Abstract:
A cooling fan assembly for replacing a vehicle's radiator cooling fan so
the vehicle's radiator is cooled more efficiently includes a hub that may
be coupled to the vehicle's water pump. A plurality of blades is coupled
to and radiates outwardly from the hub. Each of the plurality of blades
has a twisted shape. The plurality of blades urges air at a high velocity
through the vehicle's radiator when the hub is rotated by the vehicle's
water pump. The assembly improves an efficiency of the vehicle's
radiator.Claims:
1. A cooling fan assembly configured to replace a vehicle's radiator
cooling fan wherein the vehicle's radiator is cooled more efficiently,
said assembly comprising: a hub configured to be coupled to the vehicle's
water pump; and a plurality of blades coupled to and radiating outwardly
from said hub, each of said plurality of blades having a twisted shape
such that said plurality of blades urges air at a high velocity through
the vehicle's radiator when said hub is rotated by the vehicle's water
pump wherein said assembly improves an efficiency of the vehicle's
radiator.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, further comprising said hub having an outer wall extending forwardly from a back wall of said hub.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising said back wall of said hub being coupled to the vehicle's water pump wherein the vehicle's water pump rotates said hub.
4. The assembly according to claim 1, further comprising said plurality of blades each having a coupled end and a free end.
5. The assembly according to claim 4, wherein each of said plurality of blades being twisted along a longitudinal axis extending through said coupled and free ends of each of said plurality of blades.
6. The assembly according to claim 5, further comprising each of said plurality of blades having a front edge and a back edge.
7. The assembly according to claim 6, wherein said free end of each of said plurality of blades being curved between said front and back edges of said plurality of blades wherein said plurality of blades is configured to collect and urge the air at the high velocity when said hub is rotated.
8. The assembly according to claim 7, further comprising said coupled end of said plurality of blades each being coupled to an outer wall of said hub.
9. The assembly according to claim 8, further comprising said plurality of blades being evenly spaced apart and distributed around and entire circumference of said outer wall of said hub.
10. A cooling fan assembly configured to replace a vehicle's radiator cooling fan wherein the vehicle's radiator is cooled more efficiently, said assembly comprising: a hub having an outer wall extending forwardly from a back wall of said hub, said back wall of said hub being coupled to the vehicle's water pump wherein the vehicle's water pump rotates said hub; a plurality of blades each having a coupled end, a free end, a front edge and a back edge, said coupled end of said plurality of blades each being coupled to said outer wall of said hub, said plurality of blades being evenly spaced apart and distributed around and entire circumference of said outer wall of said hub; and each of said plurality of blades being twisted along a longitudinal axis extending through said coupled and free ends of each of said plurality of blades, said free end of each of said plurality of blades being curved between said front and back edges of said plurality of blades wherein said plurality of blades is configured to collect and urge air at a high velocity when said hub is rotated, said plurality of blades urging the air at the high velocity through the vehicle's radiator wherein said assembly improves an efficiency of the vehicle's radiator.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] 1. Field of the Disclosure
[0002] The disclosure relates to fan devices and more particularly pertains to a new fan device for replacing a vehicle's radiator cooling fan so the vehicle's radiator is cooled more efficiently.
SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0003] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a hub that may be coupled to a vehicle's water pump. A plurality of blades is coupled to and radiates outwardly from the hub. Each of the plurality of blades has a twisted shape. The plurality of blades urges air at a high velocity through the vehicle's radiator when the hub is rotated by the vehicle's water pump. The assembly improves an efficiency of the vehicle's radiator.
[0004] There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0013] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new fan device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
[0014] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the cooling fan assembly 10 generally comprises a hub 12. The hub 12 has an outer wall 14 extending forwardly from a back wall 16 of the hub 12. The outer wall 14 of the hub comes to a point at a front end 18 of the hub 12. Moreover, the hub 12 has a bullet shape.
[0015] The back wall 16 of the hub 12 is coupled to a vehicle's water pump 20. The vehicle 22 may be a passenger vehicle of any conventional design. The vehicle's water pump 20 rotates the hub 12.
[0016] A plurality of blades 24 is provided. Each of the plurality of blades 24 has a coupled end 26, a free end 28, a front edge 30 and a back edge 32. The plurality of blades 24 is each elongated between the coupled 26 and free 28 ends. The coupled end 26 of the plurality of blades 24 is each coupled to the outer wall 14 of the hub 12. Moreover, the plurality of blades 24 is evenly spaced apart and distributed around and entire circumference of the outer wall 14 of the hub 12.
[0017] Each of the plurality of blades 24 is twisted along a longitudinal axis extending through the coupled 26 and free 28 ends of each of the plurality of blades 24. The free end 28 of each of the plurality of blades 24 is curved between the front 30 and back 32 edges of the plurality of blades 24. Additionally, the coupled end 26 of each of the plurality of blades 24 is flat between the front 30 and back 32 edges of the plurality of blades 24. The coupled end 26 of each of the plurality of blades 24 has a width that is greater than a width of the free end 28 of each of the plurality of blades 24.
[0018] The plurality of blades 24 may collect and urge air at a high velocity when the hub 12 is rotated. Additionally, the plurality of blades 24 urges the air at the high velocity through the vehicle's radiator 34. The assembly 10 improves an efficiency of the vehicle's radiator 34.
[0019] In use, a method 36 of increasing an efficiency of the vehicle's radiator 34 includes a step 38 of providing the plurality of blades 24 with the twisted shape that are each coupled to the hub 12. The method 36 includes a step 40 of removing an existing fan 42 from the vehicle's water pump 20. Finally, the method 36 includes a step 44 of coupling the hub 12 to the vehicle's water pump 20. The plurality of blades 24 increases a cooling efficiency of the vehicle's radiator 34.
[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
