Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a hair brush or styling device, and more particularly to a hair brush or styling device including one or more rows of comb teeth or bristles disposed or arranged in a helical status or structure or configuration for suitably and effectively brushing or styling the hair of the user and for preventing the hair of the user from being entangled with each other.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] Various kinds of typical hair brush or styling devices have been developed and provided for brushing or styling the hair of the user and comprise a number of comb teeth or bristles attached or mounted or secured to a comb base or the like for engaging with and for brushing or styling the hair of the user.

[0005] For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,635,658 to Chang, U.S. Pat. No. 4,988,228 to Yeh, U.S. Pat. No. 5,133,103 to Nagasawa, U.S. Pat. No. 5,323,793 to Lorenzi, and U.S. Pat. No. 5,638,836 to Yasuda disclose several of the typical hair brush or styling devices each also comprising a number of comb teeth or bristles attached or mounted or secured to a comb base or the like for engaging with and for brushing or styling the hair of the user.

[0006] However, the comb teeth or bristles are normally arranged in lines and rows or in a matrix status or structure or configuration and may not suitably separate or space the hair from each other such that the hair of the user may have a good chance to be entangled with each other; i.e., the hair of the user may not be suitably and effectively brushed or styled with the typical hair brush or styling devices.

[0007] The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional hair brush or styling devices.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hair brush device including one or more rows of comb teeth or bristles disposed or arranged in a helical status or structure or configuration for suitably and effectively brushing or styling the hair of the user and for preventing the hair of the user from being entangled with each other.

[0009] In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a hair brush device comprising a cylindrical or longitudinal body member including a handle extended from an inner end portion of the cylindrical body member for being grasped or gripped or held by a user, and the cylindrical body member includes an outer end portion located distal to the handle, the cylindrical body member includes a first helical area and a second helical area disposed and located between the inner and the outer end portions of the cylindrical body member and parallel to each other, and the cylindrical body member includes a first row of bristles and at least one second row of bristles arranged in a helical status in the first helical area of the cylindrical body member, and the first row of bristles and the second row of bristles each include a plurality of bristle elements disposed and arranged in the first helical area of the cylindrical body member and equally spaced from each other for suitably engaging with the hair of the user and for suitably spacing or disengaging or separating the hair of the user from each other and for preventing the hair of the user from being entangled with each other.

[0010] The bristle elements of the rows of bristles preferably include a height (H, I, G) different from each other for suitably engaging with the hair of the user and for suitably spacing or disengaging or separating the hair of the user from each other. The two or more rows of bristles are preferably parallel to each other and equally spaced from each other.

[0011] The bristle elements include a spacing distance (Y) greater than a spacing distance (X) between the rows of bristles, and smaller than a width (W) of the second helical area of the cylindrical body member for suitably engaging with the hair of the user.

[0012] Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0022] Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1-4, a hair brush or styling device 1 in accordance with the present invention is developed and provided for brushing or styling the hair 80 of the user 8 (FIG. 1) and comprises a tubular or longitudinal or cylindrical shaped body or member 10 including a handle 11 extended from one or inner or first end portion 12 thereof for being grasped or gripped or held by the user 8 (FIGS. 1, 9), and the cylindrical body member 10 includes an outer or free end portion 13 located distal to the handle 11, and includes one or more (such as two) helical strips or portions or areas 14, 15 disposed or arranged or located side by side or parallel to each other, and disposed or located between the two end portions 12, 13 of the cylindrical body member 10.

[0023] The cylindrical body member 10 includes one or more (such as three) rows of comb teeth or bristles 2, 3, 4 disposed or arranged in a helical status or structure or configuration in the first helical strip or portion or area 14, and the second helical strip or portion or area 15 of the cylindrical body member 10 has no comb teeth or bristles disposed or formed or provided therein, and the two or more rows of comb teeth or bristles 2, 3, 4 are preferably parallel to each other and equally spaced from each other for a spacing distance (X) as shown in FIG. 6, and each row of comb teeth or bristles 2, 3, 4 include a number of comb teeth or bristle elements 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 . . . ; 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 . . . ; 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 . . . which are also preferably equally spaced from each other for a spacing distance (Y) (FIG. 6).

[0024] As also shown in FIG. 6, the spacing distance (Y) between the bristle elements 20-24, 30-34, 40-44 is preferably greater than the spacing distance (X) between the rows of bristles 2, 3, 4, and preferably smaller than the width (W) of the second helical area 15 of the cylindrical body member 10 or the spacing distance (W) between the helical portions of the first helical area 14, for allowing the hair 80 of the user 8 to be suitably and effectively spaced or disengaged or separated from each other and brushed or styled with the bristle elements 20-24, 30-34, 40-44 of the rows of bristles 2, 3, 4, and for preventing the hair 80 of the user 8 from being entangled with each other.

[0025] As shown in FIGS. 3-4, the bristle elements 20-24, 30-34, 40-44 of the rows of bristles 2, 3, 4 may include a length or height different from each other, for example, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the bristle elements 20-24, 30-34, 40-44 of different rows of bristles 2, 3, 4 may include a height (H, I, G) different from each other for suitably and effectively engaging with the hair 80 of the user 8 and for suitably and effectively spacing or disengaging or separating the hair 80 of the user 8 from each other, and thus for suitably and effectively brushing or styling the hair 80 of the user 8, and for preventing the hair 80 of the user 8 from being entangled with each other.

[0026] In operation, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 9, the handle 11 of the cylindrical body member 10 will be grasped or gripped or held by the user 8, and both the cylindrical body member 10 and the forearm 81 of the user 8 may be pivoted or rotated relative to the elbow 88 of the user 8 to suitably and effectively engage with the hair 80 of the user 8 and to suitably and effectively space or disengage or separate the hair 80 of the user 8 from each other.

[0027] Accordingly, the hair brush or styling device in accordance with the present invention includes one or more rows of comb teeth or bristles disposed or arranged in a helical status or structure or configuration for suitably and effectively brushing or styling the hair of the user and for preventing the hair of the user from being entangled with each other.

[0028] Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
