BATH BEAD CRAFT SYSTEM AND METHOD

Abstract

A decorative bath product apparatus and method of creating the apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a container made from transparent or translucent material and is filled and otherwise arranged with at least two dry bath additives, each having unique colors. A related method is also disclosed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention is generally directed toward the use of sand art techniques, and more specifically, toward using sand art techniques with powdered, beaded, or granular bath additives, to create novel artistic and decorative bath products, and related method.

[0004] Bath beads are typically round or oval shaped glycerine gel capsules filled with premium natural oils for use in a bathtub. Common ingredients include oils, lathering agents, skin conditioners, water softeners, dyes and fragrances. Bath beads come in formulations that moisturize, exfolia, relax, energize or otherwise help the consumer in some way.

[0006] However, the prior art does not disclose the creation of a decorative bath product utilizing bath heads in a sand art-style craft. The prior art also fails to disclose a decorative bath product system where colored bath beads are arranged in a refillable clear or translucent container in an artistic manner prior to use in a bathtub.

[0007] Therefore, there is a need for a decorative bath product that addresses the shortcomings of the prior art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The inventive decorative bath craft system and related method described herein satisfies the needs set out above.

[0009] In one aspect of the present invention, a bath product apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a container having a cavity therein, and a plurality of bath beads arranged within the cavity. The bath beads have a plurality of colors and/or fragrances and are arranged in a desired design within the container. The container can be made from transparent or translucent materiaL

[0010] In another aspect of the present invention, the bath product apparatus previously set is disclosed. This aspect includes other dry bath additive material placed within the cavity of the container by use of sand art techniques. This dry material can include such material as salt crystals, magnesium sulfate crystals (Epson Salt) and bubble bath.

[0011] In one aspect of the present invention, to method of creating a bath bead filled apparatus is disclosed. The method includes providing a container having a cavity therein. The container further includes a sealable opening. Quantities of a bath beads having a various color and/or various fragrances are placed within the cavity to create a desired design. The sealable opening is then sealed until such time as the bath beads are placed into a bathtub for use therein.

[0012] One advantage the present invention has over the prier art is that it is reusable. The prior art sand art typically is placed on a shelf or table top so as not to disrupt the arrangement of the sand therein. If the prior art sand art is disturbed, the entire item is usually discarded. The present invention is designed to be disturbed when the dry bath additive material is emptied into a bath for use therein. Once that occurs, container can be refilled with additional dry bath additive material, and allowing for a different interior design to be created.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] The present invention is generally directed toward the use of sand art techniques, and more specifically, toward using sand art techniques decorative bath beads to create novel artistic and decorative bath products that can be used and refilled, and related method.

[0016] As illustrated in FIG. 1, an embodiment of the present invention includes a bath product apparatus 10 having a container 12 with a cavcavity 14 therein, and a plurality of bath beads 16 arranged with the cavity 14. The bath beads 16 have a plurality of colors 18, 20, 22 and/or fragrances and are arranged in a desired design 24 within the container 12. The container 12 can be made from transparent tir translucent material.

[0017] Those skilled in the art will readily recognize that the container 12 can take any desired shape, form or size. For example, rectangular shapes, conical shapes, animal shapes, a building, and as indefinite number of other objects, without departing from the scope, purpose and objects of the present invention.

[0018] Those skilled in the art will recognize that the inclusion of bath beads is not limiting. Other powdered, beaded, or granular bath additives can be used. These bath additives can include such material as salt crystals, magnesium sulfate crystals (Epson Salt) and bubble bath.

[0019] An additional embodiment of the present invention includes a method of creating a bath bead filled apparatus. The method includes providing a container having a cavity therein. The container further includes a sealable opening. Quantities of a bath beads having a various color and/or various fragrances are placed within the cavity to create a desired design. The sealable opening is then sealed until such time as the bath beads are placed into a bathtub for use therein.

[0020] The filling of the bath beads 16 may be done in accordance with sand art techniques depending on the desired design. Thus, the bath beads 16 can be selected to provide different colored layers or using different colors in various sections. Accordingly the bath beads will provide a desired design, which will be visible by reasons of the transparent or translucent material from which the container 12 is made.

The true scope of our invention is defined in the appended claims. Therefore, it is intended that the appended claims shall be construed to include both the preferred embodiment and all such variations and modifications as fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A bath product apparatus comprising; a container defining a cavity; and dry bath additives arranged within said cavity, said dry bath additives having a plurality of colors such that said container displays a desired design.

2. The bath product apparatus of claim 1 wherein said dry bath additives comprise a plurality of bath beads.

3. The bath product apparatus of claim 2 wherein said plurality of bath beads comprises at least a plurality of first bath heads having a first color and a plurality of second bath beads having a second color.

4. The bath product apparatus of claim 2 wherein said plurality of bath beads comprises a plurality of sets of bath beads, each of the plurality of sets of bath heads having a unique color.

5. The bath product apparatus of claim 1 wherein said dry bath additives having a plurality of fragrances.

6. The bath product apparatus of claim 1 wherein said container includes translucent material.

7. The bath product apparatus of claim 1 wherein said container includes transparent material.

8. The bath product apparatus of claim 1 wherein said dry bath additives are selected from the group consisting of salt crystals, magnesium sulfate crystals and bubble bath.

9. A method of creating a dry bath additive filled apparatus, said method comprising: providing a container defining a cavity therein and having a sealable opening in communication with the cavity; placing a quantity of first dry bath additives having a first color through the sealable opening until the desired amount of the first dry bath additives are arranged within the cavity; placing a quantity of second dry bath additives having a second color through the sealable opening until the desired amount of the second dry bath additives are arranged within the cavity; and sealing the sealable opening until such time as the dry bath additives are placed into a bathtub for use therein.

10. The method of claim 9 further comprising placing a desired amount of third dry bath additives having a third color through the sealable opening prior to sealing the opening.

11. The method of claim 8 further comprising placing a desired amount of more than two sets of dry bath additives through the sealable opening prior to sealing the opening, wherein each set of dry bath additives having a unique color.

12. The method of claim 9 further wherein said dry bath additives having a plurality of fragrances.

13. The method of claim 9 further wherein said container includes translucent material.

14. The method of claim 9 further wherein said container includes transparent material.

15. The method of claim 9 further wherein said dry bath additive comprise a plurality ot bath beads.

16. The method of claim 9 further wherein said dry bath additive are selected from the group consisting of salt crystals, magnesium sulfate crystals and bubble bath.
