Abstract:
The invention is a rolled paper towel dispenser with the distinct purpose
of housing rolled paper towel products while being engineered to support
the manual unfurling of said paper towel products to be severed from the
dispenser for immediate usage.
There are three essential parts to the invention: A main body with
equal sides consisting of cut out grooves to hold a housing rod that
holds paper towel products. Finally a hinged cover piece to hold in place
the rolled paper towel while allowing for the even severance of unfurled
paper towels.Claims:
1. A rolled paper towel product dispenser constructed of synthetic
plastics through the combination of; a main housing piece with two equal
sides, each side having equal depth on groove cutouts; placement of a
housing rod into said grooves to allow manual unfurling of rolled paper
towel products; a cover hingedly connected to the main body of the
dispenser via the application of two screws; a thin metallic strip glued
to the front end of the cover for even tearing of rolled paper towel
products upon manual unfurling.Description:
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[0001] This invention pertains to the manual dispensing of rolled paper towel products designed for use in public restrooms, private businesses, schools, etc. Such devices provide a most efficient method in the unfurling of rolled paper towels. This particular design allows for optimum cost efficiency while maintaining ease of use.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0002] This invention allows for a low-cost alternative for the manual dispensing of rolled paper towel products by design for use in public and semipublic towel dispensing locations. Many current designs of paper towel dispensers are engineered with the inclusion of flawed dispensary mechanisms prone to malfunction, rendering the dispenser all but useless. This invention uses a simplified design without possibility of malfunction in the aspect of dispensing rolled paper towels. Loading the dispenser with a rolled paper towel product as well as dispensing said paper towel product can be completed at optimum efficiency using a simple, yet effective, tearing mechanism.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
[0003] FIG. 1
[0004] This figure shows the direct front view of the invention without a rolled paper product loaded onto the housing rod which will be described in detail upon further reading.
[0005] FIG. 2
[0006] This figure shows an isometric front-left view of the invention with illustration including example of rolled paper towel product loaded onto housing rod.
[0007] FIG. 3
[0008] This figure shows a direct front view of the invention without illustration of housing rod locked into the grooves on the sides of the piece with rolled paper towel. This view allows for an unobstructed view of the invention with ability to understand the simplicity of how it is constructed using minimal supplies.
[0009] FIG. 4
[0010] This figure shows a side-view of the invention for an illustration of how a groove made into either side of the dispenser allows for the housing rod to be simply locked into place with or without a rolled paper towel product in place.
[0011] FIG. 5
[0012] This figure is a front view of the housing rod used to support rolled paper towel products before being locked into the dispenser.
REFERENCE TO NUMBERED OBJECTS OF FIGS. 1-5
[0013] 1) Item 1 (FIG. 1) depicts the "saw" mechanism that is glued to the front of the top section of the dispenser for the function of evenly tearing a rolled paper towel product upon manual dispensing.
[0014] 2) Item 2 (FIG. 1) depicts a round piece of plastic material built on top of the dispenser to allow the top piece to be lifted upwards before loading of rolled paper towels
[0015] 3) Item 3 (FIG. 4) depicts the 9 centimeter.times.3 centimeter grooves cut into the sides of the dispenser to allow fitted placement of the housing rod for allowed rolling of the housing rod in dispensing of rolled paper towels.
[0016] 4) Item 4 (FIG. 3) depicts a 28 centimeter.times.12 centimeter cover block attached to the main body of the dispenser via hinges and screws. This piece lifts upward to allow loading of paper towel products and naturally slides down to cover the paper towel products, allowing even severance by the attached tearing mechanism.
[0017] 5) Item 5 (FIG. 3) are the two hinges that are screwed into Item 4 and item 6 in order to connect the top piece to the body of the dispenser.
[0018] 6) Item 6 (FIG. 3) is the main body of the dispenser. The back piece is connected to two equivalent side pieces for means of housing paper towel products.
[0019] 7) Item 7 (FIG. 5) is the housing rod on which paper towel products may rest. This rod is sized to be fitted into the two grooves of the side pieces to allow a spinning motion for the manual dispensing of the aforementioned paper towel products.
[0020] 8) Item 8 (FIG. 5) are two spherical end pieces at each end of the housing rod purposed for properly holding the housing rod into place inside the grooves of the side pieces.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0021] The invention is one of a simplistic nature consisting of only 6 essential parts. This allows for cost effective, simplistic assemblage, while offering optimum efficiency as a paper towel dispenser. All pieces are to be constructed from synthetic plastics aside from the tearing mechanism and metal hinges.
[0022] The main body of this dispenser referred to as Item 6. This is a plastic piece that acts as housing for the housing rod and paper towel product. It also is used to connect the plastic piece used as a cover for the paper towel products via hinges to allow even tearing. The main body has two equal side pieces with grooves cut out on either side for the housing rod to be placed into securely.
[0023] The cover piece of the dispenser referred to as item 4 connects to the main body of the dispenser via hinges and screws to hold rolled paper towel products in place and allow for proper tearing of rolled paper towels.
[0024] FIG. 2 is formed from synthetic plastic material and is necessary for use in pulling the cover piece in an upright position to allow loading of the housing rod with rolled paper towel product as well.
[0025] The housing rod allows for fitting through the middle of rolled paper towels, while also fitting properly into the main body of the dispenser for ease of access to the rolled paper towels for unfurling.
