of the integrally formed plate 412a. In this case, when a groove is formed in the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 in a similar manner as described above with reference to FIG. 7 so that the combination part 412 is fixed onto the storage panel 20 as shown in FIG. 10, the length in an x-axial direction of the combination plate 412b may be shorter than the length in an x-axial direction of the integrally formed plate 412a, and thus a length in an x-axial direction of the groove to be formed in the end surface ES of the storage panel 20 may also be shorter than the length in an x-axial direction of the integrally formed plate 412a. Of course, in this case, the plate 412a may also extend downward (in a-z-axial direction) or upward (in a+z-axial direction) from the combination plate 412b, as shown in FIG. 10.
[0058] Meanwhile, as described so far, the first fixture 51 is movable inside the first through-hole 41a1 and the second through-hole 41a2, and the second fixture 52 is movable inside the third through-hole 42a3. Therefore, the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 may have a smaller size than the first through-hole 41a1, the second through-hole 41a2 and the third through-hole 42a3 so that relative positions of the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 with respect to the first through-hole 41a1, the second through-hole 41a2 and the third through-hole 42a3 freely change in the first through-hole 41a1, the second through-hole 41a2 and the third through-hole 42a3. Here, the sizes of the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 may, for example, refer to the maximum thicknesses of portions of the first fixture 51 and the second fixture 52 passing through the first through-hole 41a1, the second through-hole 41a2 and the third through-hole 42a3, and the sizes of the first through-hole 41a1, the second through-hole 41a2 and the third through-hole 42a3 may refer to the sizes of holes in a direction (for example, a z-axial direction shown in FIG. 10) perpendicular to an extension direction (for example, an x-axial direction shown in FIG. 10) of each of the through-holes.
[0059] Heretofore, a case in which the storage closet is generally a bookcase has been described, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the present invention may provide a storage closet for storing playing equipment for children. When the children attempt to remove the playing equipment, adjacent pieces of playing equipment may get caught on each other to move forward and drop on the floor in the case of the conventional storage closet in which the storage panel is in a horizontal state. However, when the storage panel is set to be inclined downward in a rear direction as necessary, the adjacent pieces of playing equipment are not removed together due to the storage panel being inclined backward when the children attempt to remove the playing equipment, thereby dramatically improving safety in children's lives. Of course, the storage closet of the present invention may be used to store various articles in addition to the playing equipment. Also, even when external impacts are applied to the storage closet, a rear portion of the storage panel 20 maintained in a horizontal state is allowed to spontaneously move downward, thereby effectively preventing the playing equipment and the like from falling forward due to the external impacts. For example, in the case of conventional display stands used in grocery stores, human/material damages may be caused as the stored articles fall down due to external impacts such earthquakes. However, when the storage closet according to this exemplary embodiment is used, a rear portion of the storage panel 20 maintained in a horizontal state is allowed to spontaneously move downward even when the external impacts such as earthquakes are applied to the storage panel 20, thereby preventing the stored articles from failing forward and reducing such damages.
[0060] Further, the present invention provides a storage closet with which at least one of the storage panel 20, the lateral panels 30, the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 is combined, and also provides a storage closet set in which the storage panel 20, the lateral panels 30, the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 are separated so that the storage panel 20, the lateral panels 30, the first combination part 41 and the second combination part 42 can be combined with the storage closet.
[0061] Although the present invention has been described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof shown in the accompanying drawings, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the detailed description proposed herein is merely an example for the purpose of illustrations only, and various modifications and their equivalents could be made thereto without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, it should be understood that the scope of the prevent invention is defined not by the detailed description, but by the appended claims and their equivalents.
