Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The field of endeavor for the Caddy Adapter is for pools, lakes, rivers & boating recreational fields. It would be classified in GROUP III. 206 Special Receptacle of the U.S. Patent Classification Definitions.

[0002] The defined problem: Maneuverability when floating on a pool noodle/water log in the water, while holding a beverage in one hand and trying to maneuver with the other hand. There is currently no adapter available on the market to join together a pool noodle/water log and a beverage container.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The Caddy Adapter solves the problem of holding a beverage in one hand and trying to maneuver in the water with the other hand, when floating on a pool noodle/water log. This adapter holds insulated beverage containers so both hands are free to swim and maneuver about. I solved this problem while floating on pool noodles/water logs over the summer of "2010" at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS SUPPLIED

[0004] Section A-A--Depicts side view cutaway dimensions of the adapter

[0005] Detail B--Depicts detail of the insertion nipple dimensions

[0006] Section C-C--Depicts bottom view and dimensions of the ribs on the insertion nipple

[0007] Figure A--Depicts how the caddy adapter is inserted into a pool noodle/water log

[0008] FIG. 1--Depicts the caddy adapter inserted into a pool noodle/water log and holding a beverage can surrounded by an insulated cover

[0009] FIG. 2--Depicts the caddy adapter inserted into a pool noodle/water log and holding a beverage bottle surrounded by an insulated cover

[0010] FIG. 3--Depicts the caddy adapter inserted into a pool noodle/water log and holding an insulated beverage cup

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0011] Caddy adapter Section A-A depicts side view cutaway dimensions of the adapter. This section shows the insertion nipple on the bottom half which will be discussed in Detail B. The base in section A-A is a two stage section. The first stage is the larger inside diameter stage and is the wall of the main body of the caddy adapter. This is a circular piece that supports insulated beverage cans. The second stage, the smaller inside diameter stage, is supported by 10 spokes around the perimeter that support insulated beverage bottles and insulated cups.

[0012] Caddy adapter Detail B depicts the insertion nipple that is a cylindrical tube section that inserts into the pool noodle/water log and holds the caddy in place.

[0013] Caddy adapter Section C-C depicts bottom view and the ribs on the insertion nipple that run lengthwise of the nipple. These ribs secure a tight fit to prevent the caddy adapter from dislodging or twisting from the pool noodle/water log.
