Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

Field of the Disclosure

[0001] The disclosure relates to hanger devices and more particularly pertains to a new hanger device for facilitating covering and uncovering of a pool by holding a pool cover around a portion of a pool perimeter.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

[0002] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a cover support having a bottom section and a pair of side sections. The side sections are spaced apart and the bottom section extends between the side sections. The cover support is configured for supporting a pool cover on the bottom section between the side sections. A connector has an extension section coupled to and extending from the cover support. The connector has a hook coupled to and extending from the extension section wherein the connector is configured for extending over and engaging a lip of a pool. Thus, the cover support is hung from the pool adjacent to a top of the pool.

[0003] There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

[0004] The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0005] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0006] FIG. 1 is a top front side perspective view of a pool cover hanger device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0007] FIG. 2 is a top back side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0008] FIG. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure installed on a pool.

[0009] FIG. 4 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0010] FIG. 5 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0011] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new hanger device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0012] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the pool cover hanger device 10 generally comprises a plurality of cover supports 12. Each cover support 12 has a respective bottom section 14 and a pair of side sections 16. The side sections 16 of each cover support 12 are spaced apart. The bottom section 14 of each cover support 12 extends between the side sections 16 of each cover support 12. The side sections 16 extend upwardly such that each cover support 12 is substantially U-shaped. Thus, each cover support 12 is configured for supporting a pool cover 20 on the bottom section 14 between the side sections 16. The side sections 16 of each cover support 12 extend from the bottom section 14 of the cover support 12 at a right angle.

[0013] Each of a plurality of connectors 22 has a respective extension section 24 coupled to and extending from an associated one of the cover supports 12. Each connector 22 may be integrally coupled to the associated cover support 12. Each connector 22 extends from a respective distal end 26 of one of the side sections 16 relative to the bottom section 14 of the associated cover support 12. Each extension section 24 of the connector 22 is transverse relative to the one of the side sections 16 of the associated cover support 12. Each connector 22 also has a respective hook 28 coupled to and extending from the extension section 24 wherein each connector 22 is configured for extending over and engaging a lip 30 of a pool 32. Thus, each cover support 12 is hung from the pool 32 adjacent to a top 34 of the pool 32. Each cover support 12 is coupled to an associated one of the connectors 22 to define a plurality of hangers 36. Each hanger 36 has a consistent cross-sectional shape transverse to a longitudinal axis of the hanger 36. An outer end 66 of each hanger 36 is rounded such that snagging of the outer end 66 on the pool cover 20 is reduced and the hanger 36 is less likely to damage the pool cover 20.

[0014] In use, the hangers 36 are attached to the pool 32 in spaced relationship around a portion of a perimeter of the pool 32. The pool cover 20 may be removed from the pool 32 by rolling or folding the pool cover 20 towards the portion of the perimeter of the pool where the hangers 36 are positioned. The pool cover 20 is then positioned in the cover support 12 of each hanger 36. The hangers 36 hold the pool cover 20 adjacent to the top 34 of the pool 32. Thus, the hangers 36 provide for efficient storage of the pool cover 20 and quick return of the pool cover 20 to a covering position over the pool 32.

[0015] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0016] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
