[0008] 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98

[0009] In the background of the invention, there are various embodiments of the firearms which are used by being leaned against the shoulder and named as infantry firearms, underwater firearms, hunting firearms according to the area of utilization. A standard firearm consists of four main parts which are the mechanism, forend, stock, and barrel. The mechanism part enables to fire and throw the cartridge out. The barrel protected by the forend directs the bullet and the stock reduces the effect of the firearm by providing the firearm being leaned to the shoulder.

[0010] Firearms care is vitally important both for durability and healthy working of the firearm. Therefore, firearms care should be performed before and after shots at determined time intervals. In order to clean the dirty and adherent particles in the firearms, a cleaning oil is used. After drying the cleaning oil, a protective oil is applied onto the entire firearms mechanism and the firearm is dried again. In order to perform the cleaning process, firstly, it is necessary to takedown the firearms mechanism in the receiver of the firearm by taking down the firearm. The firearm mechanism is the most important item that enables the bullet/cartridge in the magazine to be delivered to the muzzle, to be fired via the trigger, and the empty case/shell to be thrown out.

[0011] Detach-reassembly process of a gas semi-automatic smooth bore/firearm bore firearms with a standard magazine or semi-automatic smooth bore/firearm bore firearms with mechanical energy without gas is a long-lasting process requiring expertise. In such type of firearms, lower and upper receiver parts, which receive the firearms mechanism, are fixed each other with connecting elements as pin and latch. In order to detach-reassembly of such type of connecting elements, small tools such as a hammer and nipper are required Taking down a firearms completely, removing the mechanism components inside the receiver, and reassembling after the cleaning process take a long time. For the care of such type of firearm, help should be sought from the experts who are specialized in firearms. Otherwise, misfiring or malfunction of the firearms is in question due to the mistakes made during mounting and cleaning.

[0012] In conclusion, advancements in the detaching-reassembling systems are in progress; thus, novel embodiments that will eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and offer a solution for the existing systems are required.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0053] In this detailed description, preferable embodiments of the takedown-reassembly system of a firearm according to the invention are described only for the better understanding of the subject and will not form any limiting effect.

[0054] This invention relates to the takedown-reassembly system of a firearms applied in semi-automatic smooth bore/firearm bore hunting firearms. FIG. 1 shows a three-dimensional view of the firearms (1) which includes the detaching-reassembly system of a firearms. Said firearms (1) is substantially made up of a firearms mechanism (15) comprising a lower assembly (10) and upper assembly (20) as well as a magazine (30). The lower assembly (10) contains the components such as a lower receiver (11), a pistol grip (12), a stock (13), a trigger (14), a firearms mechanism (15), and a feed ramp (16). FIG. 3 shows a three-dimensional view of the mechanism of lower assembly (15). Upper assembly (20) mechanism contains the components such as an upper receiver (21), a barrel (22), a forend (23), and a front sight (24). FIG. 4 shows a three-dimensional view of the mechanism of upper assembly (20). When the lower receiver (11) and the upper receiver (21) are superimposed with each other, the receiver portion of the firearms (1) is completed.

[0055] The detaching-reassembly system of a firearms according to the invention is connecting method with a slide which is designed on a receiver chamber line (2) that divides the receiver of the firearms (1) in two as the lower receiver (11) and the upper receiver (21). The receiver chamber line (2), as seen in FIG. 1, divides the receiver of the firearms (1) into two parts along a horizontal line parallel to the barrel (22). The receiver chamber line (2) which begins just below the forend (23) of the firearms extends along a horizontal direction to the stock (13) connecting pipe. FIG. 2 shows a three-dimensional view of the firearms (1) in a disassembled manner that it is divided into two parts by the receiver chamber line (2). As illustrated in FIG. 2, when the lower receiver (11) and upper receiver (21) of the firearms (1) which is divided by the receiver chamber line (2) are separated from each other, the firearms mechanism (15) positioned in the inner portion of the lower receiver (11) is completely appeared. Components that allow firing such as a trigger (14), hammer, and pin are found in the firearms mechanism (15).

