Cool Foods is a multi-functional, refrigerated food display device/design
which addresses the need to have controlled temperature and humidity food
environments.
Many environments and situations require foods be displayed and
maintained at refrigerated temperatures in order to prevent certain foods

1. Cool Foods' claim is that it is a new, unique appliance that brings a
solution to remote refrigeration needs in the food industry--whether it
is a Birthday Party, Wedding or other event. These appliances replace the
need for and use of ice and dry ice. There are no other companies that

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
[0001] Cool Foods is a multi-functional, refrigerated food platform display appliance.
[0002] The design addresses the need to have controlled temperature and humidity food environments. Many environments and situations require foods be displayed and maintained at refrigerated temperatures in order to prevent certain foods from reaching melting points or spoiling (wedding cake/cup cake frostings, seafood on buffets, etc).
BACKGROUND
[0003] Scott Nechay is a Graduate of the NY French Culinary Institute and through his 20+ career Catering and acting as a Private Chef, he has continually fought to keep foods at refrigerated temperatures, for extended periods of time. As an example, most of the wedding cake frostings are composed of either buttercream, fondant or chocolate. All of which are sensitive to heat and different humidity levels.
[0004] How invention came about--In Late August of 2013 in Jackson, Wyo. Scott Nechay was Catering a Wedding for 150 people. A well-known Wedding Cake Maker in the Valley was responsible for the Clients Wedding Cake that day. Several hours prior to the Ceremony and Reception, The Cake Maker's Assistants dropped of the cake to the wedding site with no proper refrigeration. On that day in Wyoming, the temperatures were in the high 80's and no cloud cover which equals, very hot here. Their solution was 2 coolers opened side by side with aluminum sheet tray on the top and bottom to "seal in" the freezing air of the dry ice inserted into the coolers to supply refrigeration. This had the opposite effect and in fact, froze the frosting on the cake and partially freezing the cake itself.
