CROSS REFERENCE

[0001] This application is a continuation of U.S. provisional patent application No. 61/979,536, filed on Apr. 15, 2014, titled COOLERWEBS REMOVABLE GEAR BAG FOR USE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF ICE COOLERS, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND

[0002] The present invention is directed to a gear bag that is used inside of ice coolers.

[0003] the present invention is a gear bag that uses hook and loop materials to attach to either the underside of the cooler lid or to the side walls of an ice cooler.

[0004] The present invention is designed to be a thin and low profile bag that minimizes the space that it occupies within the ice cooler.

[0005] The hook and loop acrylic hook tape is manufactured to adhere at temperatures that are not lower than -40 degree Fahrenheit. The tape is manufactured attach to the inside of ice cooler and not to come off when removing the gear bag from the inside of the ice cooler.

[0006] The gear bag is made of a mesh material that allows the air temperature within the ice cooler to transfer to the gear bag.

[0007] For the foregoing reasons, there is a need for a removable cooler gear bag that uses hook and loop materials to attach it to the inside of an ice cooler.

SUMMARY

[0008] The present invention describes a removable cooler gear bag, the gear bag comprises of a first rectangular material made of PVC coated mesh having a top, a bottom, a left and a right side, a second rectangular material is made of a polyester mesh having a top, a bottom, a left and a right side and the second rectangular material is placed above the first rectangular material so that the bottom sides of the first and second rectangular materials are adjacent to each other, the second rectangular material has the same width as the first rectangular material, yet the height is at least an inch and a half shorter than the first rectangular material, the first and second rectangular materials are attached to each other by a two inch polypropylene webbing material border that is sewn to the first and second rectangular materials, the second rectangular material has a top that is reinforced by two layers of polyester elastic that are sewn and that sandwich the top of the second rectangular material, the first rectangular material forms a pocket with the second rectangular materials by a hook and loop securing system that is sewn to the first rectangular material and the polyester elastic layer that is adjacent to the first rectangular material, the side of the first rectangular material not attached to the second rectangular material has a one inch loop strip that runs along the polypropylene webbing material border, a hook rectangular carrier having a first and a second side that is one and a half inches in width and that parallels the polypropylene webbing material border, the first side of the hook carrier defines the hook strip and the second side defines a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer, and a peal off material layer that is attached to the adhesive layer.

[0009] The pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive layer is used to adhere to the inside of a plastic cooler, thereby preventing the rejection of the adhesive layer by the energy level of the plastic cooler. And, in addition, the acrylic adhesive layer accomplishes a long term bond in a moist and chilled environment. The adhesive material is a high pressure acrylic.

[0010] An object of the present invention is to provide a removable gear bag that can be used inside of an ice cooler.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to provide a gear bag that conserves space within an ice cooler.

[0012] A further object of the present invention, when the present invention is attached to underside of the cooler lid, is to fit within the open space created between the top of the ice and the cooler contents and the bottom of the lid.

[0013] Still a further object of the present invention, when the invention is attached to the underside of the cooler lid, is to prevent items being stored in the gear bag from getting wet while remaining cooled.

[0014] Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a gear bag in which chilled gel packs can be stored while inside a cooler, thereby preventing the shifting of the gel packs within the ice cooler.
