Description:

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The invention relates to a system for manufacturing support bases for photovoltaic units and the like with a special multilink made of triangular units.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Until today, the technology for the manufacture of support bases for photovoltaic units and the like has had no similar construction to demonstrate.

[0003] Rather, it is restricted to classic systems using large intercepts and weight profiles to secure the required statics of the construction, which on site may require many measurements, limitations, alignments, and adjustments that may demand many working hours and may raise significantly the final cost of construction. Also, the support way of the photovoltaic units is done from the upper side of the construction so as to create many projections that trap waste water in the profile grooves. In general, this may create an ugly aesthetic result that is not harmonized with the aesthetic technologic requirements of the subject photovoltaic units and the like.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The invention as referred to below has the scope to achieve solving these fundamental disadvantages in a way that sets a new technical rule in the technology of manufacturing support bases for photovoltaic units and the like.

[0005] The advantages contained in the present invention include, but are not limited to:

[0006] 1) Quick assembly, limitation, alignment, and adjustment of the base both in the manufacturing facility as well as on site

[0007] 2) A clean flat surface on the upper side of the photovoltaic units that does not trap waste due to the absence of the upper external links.

[0008] 3) Easy adjustment and correction of the inclination of the base to the degree wished.

[0009] 4) Solid construction with little weight and excellent aesthetic result.

[0010] 5) Significant reduction in construction and installation costs by non-specialized persons.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] One embodiment of the invention is described below, referring to drawings and indicatively describing, but also in a technically clear manner, a way to basically create a support base for photovoltaic units wherein:

[0012] Drawing 1 shows prospectively the support base for photovoltaic units assembled and the way in which the metallic spokes create equilateral triangles of selected dimensions that are linked and supported.

[0013] Drawing 2 shows prospectively the multilink open with the spokes and the foot of the base with the adjustment screw.

[0014] Drawing 3 shows prospectively the multilink closed with the adjustment screw and the support foot of the base.

[0015] Drawing 4 shows a front view of the support profile of the photovoltaic frames and the way to clasp them.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0016] The drawings indicate a system of manufacturing support bases for photovoltaic units and the like with a special multilink made of triangular components, including a multilink (1), bearing a central opening (2), perimeter openings (3), a hexagonal cavity (4), spoke entrance cavities (5), a circular projection (6), and a broadened opening (7) as is shown in drawing 2. The metallic spokes (8) bear recesses (9) on both sides that are correctly inserted in the cavities (5) of the multilink (1) and coincide correctly with the circular projections (6) that block the exit of the spokes (8) from the multilink (1). The spokes are finally arrested between two identical parts forming the multilink (1) by the screw (10), which enters through the central opening (2) and is screwed by the nut (11), which is placed in the hexagonal cavity (4) of the multilink (1) without being rotated. Simultaneously and in the same way the adjustment screw (12) is supported which at the upper end has a circular recess (9) similar to the recesses (9) of the spokes (8). The screw (12) is screwed to the foot (13) bearing a corresponding screw thread or corresponding incorporated nut. The foot (13) bears openings (14) through which screws may be passed to support the base.

[0017] In this way, we can create equilateral triangles of selected dimensions, which form a complete unit. A corresponding number of these complete units are assembled to each other into a hexagonal profile (15). The hexagonal profile (15) enters in the hexagonal cavity (4) of the multilink (1) and is supported by a screw (17), which passes by the broadened opening (7) of the multilink (1) and the opening (16) of the hexagonal profile (15) and is screwed by a nut (18). The hexagonal profile (15) operates as a spacer link of the triangular units of the base and can selectively be placed in some or all the parts that have multilinks (1) and are cut in length corresponding to the width of the photovoltaic frames.

[0018] On the upper side of the base frame and the upper battery of the multilinks (1), a profile (19) is firmly supported. The profile (19) bears at its lower part openings (26) through which pass screws (27) that pass through the perimeter openings (3) of the multilink (1) and are screwed by a nut (28) as shown in drawing (4). The profile (19) bears a circular groove (20) in which profile (24) glides in with a length corresponding to the opening (25) in which the screw (23) enters and is screwed to a nut (22) that is gliding in a corresponding groove (21) on the profile (19). By clasping the screw (23), the profile (24) is circularly pushed upward and firmly supports the photovoltaic frame (29) on the profile (19) as shown in drawing 4. The photovoltaic frames (29) glide between the profiles (19) directly and are firmly supported by tightening the screw (23) without requiring measurements and limitation.

[0019] The above basic accessories are assembled as shown in the attached drawings according to their basic construction and function and can be manufactured in every desired form, size, shape, or material type. Possibilities of detailed variations are not discussed in the present disclosure and drawings. For every construction need, it is possible to amend either the form of the profiles and the devices and/or the functional mechanisms thereof, without altering the basic principles of the invention by which through the multilink (1), having two identical parts, e.g., six spokes (8) are supported and finally immobilized, without the possibility to exit the multilink (1), just by a screw (5) and a nut (11), with the aforementioned advantages.

[0020] In order to manufacture the profiles (15), (19) and (24), the manufacturing of molds may be required. In order to manufacture the multilink (1) and the foot (13), it may be required to manufacture casting-press or injection molds and that these may be made of a corresponding aluminum alloy, e.g., AG 10 or of a synthetic plastic mixture, e.g., Nylon 6.6 or other corresponding synthetic plastics existing on the market.

[0021] It is understood that the multilink (1) can be used for a multitude of other constructions, e.g., warehouse frames, greenhouses, and the like.
