WEARABLE GARMENT SIMILAR TO A NECKTIE WITH BEVERAGE HOLDER

Abstract

A wearable garment, similar to a necktie, adapted to carry a canned or bottled beverage in an upright and vertical position. The garment is similar to a necktie in that it has a main body of similar shape and dimensions to a necktie and attaches around the neck of the user with a strap. The garment includes a vertical beverage holder that is combined with the main body of the garment, with a bottom and an opening that faces up, allowing the introduction of a canned or bottled beverage.

Description

BACKGROUND

[0001] Many people enjoy drinking canned or bottled beverages in settings where it is not always convenient to hold the beverage for the length of it's use. Some such settings would be indoor or outdoor parties, camping, football tailgate parties, sporting events, concerts or any leisurely activity which requires the user's hand(s) to be free and available. There is therefore a need for a comfortable, wearable and stylish garment which holds a canned or bottled beverage for the user so that the user's hands are free for other purposes.

SUMMARY

[0002] The present invention includes a wearable garment, similar to a necktie, adapted to carry a beverage in an upright position. The garment is similar to a necktie in that it has a main body portion with securing means combined therewith for securing the garment around the user's neck. The garment includes a beverage holder combined with the main body of the garment. This beverage holder is positioned vertically along the vertical axis of the garment with an open end on the top and closed end on the bottom, allowing the user to insert and remove a beverage bottle or can.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0005] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the invention comprises a wearable garment adapted to carry a canned or bottled beverage in an upright and vertical position. The garment is similar to a necktie in shape and dimension and in that it comprises a main body (1) having a securing strap (2) which secures the garment to the user's neck. The securing strap may utilize snaps, Velcro like material, clips or other fastening device in order to secure the garment to the user. The securing strap may have adjustment means, adapted to shorten or lengthen the straps, according to the size the user prefers. The strap is generally made from fabric, neoprene or foam.

[0006] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the garment comprises a beverage holder (3) combined with the main body of the invention. The beverage holder is adapted to receive and hold securely a single beverage container, typically a 12 ounce can or bottle, until the user desires to remove the container from the holder. The beverage holder is generally positioned vertically in relation to the vertical axis of the necktie so that it has an opening on the top end and a closed end on the bottom. The beverage holder is generally made of fabric, neoprene or foam and preferably a material that has an insulating quality.

Claims

1. A wearable garment similar to a necktie having a top, bottom, front and back side, said garment comprising: 1.1. a main body portion 1.2. a securing member combined with the main body portion, said securing member adapted to secure the garment around a user's neck; and 1.3. a beverage holder combined with the main body of the garment, parallel to the garment's vertical axis, which holds a canned or bottled beverage in an upright vertical position.