[0056] In the detaching-reassembly system of a firearms according to the invention, a sliding system is designed for the connection of the lower receiver (11) and the upper receiver (21) to each other in the firearms (1) which is divided into two by the receiver chamber line (2). In FIG. 5, which shows the detailed view of the configuration of sliding connection, a lower female slide (3) region is found on the upper surface of the lower receiver (11) and an upper male slide (5) region is found on the lower surface of the upper receiver (21). Both the upper male slides (5) and the lower female slides (3) are arranged in a double-row parallel to each other on both sides of the firearms mechanism (15). Extractors (6) are found on the upper male slide (5) body that is in protrusion form. Extractor seats (4) are found on the lower female slide (3) body that is in recess form. When the upper receiver (21) and the lower receiver (11) are superimposed with each other, the extractors (6) on the upper male slides (5) settle in the extractor seats (4) on the lower female slides (3). In order to provide a sliding motion, a pivot pin (7) is mounted on the lower receiver (11). Said pivot pin (7) is in connection with the upper male slide (5) and the lower female slide (3). The pivot pin (7) is manually controlled; it is switched by turning 180 degrees clockwise and counter clockwise. In order to be able to turn the pivot pin (7) for taking down the firearms (1), firstly the magazine (30) should be removed. The pivot pin (7) cannot be turned unless the magazine (30) is removed. Therefore, possible accidents are prevented and an advantage is gained in terms of safety.

[0057] The process of detaching and then reassembling of the firearms (1) according to the invention is carried out as follows.

[0058] While the firearms (1) is in complete form as in FIG. 1 and when it is desired to reassemble due to the reasons such as malfunction, care, etc., firstly the magazine (30) is removed as for safety. The pivot pin (7), then, is turned 180 degrees counter clockwise. The pivot pin (7) is in connection with the upper male slide (5) and the lower female slide (3), wherein, when it is turned half round, the upper male slide (5) slides on the lower female slide (3) and as a result of this action, the extractors (6) of the upper male slide (5) disengage from the extractor seats (4) of the lower female slide (3). Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the lower assembly (10) and the upper assembly (20) in the firearms (1) are separated from each other. After the upper assembly (20) and the magazine (30) are disassembled, inner mechanism of the firearms which consists of the parts such as trigger (14), hammer, pin, etc. is completely appeared. After this stage, the user can easily intervene in the mechanism components or demount them. After performing necessary care (clean, greasing, cleaning rod, wiping, drying) or part replacement processes for the firearms (1), it is proceeded with the step of reassembling of the firearms which is already taken down. In this stage, detaching and reassembly process inversely processes. Firstly, the upper receiver (21) of the firearms (1) is settled on the lower receiver (11). Therefore, the upper male slides (5) are introduced into the lower female slides (3). When the pivot pin (7) at this time is turned 180 degrees clockwise, the extractors (6) of the upper male slide (5) are slides into the extractor seats (4) of the lower female slide (3). As a result of the sliding motion, the extractors (6) engage in the extractor seats (4) and thus locking is provided. Then the magazine (30) is mounted and reassembling process is completed.

[0059] On account of the detaching-reassembly system of a firearms according to the invention, it is allowed to lock the smooth bore/firearms bore hunting firearms with a magazine by the sliding system with each other as well as to reassemble from each other when necessary (for firearms care, clean, repair, carriage, etc.). When it is desired to reassemble the firearms (1), to turn the pivot pin (7) and to disengage the extractors (6) of the upper male slide (5) from the extractor seats (4) of the lower female slide (3) by pushing is suffice. By this way, the upper receiver (21) will be disassembled from the lower receiver (11) and the firearms mechanism (15) in lower receiver (11) will become fully accessible. In order to do this, there is no need any tool or help of an expert. Therefore, the process of detaching and reassembling can be performed simply and rapidly without the use of any hand tool. In the system working with a slide, it is not possible to turn the pivot pin (7) and thus to take down the firearms (1) unless the magazine (30) is removed. Therefore, extra safety is provided for possible accidents.
